@@rond6783 No, I know how common it is and that's why I said it. Thanks to You Tube, I've watched every Nascar race since it's beginnings, all the way up to 1994. I was studying the history of Nascar and wanted to see it's progression over time. And yes, it's very common for an announcer to say something about a car, and almost immediately they say something and the car would blow up or crash. The weirdest and creepiest thing is watching around the time of Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki. Some of the things the would say would be haunting since I'm watching in review, and I know they both will die, and what the announcer would say would be without that knowledge, yet, their statements were almost prophetic. Anywho, I discovered Nascar late in life, and love it's history and characters. I love and hate lots of drivers, but my fav of all time was Neil Bonnet. It was strange listening to him announce knowing he'd get back in the car and die. Hell of a racer though. He should have quit driving and stuck to the announcing gig.

I was there....and I can tell you right now, at least a third of the fans there didn't know Kyle Larson didn't win until Alex Bowman parked at the start/finish to celebrate.

Seeing Larson blow that tire on the last turn, of the last lap, will never NOT be the best ending to a race. Ever! I loved it!
I was watching from the top of my camper in turn 2. Everyone was freaking out when Larson hit the wall.

2021 dover a great pit stop to get him out front
2021 pocono 1 kyle larson blows a tire and allows bowman to get by.
This is by far alex bowmans best season of the cup series
At Chicagoland Bowman had the lead then got passed by Larson and then passed Larson again to win

My first time at the track, got 2 races for 1 admission, Great venue, great racing and my Guy Bowman won...At the track we were all confused because we didn't see when Larson tire went and next thing you know bownan crosses finish line 1st 🙏

Larson deserved that win. Showing he's the best driver. Nothing dirty, no blocking, no getting people lose. Just out drives everyone.
I Just got home from this race, unbelievable, and I loved my guy Bowman won..Poconos is a Great track First time there and I will definitely go back. The truck race was awesome also, JHN 💪🏻
As a Kyle Larson fan, and I’m so disappointed, but I still am a fan of the Hendricks group entirely so it ok
And Hamlin is still leading in points with no wins. While Larson has 4, how can NASCAR justify that ?
@@delhoghe Consistency. Despite Larson's hot streak, there was a time where he was less consistent, notable a very poor finish at Dega and the Roval. Alternatively, Hamlin has only had one dud at Kansas and has been in the top 10 in nearly every other race, and had a huge streak of top 5s early on. Even in Larson's stage of absolute dominance, Denny is still having great runs of his own to minimize the damage.
@@0123renee Larson and Hamlin both have 10 top 5, and 13 top 10 finishes. Again, I ask you, how can zero wins be better than 4 ? In this world.
@@delhoghe Larson also has 3 races outside the top 25. 29th at Bristol, 30th at the Roval, and dead last at Dega, meaning he got the minimum points possible. At the Roval and Bristol, Hamlin finished in 3rd in each race, a huge gap in points. Denny himself only has 1 finish outside the top 25, and that race also happened to be Dega, where Kyle got last in.
That makes the difference. When Larson dominates, Hamlin is still in the top 10 or 5. But when Larson struggles, Hamlin keeps that consistency. Larson is unable to capitalize when Hamlin has a bad day, but Hamlin is able to capitalize when Larson does.
It's the same reason Jeff lost the 1996 championship despite a 10-win season. Those bottom-of-the-pack finishes will deal a lot of damage, no matter how many wins you have.

From what I understand, there were some heated words between tony stewart and gene haas regarding this topic, stewart wanted him but haas didn’t want to know about it.. apparently his bad publicity would be bad for business 😂😂 luckily Rick Hendrick acknowledged that the boy can drive! And that’s all that matters
