End of summer, so you need to go for Ambre Sultan as your pick for the week. 🤣 In all sincerity, I'm happy to hear that you are opening up to Iris, as I know that you have mentioned in the past that you haven't been very fond of the Iris note. It just validates that our senses keep changing over time. It's one of the best surprises that I have learned in this journey. Take Care.
Pop culture sounds interesting! Also would Iike to get my nose on the molecule + ones, mandarin specifically. I have the original 01 and love it, but based on what you’ve said about iris I’ll need to test that one as well. Me and iris don’t really get along too well sadly, the ones that lean powdery tend to give me a headache. Great list! Weekly rotation: Monday - Frapin L’humaniste Tuesday - Tom Ford Costa Azzura Aqua Wednesday - Montale chocolate greedy (only day of the year I wear this stuff 😅) Thursday - LV L’immensite Friday - Serge Lutens Chergui, JPG le male elixir Saturday - kerosene summer of 84 Sunday - n/a
@@TheScentinel they’re nice, just not really worth the retail price personally. Very inoffensive for the freshies. I’m not big on ombré nomade, it’s too much in my opinion. But L’immensite is my favorite, then imagination, then afternoon swim. Cactus garden was also pretty nice but sadly discontinued
@@TheScentinel funny you should ask actually, I forgot I did wear something Sunday and it goes along with your question. It was Guerlain aqua allegoria mandarine basilic, and that one actually has some similarities to afternoon swim. Similar issue as far as performance, but a much cheaper alternative for a very similar scent profile.
I really enjoyed my Pop culture samples too, loved the cola at the beginning, kind of reminded me of GGA. Don't understand why a certain podcast didn't give it a favourable review. Your scent association is spot on, sometimes that is all that is required to enjoy a fragrance.
@@TheScentinel One that I learnt to stop listening to...Les Oderants. They bashed it a bit for it's apparent naivety, then hyped some truly awful fragrances. I'm just not in sync with their preferences, experiences and lack of, alo ng with overladen expletives. It's easy enough just to unfollow and go elsewhere.
Thanks Pep, great to hear from you. Best wishes from Minnesota.

@brock6404 thank you for the summary. I take it they are still different enough that they don't have cheaper alternatives?

@@TheScentinel as for imagination and L’immensite, havent found any similar to those yet that. Lots of dupes for them but that’s not really my thing

What podcast?
