Borat isn't really about Kazakhstan. The character and the movie mock Eastern European stereotypes; Kazakhstan is in Central Asia. The country was picked because it was obscure enough in the West that they could say anything and get away with it.
Meanwhile, 10-15% of Kazakhstan's landmass located in Europe. They're trans-continental Eurasian country, such as Türkiye, Russia, Azerbaijan & Georgia 🙌🏽
We eat horse also in Austria - very rare but yes. It’s a special version from „Leberkäse“(a very hyped sort of meatloaf in the all day life - made from beef/pork meat) in Vienna. I tried one very delicious. Love from Austria 🇦🇹
We also rarely consume horse meat as a steak or any other non minced type of meat. Our absolute favorite go to is a Kazy (sausage made of horse ribs meat and horse fat).
Well, that was fun! 😂 The woman on the horse game?! 🤣❤ Dimash was conspicuously missing from the video. He is the one real Kazakh, that made this country famous. 😅 But at least you guys mentioned him. ❤
70% information is not true😂, probably the author of the video came up with it himself. It's better to see once than to hear false information 100 times😄
Nice to see you learn more about my country here's some more info and personal take - Kazakhstan has a continental climate with very cold winters and very cold summers (but climate change made everything more chaotic) - Nature is very beautiful we have Burabay resort which many visit it's like our little Switzerland (I heard service is poor but I haven't been there personally) - We have dunes that make sounds from vibrations if you walk through them - We held Expo 2017 - We had a bloody uprising in 16-19th December 1986 because we were unhappy with soviet government. They replaced a kazakh head figure with a different one not native to out country, so the kazakh youth protested. Many were arrested, sentenced and attacked that day in a series of brutality. - The Semipalatinsk polygon got shut down thanks to the Nevada-Semipalatinsk movement led by Olzhas Suleimenov in 1989. It got it's name and international meaning when we had USA(Nevada) delegates come by to vouch for an end to nuclear testing worldwide - We were the entire Soviet Union for 4 days after Russia became independent and we were the last to secede. We had all of USSR's nuclear weapon, which we got rid of for peace - Outside of oil we also have lots of uranium that we sell and France imports a lot of it from us after unstable situation in Niger where they got it before - China should be mentioned in friendzone, we do lots of business with them and it's not uncommon to celebrate Chinese New Year in certain places. There's chinese kazakhs in China and it's a common language to learn here like Turkish - We had an unrest in january 2022 because of rising gas prices. The protesters wrecked havoc and set fire on government buildings. CSTO forces have brutally attacked and arrested the protesters after the president declared it. It made international news while we had our internet access cut off for 3 weeks. The damage is currently under repair - Regarding Russia-Ukraine war our prez/government took a neutral stance however civilians feel unsafe because of our long border with Russia and history of being terrorised by them. Most of kazakhs seem to support neither or support Ukr. Volunteers set up humanitarian aid for ukrainians in the form of Yurts of Invincibility back then, which angered some nationalists. - Prior to Ukraine's Holodomor famine, in 1930 we went through a genocidal famine as well that killed 1.5 million kazakhs if not more - Historically we are a friendly nation that has always accepted displaced and unfortunate civilians. Due to Stalin's repressions a lot of people groups have been deported to Kazakhstan. That includes Tatars, Uzbeks, Ukrainians, Georgians, Koreans, Germans (Volga Germans)-everybody was welcome to live here and we accepted them like our own. That's my favourite part of being kazakh❤️ - Our current president Kassym Jomart Tokayev is a diplomat and a polyglot, he knows Kazakh, Russian, English, Chinese and French - We have traditional dress called koilek and traditional hat called tubeteika. Our traditional dances are very beautiful, we have traditional instruments like dombra and kobyz. We have traditional games called asyk and togyz kumalak. Our food includes plov/palau(fried rice with meat and veggies), bauyrsak(pastry), belyash(pastry with meat), kazy(horse), lagman(pasta) and drinks like kymyz(horse milk) and shybat(camel milk). But most kazakhs will say we drink milk tea the most it's part of our life
Uhmm...this video regarding friendship with ruzzia didn't age well..spoiled wine, i can say...because after invasion to ukraine, many Kazakhs are not loyal towards ruzzia anymore. ruzzians returned back to their colonial "doctrine". Many their officials publicly try to challenge independence and sovereignty of kazakh state.

@@stevengoode7194 judging by your logic, there is no landlocked countries at all, each country can have/share lakes, rivers, seas…too much attention to the terminology, overthinking is not good for health. At least for me as kazakhstani calling my country landlocked is making sense.
@@stevengoode7194 from Britannica: landlocked country, an independent sovereign state that does not have direct access to an ocean, such as the Atlantic, or to a sea that is not landlocked, such as the Mediterranean. Countries such as Kazakhstan, in Central Asia, that only have access to a landlocked sea such as the Caspian are considered landlocked.

Also the movie exploited a poor romani village's suffering for comedy/money

I hope to visit Austria someday❤️

Kazakhstan isn't a land locked country
it is...caspian sea technically is lake, Kazakhstan has no access to oceans..fair enough to say that it is landlocked country
@Adil-sp9lc I know but the words LAND locked means totally locked by land
