The Shah is a legend. How is that possible to be this accurate about the world? He was right on point answering questions. His wisdom is unbelievable. He was surely ahead of his time and ahead of his countrymen of the time, who apparently could not understand his superbly accurate vision. No wonder that Iranian new generations now chant slogans in favour of the Shah and his son Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi these days in the streets of Iran.
The 1979 revolution proved to be a regrettable decision, as it resulted in the loss of a thriving economy, social liberties, and progress towards a positive future. Instead of resorting to overthrowing the regime, dissatisfied individuals could have pursued avenues for change within the existing system. Under the leadership of Alahazrat Mohamad Reza Shah Pahlavi, Iran experienced significant development and prosperity, but unfortunately, his departure led to the downfall of our nation, the erosion of our freedoms, and numerous other setbacks.

I wanted to say that I understand your heartache and how you feel of what could've been had the Shah not fallen. I never went to Iran 🇮🇷 but what I would see about the country was from the news or a documentary. I always saw the great successes of the monarchy, especially in the equality of education for all, land reform, the building of mosque, new concepts in energy through nuclear power not just petro, advancements in medicine, the development to further economic viability for the nation, and an over all push towards modernity. Iran 🇮🇷 was a real success story. The Shah wanted the Iranian people to be proud of their heritage of a 2500 year old great civilation that was that of Persia. I believe the Shah wanted the Iranian people to reach for the stars, the sky was the limit. Iran was the only 3rd country in the world to have a Concorde, the world's 1st supersonic jet plane in their airline fleet. This was a great accomplishment. All these advances for he people became a threat to the religious clerics because they felt all those advancements went against Islam. The communists wanted to destroy and turn Iran 🇮🇷 into a Soviet satellite, and the Shah was in he way. The young people in the university went out to protest the Shah on lies and deception courtesy of the communists and the cleric joined in on the opportunity. The U.S.A. under Jimmy Carter decided to abandon a great friend and ally over lies of human rights violations and the oppression of the Iranian people by his secret police. This is briefly a story told to justify the arrival of the ayatoilet khomeini and his gangsters. When the ayatoilet khomeini came in is when the horrible mass killings began and gave birth to the evil terrorist nation called the islamic republic of Iran that in today's world is a monumental threat to the very existence of the world as we know it. All this took place beginning in 1979 when the Shah was forced to leave. The latter developed cancer that was treated in NYC but later died shortly. This was a very sad day for the Iranian people in Iran who couldn't escape, and those who did manage to escape to all parts of the world but especially to the USA in California. It has always been a sadness to me what happened to Iran 🇮🇷 because it happened to me and my family, and to all of my people in the diospora. The people who stayed behind suffer the most in both Iran and Cuba. You are still young and wil one day see and visit a FREE 🇮🇷 and Restored Iran with all its new beginnings and the Iran of now will be no more. I ask all Iranians to shout out loud in every part of the world for Freedom and join the young people of Iran to shout very loud # WE WANT CHANGE,ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WE WANT FREEDOM AND WE WANT IT NOW. WE WILL NEVER STOP TILL WE ARE FREE. FREE IRAN 🇮🇷 NOW. Go on all social media and call for demonstrations all over the world 🌎 against TERRORIST IRAN. You will be heard I see the Iranian people demonstrate for 🇮🇱 ISRAEL,many will join your cause ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Mossadegh the democratically elected leader who preceded Reza Pahlavy was ousted by the CIA because he took back Iran's oil industry which was primarily in the hands of the British, Americans and French and nationalised it. Before the nationalisation Iran was getting only a miniscule percentage of oil revenues. British Petroleum got disgustingly wealthy on the back of Iranian oil. The US was able to take back control of Iranian oil reserves once the pro-West, anti-communism Reza Pahlavi was reinstated following a CIA backed coup for which Reza Pahlavi was paid a million dollars. Iran's coffers overflowed with the 1973 oil crisis and instead of investing in infrastructure and in other areas which would have built a sound foundation for Iran's economy, he invested hugely in arms and weapons which were imported from the US. Pahlavi's was to make Iran a super-power in the Middle East. His white revolution did not bring any advantages to rural Iran. More than half the country's population remained poverty ridden. And then the mother of all galas to mark 2500 years of Iranis monarchy.....Pahlavi was always very insecure about the fact that his days of glory were very much dependent on the largesse of the US.
Mohammad Reza's regime was very corrupt and his secret service SAVAK committed huge human rights violations - torturing and killing dissidents. These people were/are disgustingly wealthy. Pahlavi's daily meals used to be flown in on the Concorde from Paris - every single day. While 51 percent of Iran's population was poverty stricken and there was a drought ravaging the country the man celebrated 2500 years of the monarchy by organizing the most expensive party in recorded world history. No Iranians were invited and all the contracts for the preparations went to European countries - mostly France. It was appalling. Reza Pahlavi and Farah work ed for the emanicipation of women ? Farah was the Pahlavi's third wife. He divorced his first two wives because they could not bear him sons. Emanicipated indeed. Also did he even know that the sex of the child is determined by the chromosome configuration of the male and not by that of the female ? Regardless how is this progressive in any sense ? The family fled Iran not because they thought they were doing their country a favour. They ran because they feared for their lives. The Pahlavi line was founded by a non-aristocratic Manzadarin soldier in 1925. So much for all those who believe in dynastic monarchies. The Pahlavis are not descendants of Cyrus by any means. They are arrivistas. Moreover Mohammad Reza Pahlavi himself ascended the throne riding on the CIA's coat-tails - a CIA backed coup for which he was paid a million dollars....laughable. He was a stooge of the Americans. An inept ruler he was. He was also notorious for his infidelities, for his insatiable sexual appetite and for his penchant for tall, blue-eyed European women. The family in exile....Farah lives in a luxurious Paris apartment with live-in domestic help. She has a car, a chauffeur and a body-guard. Valentino sends her his private jet so that she fly to Milan to attend a fashion show. The family has a huge fortune tucked away in Swiss banks and other tax-free havens. Some exile. She prefers to be addressed as Shahbanou and spends her time rmaintaining her "image" as an "empress" . These people are privileged and their lives cannot be compared to those of the simple folk who either stayed back in Iran or had to flee the Khomeini regime. As for losing children to suicide - I completely empathise. But worse things happen to ordinary people.
God forbid this family be reinstated as monarchs or given any form of authority ever again. That said the present regime is a nightmare. Iran needs a democratically elected government. At the same time the monarchy albeit a constitutional one must be abolished.

He did not precede him, he was the Prime Minister and was elected by the Majlis (parliament) and appointed by the Shah. He specifically nationalized and expropriated British Petroleum in Iran - which probably could have and should have been done in a different way as his popularity and hold on pwer was shaky and later he adopted many undemocratic ways and tried to curb the power of the Shah (who was not even that powerful at that time). Despite his positives, he brought about great turmoil for Iran and ultimately brought about a much less democratic country and repressive regime.

Shah knew every detail of tortures. He signed and ordered them. For
example Dr. Shariati was talking in Hosseinieh Ershad and he compared
Che Guevara to Imam Hossein. Dr. Seyed Hossein Nasr who was listening
called Shah and said that Shariati was a marxist and should be arrested.
Of course Shariati was arrested and under specific order of Shah he was
tortured horribly for two years. The same with Dr. Reza Baraheni who
was in Texas and was doing research about Azari language. When he
arrived in Iran he was arrested and tortured for 103 days by the order
of Shah. Human rights organizations were upset and contacted Shah until
Dr. Baraheni was eventually released and left Iran. Baraheni has written
about his time in Evin and torture in a book called "Crowned
Cannibals". You can read it and see what really was going on during the
time of Shah. Don't forget Shah was paying one million dollar per night
for sex to Anita Ekberg, Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly and one
hundred thousand dollars to Madame Claude's prostitutes.
Shah had a secret affair with the wife American Ambassador in Tehran between
1949 to 1951 and he had a child with her. Poor Ambassador never knew it is not his
    Child.

A democratically elected government is the answer to Iran's troubles. But a constitutional monarchy is completely unnecessary. Monarchies are an anachronism. All they do is to allow thoroughly unremarkable people to do thoroughly unremarkable work and strut around calling themselves prince, princesses and other rubbish. The very fact that Reza Pahlavi goes around using honorifics like to Shahzade, Prince and Imperial Highness is questionable and absurd. The bloke does not have a full-time job and lives off family wealth. He spends all his time delivering lectures, giving interviews and hosting press conferences....these people are entitled parasites.

I agree with a democratically elected government, but it will be the Iranian people who make the decision whether it is constitutional monarchy or secular republic. While a republic is more practical I understand the emotion and nostalgia some Iranians might have for a monarchy. The last 43 years have been a pure hell. And I think Mr. Pahlavi gets that and has said it should be up to the Iranian people. The main goal is the end of the islamic republic.
