    Was not expecting that honestly, especially after the Miss Hawaii girl was so quick to fill the Miss USA position. Well done Stephanie for taking life and your success into your own hands rather than the risk of being micromanaged by a failing organization. All the best 🥳

      These are TEENS which generally means under the age of consent. Which is sexualizing kids, ultimately. Go ahead and name call it doesn’t help your stance. Asking a question does not equal an unholy dictatorship where possibly multiple children are married to old perverts under the guise of “religion”.

    UmaSofia's a very sweet and articulate young woman and I warmed up to her win but the bottom line is this is a beauty pageant and the 1st runner-up was miles ahead in beauty and is equally well-spoken and is attending an ivy league college.

    • @dhutch457
      @dhutch457 15 дней назад +1

      Ah, but there's where you're wrong. Miss USA and Miss Teen USA are no longer just "beauty pageants". It's true that their appearance is important, after all, they're good will ambassadors for our country as well as being a representative for various sponsors, but these young women are expected to have platforms for various social programs that they take an interest in. That's where their intelligence is needed. When you enter a "beauty pageant" you only need to look pretty, your intelligence isn't a big factor. Look back to the earlier years of Miss USA when it was just a "beauty pageant" and you'll see what I mean. Contestants were usually models, secretaries and airline stewardesses, jobs where you needed to look nice but were rather subservient. Today, contestants are beautiful but they're doctors, attorneys, scientists, philanthropists, etc.

    • @phandapanda9644
      @phandapanda9644 15 дней назад +2

      @@dhutch457 I must agree with you on this. In my country South Africa, the miss SA organization has made it a point to choose articulate, intelligent and confident women - who captivate you when they speak. Physical beauty became a secondary/tertiary requirement. Even though they're still beautiful, it's not the core requirement. As a man who's had no interest whatsoever in beauty pageants before, my interest in such was only piqued by the new 'crop' of well-spoken and captivating women who are gracing the proverbial catwalk in greater numbers than before.

Or probably felt there was no options to complain because of NDAs. But this time around these women prioritized themselves over being harmed and found a way to bring attention to this matter.
