Sadly, the author pass away during the last part of December. So, she is forever immortal to us and she is always be our Lestat. Thankfully, her son is an author in his own right, so, we don’t know if he’ll be able to write vampire stories, but he makes good novels in his own way.
As for the books on the vampire chronicles, it’s definitely something to think about from where the journey has gone for the past 40 years.
From what I’ve read, Anne’s son Christopher Rice will continue the story, he’s collaborated with her before so it’ll be interesting to see his own take on the next book
@@VampireFolkloreVideos maybe so. But the last book that he collaborate with his mum, is the third and final book of The Mummy books or Ramase the Damned.
RIP Anne Rice.
We will all miss you.
WHAT !!!!!! Akash is from Iraq 😭😱 the same as me,girllllll you have no idea about how happy I am, because I have always wish to see a vampire female character from Iraq 😍😍
Yes, but Ancient Iraq was way different than the “Middle East” we know today. That whole area and most of Northern Africa has had a major shift in population
Can you do a series on The Twins? One show for each twin. Please.
House of Night, by PC and Kristin Cast, is a great vampire book that's going to be a TV series. No network has picked it up yet, but the fans are trying to get networks attention
I hope they do I love those books ..after I read them I said it would be a great tv show
I love these books. I really hope to see it live one day.
Do you like Blade series? I loved the Pureblood and clans ideas in this verse.
“There was a time when vampires didn’t exist “ so the same as every other story with vampires in then.
You should also look into the vampires of Vampire the Masquerade RPG
Can you do Order of the Talamasca?
Great video, I'm planning on reading the Anne Rice books, since they were one of the inspirations for Vampire: The Masquerade. Do you think you could do any videos for that game? Maybe "The Life of Jeanette/Therese Voerman", "Vampires from Vampire: The Masquerade Explained" or a video talking about one of its clans?
Actually, while I'm on the topic of ttrpgs, maybe a "Life of Strahd Von Zarovich" from the Curse of Strahd module for D&D?
You Should definitely read them they are really fantastic books with a great backstory, nothing is left unanswered with Anne which is why I love her books as they’re so satisfactory
You should do a video or videos on vampire academy! That would amazing.
Could you do the vampires from being human (American version)
hi
it has not been turned in to a movie or tv series sadly but i enjoy a book series called the night huntress by jeaniene frost. it has a few spin off series too. including its own take on Dracula. which i really like. just an idea.
Hey I’ve not actually heard of that series but I’ll look into it for sure and at least get 1 video done on it. What’s your favourite franchise?
@@VampireFolkloreVideos in movie and tv series. hard to say really. i enjoy the vampire diaries/ the originals. true blood buffy the vampire slayer. once upon a time twilight was my favourite. but in reading its jeaniene frost books
Im still confused as to how vampires die in this series... I get that sunlight and fire can kill them, but what about other methods? Is silver a thing, here? Can normal weapons do the trick? Or can they heal fairly quickly from a shot to the heart or head, for example?
Sunlight and fire, but even sunlight doesn't kill some of the stronger vampires. The only sure way is burning the body via either and scattering the ashes, otherwise they will regain form. Even beheading doesn't work, since the body will look for the head until it finds it, and with regular feeding, any wound will heal. Silver isn't a problem in the VC universe, just like the revulsion to religious imagery, they have regular mirror reflections as well.
After Vampire Dairies, I'm guessing Twilight then Buffy The Vampire Slayer and her spinoff Angel r next. Don't forget Underworld and Dracula Untold, as I advices before, go to dracula wiki and read the page of Vampires (Untold). There is a list of theories of more powers they possibly have. Oh and Dean, if you've watched the original Charmed from 1998-2006, the ones there, while only appearing in 2 eps, each clan has a queen. BUT, like in Vampire Chronicles, if the queen dies then so does the whole clan.
Underworld is so underrated for vampire lore it’s such a fantastic franchise! I’m going to cover buffy too, currently working on the life of the master from the strain have you ever watched that series ?
@@VampireFolkloreVideos No I haven't. Is it any good?
Not to be gross, but when I watched Interview the first couple of times, why couldn’t the woman hinde Claudia under her dress? Would that help?
If it were that simple there would be no need to hide in thick coffins.
thoughts on the casting for the series? weird right?
Strange one Jacob, i think in today's day and age, nobody can say anything without someone getting offended but i'll say this on the casting of Louis, it is inaccurate for the time in which 'Interview' was set. Slavery was at its peak, so i really don't believe there would be an African American plantation owner, enslaving his own race on his land..Just doesn't make sense to me, but hey, if they want Louis to be black, i've no issue with that, maybe they're trying to steer things towards a more modern approach, but again, does it reflect the time period? I don't think so.
lestat will be a transgender, armand will be gay... ops, he already is...
@@diogovieira5563right. I know you are joking but the show is very liberal in queer representation. I’m not sure why anyone would be confused or shocked about introducing racial diversity into the mix. Especially since Ann and her son wanted to push the timeline of the interview up to the current day and start Louis’s sorry in 1910. At that time, it would make sense for him and Claudia to be Creole, especially since she was rescued from Storyville in New Orleans (a real place that existed).
@@VampireFolkloreVideosthat disclaimer was very weird. Ann and her son were clear that they did want an updated story, though. And it makes the series infinitely better than the movie. The characters are more fleshed out and realistic. The actors also bodied their roles.
It was all good til ankil had caiman assault the twins. Well semi good that was unnecessary and then akasha w the tongue and eyes
💯
bram stoker is still going ok. _JC
In this video, you mentioned the books are still being written, who tf is still writing them? Anne Rice has been dead for weeks, so is there someone new I didn't know about?
Her son Christopher will continue the series
I heard her last books where a bit odd because she said the vampires where related to aliens or something that turned people away from the books. Not sure if her son could fix that.
