I love this fragrance. People call this Creed's old spice and I kind of see that but i don't care. The spiciness juxtaposed against the mint and sea salt is phenomenal. It has a retro feel yet is very modern. I may like this as much as aventus. Not worth 500 but I don't think any fragrance is, and I hardly buy anything full retail. So that's where our money goes! Beautiful packaging with samples for the reviewers. Not for quality control that avoids crappy batches. This is how hypes are created ... Nothing against you, though. Keep up the good work.
Just tried mont blanc individual on my left wrist, and creed santa on my right wrist, and initially smelt quite different, but after 20mins when dried down i cannot genuinely smell the difference between them, thanks for the great tip. going to be trying tres nuit by armaf against creeds green Irish tweed.
This is the review I was waiting for because you are definitely the first one who wore Viking for a full day Steven, You are an enciclopedia my friend, Im sure your students learn fast when you teach because you really go to the details, you are basically crumble out any Question with exact definition, I love all my fellow fragrance reviewers but You are a master to explain something, fragrances, books, watches you named, I hope you keep doing outstanding job Steven, you well deserve more subscribers my friend. Thanks for sharing.
+Rafael Balarezo Thank you so much, Rafael! You have no idea how much this comment means to me. I really appreciate viewers such as yourself who spread so much love and positivity. So far, of all of the reviewers who have reviewed this fragrance, I agree for the most part with everything they say! This is a difficult fragrance to describe. It changes a lot, and it's so abstract. My strongest recommendation would be to try it for yourself. Thank you again my brother, and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person one day! I would love that! Stay blessed, and have a wonderful weekend. My best to you and your family.
hello Steven .. thank you so much for reviewing many kinds of great perfumes...i want to ask you about your choice between Dior hypnotic poison or Dior poison girl..what do you prefer? i like them both but i want your advice...thank you again :)
I went to Neiman Marcus , I spray the 10 ml sample of Viking on my L arm and spray the tester Creed Viking on my R Arm, to my surprised the Tester bottle (darker yellow juice) is beast mode on my skin in terms of sillage and projection compare to the 10 ml sample (light yellow color juice). Try to layer Creed Viking with Declaration D Unsoir , elegant and unique scent.
@@Redolessence hey man. what do you mean with it doesn't live up to aventus's standards? Is it just not as good as aventus in terms of quality? Or is it just your personal opinion? Today i tested out aventus and viking and I prefer viking tbh. It shows its quality after 30-60 min. It only gets better and better. What do you think about that? greeting out of germany!
Hey Steven! i got a question. if a fragrance is marketed as a summer scent, and we wear it in the summer indoors (air-conditioned environments), is it still going to perform as well?
Talking about rose! Do you prefer Pardon by Nasomatto or Noir de Noir by Tom Ford. If you had to choose which one would I would appreciate your answer! Thank you!
Right on Red,always articulate and classy with yours!Thank you sir!First time I heard of this was on Jeramy's vid ,where he blogged that frag convention in Cannes or something. Can't wait to try it out.Peace & Blessings
+dexxhunt Ah, yes! I remember that video. That was an entertaining video, and he showcased many brands and many perfumers. Thank you very much for stopping by and spreading the positivity. It's always appreciated. I hope you're having a wonderful week, and I wish all the best to you and your family. Take care!
Redolessence Indeed man!He was stuntin like Evel Knievel on that vid lmao.Chillin on yacht parties, lounging with the founders of some of our fav brands etc etc,he was living it up.You got it Red, thank you for your kind words as well. The same to you and yours fam!Have a Blessed weekend and beyond.Big up!
I got my sample today, only took me two months haha. I have to say it reminds me of a spice drawer. The first thing I smell was cloves and I swear pine needles. The quality of the fragrance smells very impressive but also reminds me of my mom's spice drawer when I used to open it up and the first thing I would smell was cloves. The dry down was a lot more pleasant but the first 30 minutes of it just reminded me once again of fresh cloves. To me I think it would make a very nice and expensive hippie scent haha.
+FragranceView hey Peter! I would love to hear your take! I actually thought of you earlier today, because I have been sampling some raw materials, and it reminded me of your superb video on perfume making. Have a wonderful weekend!
how do you preserve your parfumes in order to maintain the scent exactly as it is was original ?? because i know that the light and the heat will alter the scent. Keep up the good work !
Steven, ALWAYS a pleasure to hear your review! I got a sample being sent to me thanks to Carlos (BFL) and your video last night. Thank you so much for the review. I appreciate that you don't COMPARE this to Aventus like allot of people are doing. Let the Fragrance speak for itself and try not to compare it to the monster of Aventus and I think allot more people will appreciate it better in that way. Can you say who the best sports player is if your 2 options are Michael Jordan and Babe Ruth? No they're both great in their own regards and we can't take away from one because of the success of the other. I think if we take this approach to this Fragrance, we'll begin to appreciate it more. Once again, thank you for the incredible review Steven! YOU SMELL WELL SO I SMELL GOOD! ;-)
+Mr Sillage Spoken like a true frag head! Thank you so much for the kind words, and I think that that's an incredible analogy! I would reserve comparisons until people get a chance to try it. Then, they can give the fragrance a chance to shine for itself. As far as the small goes, it's very different, but let's see how well it does on the market! Thank you again for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
Thanks for your more thorough first impression. I needed to spend more time with it to know how to react to it. I haven't worn it but I did smell it on paper. And just like you I kept going back and re-smelling it again and again. There's something therapeutic about it. I think the effervescence of the mint is what does that. Then in the dry down the warmth of sandalwood combined with the lingering minty notes made it very pleasant to me. This would actually make a good candle to burn in a room if you think about it. 🤔
+JoeSCENTMe I have to totally agree with your description! There's a nice warmth about it. I think it would make an awesome candle! Thank you for watching and for your awesome take!
Im 18 years old, what winter fragrance would you recommend for me? I like Dior Homme Intense very much, but there are some rumors that women don't like it. Can you make a review about Dior Home Intense? I would appreciate it. Btw, nice video as always😉
Smells solid, but I'd be mad if I paid 500 for a 3.3. reminds me of some kind of shaving product. I do want to give Creed credit for trying something other than the soft, sweet stuff or generic citrus, fresh style colognes that most of these companies are doing these days.
+Garry Carloni Oh, great! Thank you so much! As a matter of fact, I review the fragrance recently, and I mentioned you in the video. I haven't released the video yet. I will make sure to tell you about it when I do. I hope you had a wonderful week, and I look forward to seeing you again. Hopefully next week!
+Stanleydragonjr Hey, MJ! It always brings me great warmth to see you on my channel! I look forward to seeing you again in person soon! Enjoy the rest of your week!
Interesting how scent perception is such a Rohrsach test. I don't get salty or borderline metallic at all. I get very mentholated mint and sweet spices. Very easygoing, not too serious, everyday wear type of scent, like a niche ode to a Bay Rum without the rum. The mentholated smell also evokes Tiger Balm. But Viking is closer to a Bay Rum or British Sterling than it is to classic Old Spice in overall vibe.
You know I love this description. I didn’t like it at first, but I finally got a small decant and it’s actually pretty good. It takes a couple of wearings, but once it settles it creates a spa vibe. Like you’ve just left a shower and it’s soothing. I like it. The dry down had the women in my office smelling me in the elevator. My supervisor even said, “Brian I thought went on lunch break, did you leave the spa?!” LOL
Hey Steven its me again LOL :D ... Im traveling to Paris soon and the creed prices over there are just great compared to the US (SMW/ GIT= 165$ 100ml , VIKING = 227$ 100ml). I need your advice. I already have Aventus and Millesime Imperial I love both .. and I want to buy 2 of 3 of the following fragrances: GIT, SMW, Viking. I am a compliment seeker and I've smelled the 3 of them and I like them all. (the SMW only lasted me literally 30 seconds on my skin maybe because I was sweaty by the time I applied it ). if you have to choose 2 of those 3 for compliments, smell and sillage which one would you grab ? PS: when I use Aventus I feel powerful and sexy hehe I want something like that :P
I would say Green Irish Tweed and Creed Viking! The first one will do well with compliments and smell. Viking also has pretty good sillage. Thanks for watching!
I just watched a review where this got a lot of hate as did the house haha. I'm happy to hear your review. I am left curious. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Question: I'm ready to do a big perfume purchase ($500+) on FragranceNet.com. The main reason is because the website has heavily marked down fragrances. My main worry is that it's too good to be true and they are really just fakes. What experiences have you had with FragranceNet? Would you recommend it a trustworthy website?
Nick Ramirez theyre not fake...youll be good...just dont order Amouage Reflection Man from them...because they will send you the reformulated, magnetic cap version, which completely sucks
Applied for a sample the day this video was posted. Just received it today and the sample bottle was crushed. No juice at all, it leaked all over the packaging. :(
Awesome first impression. One day I will add a couple of Creeds to my small collection of fragrances.. I like the concept of the House. Reminds me of my favorite show Game of Thrones..
it is absolutely incredible how fast those samples went on that link. I live in Canada, so unfortunately I am not able to get a free sample. however, we have a store in Canada called Holt Renfrew, and I know a sales associate very well, who said she will be sending me a sample when they get some! Awesome video, I'm really excited for this very long overdue Creed release! #ignitethefire
Redolessence hey man, I just got my sample of Creed Viking! it's very earthy and fiery. I do get the similarities to a say "Old Spice" feel, but it's a risk for Creed. One I feel it paid off. I have a 50ml bottle on pre-order and cannot wait to own this! I love the spicy woodsy feel Viking has. I haven't given this a full wear, but I can tell you (as you know) test paper is different than applying to the skin. overall I am happy with this release and hope that the next one will be just as great!
Hey Steven so I have a couple chepies that I'd like you to compare in my opinion the smell the same one is suede by bath and body works the other is just me by Paris Hilton yes Paris Hilton lol the only difference between them I feel is just me smells more alcohol in the initial spray but other than that there the same I'd love to here your opinion or even see a video thank you Steven
But the hard truth is that with a longevity of 6 hours it's just not worth the price. I have a 10 ml demand coming my way and will see for myself. Thanks for the review.
Great review Steven. I have to agree with some viewers that the price for this is absurd especially if you might get only 5 hours of longevity. Better to get a sample and then assess from there whether it's wotth the price tag. I do like the fact that it's unique and has its own character as opposed to the other Creed fragrances.
Hi! If you can please review Tom Ford's Fucking Fabulous? It has Almond Oil note and I'm really curious about what's your take on this fragrance. Thank you.
Do you think this should be called Viking? To me this doesn't seem reminiscent of a viking at all except maybe the accord of the salty sea air. Nevertheless I would still very much like try it one day. Thanks for the review and everything you do for the fragrance community.
+Eric Dunthorne Hey, Eric! Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm reminded of how Sauvage doesn't really smell like Johnny Depp burying things in a desert. Perhaps the saltiness is the only thing that is reminiscent of the ocean like you said. Thank you for watching!
Vikings are not supposed to dig haircuts 😁. Great take, Steven! Do you get Original Santal vibe as what other reviews has mentioned? It would be a huge letdown if it really only lasts 5 hours. Very excited to try it and also equally curious as to how long before the clone houses come up with their versions and quite possibly an improved one at that.
Maybe it's because I'm from Skandinavia - but the name Viking on a reddish bottle is a total turn off. I hope the smell is great though. Thanks for the review.
Sounds like a wonderful addition to the Creed line and I look forward to trying it out. Thanks for your initial impression. I wonder what they use to make that salty marine note.
I've gotten 8 hours from the sample but this one fatigues the nose like aventus. Many creeds have that effect on me. Amazing scent ! Not an aventus killer it's not mean to be ! It's an entire different creation.
The only Creed fragrance I smelled that I like is Eventus. In my opinion, Tom Ford is far and away the better house. Oud Wood: now THERE'S a winner. But like all fragrances, this is purely subjective. Enjoyed the video, as always.
Redolessence Steven, have you ever heard of a company in Portugal called Musgo Real? They make a variety of shaving products, but they also make some pretty good men's fragrances. I love their oak moss cologne but I was wondering if you could try any of their men's fragrances and let me know what you think. These are not on par with Amouage, Tom Ford, or Creed, but for 40-70 dollars for a 100ml bottle, I love them all. Thanks again for a job well done.
+BBRY OSMART Hahaha. I'll agree with you that that's a lot of money. I'm not sure if I should split it or just wait a few more months. Thank you so much for stopping by. It means a lot to me! Have a fantastic weekend.
Not comparing it to other Creed, but sounds like some of what Comme de garcon does with their fragrances at times. Mysterious notes, but good interesting juice. Anyway, way too expensive for 5 hours...imo. Well, cool as always guv.
+Sheldon Moten Hey, Sheldon! I agree with you that the notes are definitely on the mysterious side. This is a fragrance that people will have to try for themselves. Thank you very much for watching!
500 dollars.. yeah... ill wait for the splits and stuff.. But honestly some houses make creed look cheap.. I just looked at a brand i won't name, independent house and they wanted 120 dollars for 15 fukin ml... great review though i am curious about it..
+Frederick Seymour Due to the performance and the composition, I would say hotter weather is ideal, but it can be worn all year round in a climate-controlled environment. Thank you for watching!
Please Stiven next time you do a first impression video do not test the fragrance before the real first impression is when you spray the frageance for the first time right when you filming it. So we can get and see ur first reaction that what first impression is all about. After that you can make another video or full review on that fragrance
The price of the regular 120ml Creeds is probably the top whack I would ever pay for a fragrance.. Hence why I've never entertained the Royal Exclusives range, and never had any desire to! It's a shame that this fragrance is going to fall into the same bracket, as for all intents and purposes it looks like a regular Creed. Hope this isn't a sign of the future for their new releases!
+Micholas Nitchell I think companies are picking up on the fact that if someone wants a luxury product, they have to pay luxury prices. At the end of the day, the fragrance still smells great, but it's hard to grapple with the fact that such a fragrance once used to cost in the $200 range. Many brands are catching on though. Thank you very much for stopping by. Always a pleasure to read one of your comments. I hope you're having a wonderful week!
+Albert Fuentes Dressed up mostly because of the price tag, and warm weather because of the salty, fruity, light qualities of the composition. Thank you for watching.
+AGentlemansJourney Aww, don't say that bud. We love you here in the community. I'll be happy to give you my sample. Thank you so much for stopping by. I look forward to seeing you very soon! You need to do a video for my channel!
Thanks but its all good. I'll be able to get one as the boutique is on my to-do list in a few months :) I'd love to do a video for your channel. How's a cheapie? Tommy Bahama Very Cool?
Chad my friend its only US, some good people overseas asked me to do them a favor because even in France or England or any other country but US won't get samples. Manny and some great reviewers like you didn't get it either. You will have the luck to fly to NY boutique and hold the bottle like some others around the World won't. All the best my friend.
I love the way this guy reviews. He really paints an informative picture whilst also keeping things digestible and concise.
Give this a year and people will be singing Vikings praises. Great review as always.
So that's where our money goes!
Beautiful packaging with samples for the reviewers.
Not for quality control that avoids crappy batches.
This is how hypes are created ...
Nothing against you, though.
Keep up the good work.
+José Rodrigues I completely understand, José. Thank you for watching.

Wow! I just received my free sample, I love it. Thanks for the link Steve. It did take 3 months to get the sample, but it was well worth the wait!!!

Just subbed. I went to the website this morning and my sample is on the way. Can't wait to smell this juice. Thanks bud.
+Bryan Sibbach Thank you for joining the family! I'm excited for you to receive your sample!
I love viking , it's a great fragrance , dunno why the hate of the community , maybe the price tag?
I think it's totally the price tag and the fact that it doesn't live up to Aventus's standards.

A great and enjoyable video again well done steve😉

Redolessence which fragrance was it?
+Garry Carloni Pineapple Vintage Beyond Noir. I was talking about how it reminded me of the aventus you were wearing with the extra Birch in it.
I can't wait to try this
Great review
Love and have many of their fragrances.
Thank you for your first impression
Take care

Steven, can i wear a cooler weather fragrance in air conditioned environments during the summer??
Love the background. Organize. That’s what I need. By the way. Creed Viking love it. Bought my recently. Agreed 100% to your presentation.
It's been a while. Always looking for you. Don't ever recall such a long hiatus from you. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Hi I just want to ask your opinion if which would be a better choice between erolfa and neroli sauvage?
Both are great, but I would go with Erolfa!
Great review like always!

I've been waiting for this release for so long! So excited its finally out, was thinking it was just a hoax for a little while there.

Great 1st impression, this sounds very intriguing

+Darin Glisson Smart move! Definitely sample it first, and then you will have a more informed opinion. Thank you for watching!
The link for a free sample doesn't say anything about receiving a free sample.
Amazing review Steve
+Musab Elghezawi Thank you very much, my friend!
Looking forward to trying it at my local shop aswell!
+Xozzen Definitely!

it is absolutely incredible how fast those samples went on that link.
+Alex Gumbrell I'm excited for you to get your sample, Alex! I look forward to hearing your take!
I get so many compliments about Aventus but I love Erolfa sooooo much. My first smell of Viking comes Friday.
Hi Steven, Really like your videos, I wonder if you can make a "best perfumes by lattafa" video, most have good performance & price.
Sounds intriguing. Thanks for sharing.
+Kologne My pleasure! Thank you for watching!
Smells a lot like Amouage Bracken Man, but Bracken is fresher (& better IMO)
Thanks for sharing! I can see that comparison!
Great review Steven. I have to agree with some viewers that the price for this is absurd especially if you might get only 5 hours of longevity. Better to get a sample and then assess from there whether it's wotth the price tag. I do like the fact that it's unique and has its own character as opposed to the other Creed fragrances.
+Frank G Well said, Frank!
Thanks Steven.
Don’t understand why this is $495 in the us. Here in the uk for 100ml its £255 which is around $342
I know, right!? Probably tariffs and other taxes. lol
Hi! If you can please review Tom Ford's Fucking Fabulous? It has Almond Oil note and I'm really curious about what's your take on this fragrance. Thank you.
Mark Christopher Alviz He would never review it because of the name, he probably never sweared in his life
Do you think this should be called Viking?
+pandora p I know what you mean! I can see thr Original Santal comparison, but OS is much sweeter to my nose. Thank you for watching!
Steven, been missing your expertise on fragrance! Hope all is well with you and your family!
Maybe it's because I'm from Skandinavia - but the name Viking on a reddish bottle is a total turn off. I hope the smell is great though. Thanks for the review.
Very nice review bro 😉
+Jovi Romero Thank you very much!
Sounds like a wonderful addition to the Creed line and I look forward to trying it out. Thanks for your initial impression. I wonder what they use to make that salty marine note.
+Tom Schroeder Thanks, Tom! I wonder that, too. Ambroxan comes to mind, but it's not too salty!
I'm trying to like this one. It's not easy. Maybe if it had a little sweetness and warm spices.
W0W, what a great video!
Another fragrance you should review is Allure homme sport eau extreme
I've gotten 8 hours from the sample but this one fatigues the nose like aventus. Many creeds have that effect on me. Amazing scent ! Not an aventus killer it's not mean to be ! It's an entire different creation.
+Nicky T Thank you for the feedback, Nicky!
Have you tried Histoire D'Orangers by L'Artisan Parfumeur? Off topic question, but I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on it?
The Grindcore Guru all you scent reviewers talk to much
Khalil Handy Which is funny, because I'm not one. Fuck off.
BLEU de CHANEL or CHANEL HOMME SPORT?
Steven when is your top fall fragrances list coming out?
+Abdul Thomas Thank you for reminding me! I will try to shoot it in the coming weeks!
The link for experience viking did not work for me. This sounds very interesting.
Finally worked, but "due to overwhelming demand, samples are no longer available". Sad but I'm not near any boutique so ill have to wait.
+richard rohloff I hope samples become available again. Thank you for watching!
Great review and great haircut!
+Brooklyn Fragrance Lover Thank you, Carlos! I appreciate you noticing!
Hey! I love your vids. I want to buy a cologne for someone special....what's a complimented cologne your girl would buy for someone? 😉
The only Creed fragrance I smelled that I like is Eventus. In my opinion, Tom Ford is far and away the better house. Oud Wood: now THERE'S a winner. But like all fragrances, this is purely subjective. Enjoyed the video, as always.
Thank you, Stephen!
Stephen Pruszenski I have never tried anything from that brand, but I look forward to trying some!
Yeah!.. aventus
What does Jen think about Viking?
+Bigwave2003 She likes it!
500$ what? Hell no! I'm gonna get a 10ml decant and wait for DUA's inspiration. .
+BBRY OSMART Hahaha. I'll agree with you that that's a lot of money. I'm not sure if I should split it or just wait a few more months. Thank you so much for stopping by. It means a lot to me! Have a fantastic weekend.
Care to share where can we get 10ml decants of this and other expensive fragrances online? Lol.
only $500, what a steal, I'll get it soon :o)
serendra90210 Reddit fragsplits
Haha I'm a Dua fan too
Not comparing it to other Creed, but sounds like some of what Comme de garcon does with their fragrances at times.
This is probably just me, but I felt like to me that it smells like silver mountain water with a touch of aventus. On my skin it lasted 8 hours
That's a pretty good description. Thank you for sharing!
500 dollars.. yeah... ill wait for the splits and stuff.. But honestly some houses make creed look cheap.. I just looked at a brand i won't name, independent house and they wanted 120 dollars for 15 fukin ml... great review though i am curious about it..
+Guinea54 Wow. I agree with you wholeheartedly. That's a lot of money! Thank you for watching!
Huge fan of creed, I would have loved to get a sample of this...
Great review. I hope I get a sample to try it. See if my wife likes it.
great review
We haven't heard from you in a while...... we all hope you are ok....
I must be very few that don't like anything from the creed house based on price point vs quality/quantity
Great review I like how you really get in to detail 👌👏👍
My Alltime favorite fragrance reviewer, I love the way you describe the fragrance, much respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰💎💥🤳
Thank you so much!!!!
What season is best?
+Frederick Seymour Due to the performance and the composition, I would say hotter weather is ideal, but it can be worn all year round in a climate-controlled environment. Thank you for watching!
Tested Viking for a few months. Now it’s my signature.
I'm glad you like it!
The Question is Can The Viking beat The King Aventus Bro? Thanks Bro!
Please Stiven next time you do a first impression video do not test the fragrance before the real first impression is when you spray the frageance for the first time right when you filming it. So we can get and see ur first reaction that what first impression is all about. After that you can make another video or full review on that fragrance
namo730 relax and let the man live.. what a baby
Do you intend to do anything that you promised when you hit a certain number of suscribers?
cheers.
Silver Mountain Water smells like a stack of newly printed U.S. currency . I smell a mixture of the ink and linen used to make money.
+Musty Crotch I love that description! When I visualize it, I can see exactly what you mean!
Silver Mountain water smells like preschool paste, or a doctor's office to me so far, im trying to let it grow on me
keep it up with the hair style man. I love the classy clean cut look. No homo!
+Danillon Pujadas Thank you very much! Will do!
Hey maaan where are you it's been a long time since your last video ??
What occasion/season?
+Albert Fuentes Dressed up mostly because of the price tag, and warm weather because of the salty, fruity, light qualities of the composition. Thank you for watching.
Redolessence thanks. Just got my sample in the mail. :) according to the accompanying letter, it was created by Olivier Creed
I'm not a big enough guy to get a free sample to review :( Its all good, I'll be smelling this in a few months when I come down.
AGentlemansJourney not true Chad!! I could be wrong but I heard that they were not shipping samples to Canada for some reason.
Its because America doesn't like CanaDUH.
Do you have a recommendation for an autumn/winter fragrance for school. I am 16 and we wear proper suits
Guessing this hiatus means you have an additional member to your family!? ( I could be very wrong.. ) if so congrats man.
