Hi Dipayan, got a 390 duke 1 month back ... good to see very informative videos on your channel.. btw... where is your workshop in Kolkata? Would like to visit sometime.. i am from behala area...
@@debdeepdutta2148 I have a detailing centre. Basically washing and polishing of car and bike. At Behala Joka Industrial Palza. Beside hero workshop. Definitely do visit. Congrats for your new bike. Ride safe.
I choosed Honda CB 300 R over duke because I am 6ft 1 ,, even though cb is a small bike it fitted me so well whereas in Duke 390 Gen 3 my legs felt too cramped I don't know why but I absolutely love the gen 3 duke, I also wanted a lot less hassle and easy to maintain motorcycle, 300r has no electronic aids otherthan IMU assisted ABS also it handles like a dream in traffic + ample power yes I do miss out on the ballastic top end performance of the 390 but I am pretty much satisfied, by the way so happy to see you Dipayan bro our riding style and concepts are a lot similar . I also owned a CB 350 RS ❤️
Bro i like your videos because you ride in the night and we can see colourful tft and the exhaust sound😍 please do more videos like this in night rides💙
Hi Dipayan great video! I would really appreciate some advice from you since you own both duke and cb350. I'm in the market for my first bike. I have previously ridden a tvs wego for 7 years and recently also rtr 160 4v. What would be a better overall purchase ....the cb350 h'ness or the duke 390 ? I test rode the cb350 and absolutely loved the low end torque and long gearing since i have been majorly a car driver. It was very effortless to ride.... I did not like that i have to quickly change gears in bikes like rtr 160. I test rode duke 250 but wasn't impressed that much due to it hitting rev limit much early where as in cb350 it just pulled longer in a gear. But recently after riding friends 2020 390 adv i was impressed as much as i had been on the cb350....was smiling the entire ride! Was thoroughly impressed by its power. So in that sense would you recommend me a duke 390?
From what I understand I would suggest… 1. If you have occasional tour with bike in your mind…go for the ADV 390. Could be done with CB as well, but only if you are ok with the moderate power it has in the highway. duke can also do it, but less luggage capacity breaks the deal. 2. If you wish to ride it mostly in city, duke is for someone who wants lots of power at tap. Not that it cannot be ridden slow ( I ride it slow almost all the time) but bike will be less utilised. CB excels in the city provided you don’t need power like duke. Adv could also be ridden in city, again will not be that much likeable as it lacks low end power unlike duke. To sum it all up, the ktm is basically for people who wants rush of power when needed, of-course at the cost of low fuel economy. I am getting between 18 to 25 kmpl. And CB is always going to impress you with refinement, comfort and good fuel economy ( I am getting around 32 kmpl in city) The duke is extremely powerful, since you have been riding a smaller displacement vehicle till now, I would advice go for the CB 350 ( any variant of your choice). You will definitely love it. Thanks.
@@DipayanBose Thanks Dipayan for such an elaborate reply. I will consider all these points and make decision. One niggle for me personally with Cb350 is the exhaust note....i personally do not prefer such a thumpy note...I like a more silent rumble. Do you think the exhaust note interferes with the riding experience? Is there any way to change the exhaust with an after market option? Other than that CB350 totally amazed me! Will test ride the duke 390 next.
