Well, yeah, the billionaires have accountants, legal teams, loopholes and influence. Maybe if the IRS wasn't constantly being defunded they would have the resources to go after the rich.
There needs to be a way to see where our tax dollars go. Money gets takin from us like crasy but we have no idea what its supporting!!!!! There needs to be a way! We have serial numbers on the dollar bill and we have crypto! which is probably the best bet of tracking. We demand to know where our tax dollars are going if your taking from us! Just like you demand where our money is coming from 🖕the irs 🖕
It’s true, audits are the worst. Endless questions and document requests for things that few people keep track of. And you have to deliver the docs on time.

It's not the fact that its a lot of money, it's the fact that it's not being reported. So people will have their regular 40 hour jobs and on the side start selling stuff on Amazon, open a RUclips channel, start an OnlyFans, drive for Uber, etc. and they just never report it to the IRS. The IRS gets the info from the employer (so and so made 6k working for us), and that's when audits start.

I am probably one of the few people that wants to pay taxes. The more I have to pay in taxes, just means that I made more in $$$USD$$$. Sure, it sucks to cut a check for $180,000.00 USD to the FED and then another $40,000.00 USD to the State. BUT - I kept $580,000.00 USD in my pocket after it was over :-P
PAY YOUR TAXES !! or you can file paperwork with the State Department to END you citizenship.
OR, you can pay a hefty fine and go to prison - which is fine by me - I like to watch people being punished :-D

It’s not ok to deploy and and sacrifice families and compartmentalism of ugly behavior. The unrealized anger just grows. I know I’m not perfect, I was abused as a kid, much unintentional. But, trauma tends to translate in time and people. I backed into Adderall which I didn’t need… and looked up adult content online years ago, nothing illegal, but I’m still embarrassed about it… there’s no human who’s perfect I’m this world… but of course… there are limits to if a felon should run for office or whatever.

The majority of audits are on sole proprietors, (small businesses) independent contractors, making less than $200k a year.
They go after the low hanging fruit. Multi Millionaires can afford teams of accountants and lawyers to fight a audit.
"Joe the house painter", "Jose the landscaper", "Bob the dry wall guy", and "Cindy side Hustle" can't afford a team of accountants, and tax attorneys.

@Fjb Atyoutube1 -- I think I do. I've been "called in" to the IRS office on two occasions. The first time it was because I didn't know things. The 2nd time was simply because we were late because the complexity of our return but there was no penalty. The essence of any audit is to closely examine the details of some random transactions. This is a PITA for the target but it takes a lot of time for the auditor to identify what he wants and then to evaluate the information required.
