    Could you elaborate on viewing the cameras from a computer? All you did was go to the website and login of which there is NO way to actually view the cameras unless I am just COMPLETELY missing something. I have logged in multiple times trying to find where to view on my laptop or desktop and have not found anything.

    Vivint connects with a cellular chip so it doesn't have to connect to broadband, or a landline in case your power/wifi goes out. Most companies are starting to use this as the industry standard.

    As a previous Vivint customer. Lack of transparency on upfront system costs, should have been a red flag dealing with this company. The system seriously lags on camera alerts and nearly impossible to cancel monitoring, even though there wasn’t a contract on a fully purchased system.

    is there a way to set the screen hub to show the set weather instead of the time or if a door is open?

    Need a step by step operation instructions especially for seniors and ADA challenged individuals that they may be able to navigate thoroughly through the process.

    Vivint panel kept malfunctioning. Switched today to ADT.

      I paid for the Vivant hardware up front. Does ADT support Vivant monitoring?

    I've been using this home security system. My 7 months experience is horrible. The system is pretty good. But the customer service is very bad. I have had an issue with DVR sytem which is 24 hours recording and rewinding. My playback button just disappeared from my app.
    No one can fix it. Whenever I called customer service, I had to explain whole situation and they kept transferring me to the other departments. I had to explain same story to all othet departments. They said it will be fixed in 48 hours. It's been 1 month, but it still doesn't work. Nobody followed the issue.
    I had to call them 2~3 times everyweek and spent 2hours each phone call. This is very terrible experience.

    How to dismount the smart hub from one wall to put on another wall. RC

      Hi Raymond! If your smart hub is built into the wall, you might need a professional Vivint installer to move it for you. I'd call Vivint customer service and ask about that. If you try moving it yourself and something goes wrong, you could be charged for damages to your system or Vivint won't be liable for replacing anything. Best to give them a call first.

    As an Vivint owner for one year now, HERE IS THE REAL REVIEW. First, everything she says about the system is true, BUT here are the SERIOUS disadvantages and WHY I AM MOVING WITHOUT MY VIVINT SYSTEM that I paid in full for. Second, the HD and 4K cameras are VERY mediocre quality, they are B&W at night, not color, unless your yard is spot flooded with 5500k lighting. The cameras use IR technology which causes license plates to glow so forget about for any reason. Third, the motion detection is so easy to defeat, all you have to do is walk fast or run and THEY WON'T DETECT ANYTHING. Fourth, at 1:30 of this video the camera shown is HORRIBLE. It has an extremely poor frame rate and even with STUDIO lighting the color is poor. I believe it uses pixel shifting to create an upscale 1080 rez from a 480 chip. It is located with line sight less that 20 feet from the Hub. The pic that Vivint shows regarding this cam on their ad is pure false advertising. Fifth, the DOORBELL IS slow and often does not work fast enough. It is actually the best camera but it is TOO SLOW to react. I bought this system following sponsored reviews like this one. I live with 400 feet of a major cell tower, yet it says my WI-FI connection is weak. Finally, I called Vivint to complain and their customer service said everything is working fine. I think they STINK!

    One of the worst decicions I ever made was dealing with Vivant, during the peak of covid a represenative came to my home and got my entire family sick I nearly died and I fell behind on about a mouth and ahalf on all my bill. The service and equipmewnt is subpar and not even worth the money. Just go out and by a system that you can control.

    How about the big question, does it have BBB acceptance?
    The answer is a HUGE no... I don't know why some many people push for a company that as a D rating with the BBB. I was on the Vivent train after watching a lot of videos like these. Then I started to read about all the issues people have with the very unfriendly contracts. No way I'd trust to do business with this company.

    Vivint doesn't do a contract your financing the equipment which that means you will own it adt sucks and vivint is the best SECURITY SYSTEM!

    DO NOT BUY VIVANT! THEIR SUPPORT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEY WON'T LET YOU TALK TO A SUPERVISOR!
