Totally brilliant in every way, thank you very much for all the hard but very rewarding work! Tell me please, if drivers know their 'routes', does that mean a gang of them are being picked-up/dropped off on these long routes?

Thanks, I think there are drivers from LSL who drive the tour, picking up other drivers (typically freight drivers) who have local route knowledge, and offer there expertise at various points in the tour. I recall last year, the LSL private tour had a local cross-country driver offering his assistance.
