Can someone explain the 'Box' midway along the exhaust pipe? I also have a photo of a 50s era factory BSA single which has a similar box midway along the exhaust pipe. Is it merely for silencing or is it a tuning feature? Thanks.
I'm pretty sure that's a resonation chamber (although it might be called an expansion chamber, or perhaps even something else). And if it is what I'm thinking, then its purpose is to create a draw (aka: scavenging effect) to help evacuate exhaust within a certain RPM range which they've deemed to be beneficial. It might help it on its top end, but I suspect it's more to increase or broaden the midrange. I'm just speculating from a decently large, but mixed bag of knowledge. 😉
@@johnthompson9896 you're British. At least we know why you defend triumph for copying other brands. Thank godness Ducati is unique and going their own path.
This bike is looking sick. I'm team honda crf450r all day but I really like this new ducati motocross bike. When they come to the USA I will definitely check one out and maybe buy one if it's not to crazy Highly priced like Ktms....if so then I'll stick with Honda or Yamaha
😂hay ,Ducati road race bike is a half a million dollar race bike !! So maybe the MX bikes with Desmo valves will be price point of a CRF 450 WE ! But where r the dealership @ ?? Very hard 2 find one in my State !! But nice work !!
What I don't quite understand: with what intention is ducati participating in the WC? Because I constantly hear excuses like standard equipment, but after all, you only enter this kind of competition when you have your project roughly in place, right? Now it sounds like they are developing the bike more for semi-amateur customer teams
Looks really good but why plain old *pinch/bind the sliders in the upper fork tubes* triple clamps? Get some X-Trig ROCS triple clamps on there and have the Best Suspension 😀
Yeah its cool an all but just another brand that price thier bikes at the almost un reachable scale when you have companies like Yamaha and honda which are the winning bikes
I'm sure the MX bikes is a bit of a development mule/loss leader for the road legal enduro version they'll sell by the truckload for a grand over KTM prices to chubby guys who never get them passed third gear 🤣
Very nice rig. Good luck Tony. You’re the man !!!
S-I-C-K-!!!!!!!!!!! Ducati ❤
Bravi! Keep shooting for the stars!
Very well done Tony. That bike is pure artwork. Also best dressed rider..
Can't wait for it to hit production and see it in the US
That akrapovic exhaust is sick
So sick
Fantastic 👍🏼
Let’s go!
Way way epic!!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏🏆🏁💥💥💫💫✨✨👍🏼👍🏼💯
cool 👍

Can’t wait for the supermoto version
🐎
Calling it now, they offer a "corse/S/RS/RVE" version with Ohlins suspension
Stunning
Ducati unique as always. Not like triumph taking shortcuts. Wish them success 🎉❤
What shortcuts? Triumph will outsell these bikes 5 to 1 simply because of the service costs. Triumph are smart.
@@johnthompson9896 it's most KTM copy. And I'm not going to proof it If you can't see. Even motocross action magazine said that during test.

Of course it's over priced its got ducati written on it
@therealbanksea I know right. Hope not will see. If so I'll stay with Honda

Emerald Mission
The front fender looks like a bench for electronics. It should hold a big pile of mud on it. Hopefully it doesn't snap.
Awesome the Slow Rider wants to buy three new cats for the dessert. Call it the Desert Cat 409 MX.
Tim Gajser 5 million per year and he will come!
he allready gets 5 mil or even more at Honda
The economy is sinking fast. Time will tell with these huge salaries.

Need to change the gas tank
The 80's-style/offroad-looking tank is an interesting choice... That would feel weird to get used to.
I think it’s just for GP and long motos, the oem won’t be that big
@jbo1588 , yeah, I heard that. It's still way larger looking than all other OEM's.
@@jbo1588correct, easy tank swap.

How do you even know this? MSRP information hasn’t been made available
Yea tuff to complete with the Japanese bikes for sure
Don’t forget Kawasaki if you’re talking winning bikes. Only a little more money than a Suzuki where I live.
Motos japonesas, em breve serão motos chinês... especialmente quando a Ducati arrebatar o MMX também.
They did him dirty showing us those gums 😭
I think you need Eli tomac. He will be retired after next season .. he would be the best test rider from the USA. Just a thought...
The real question is……. How are they gonna get a capacity advantage here ? The factory in Bologna will be working over time to figure that 1 out 😂😂
Já levou o título da moto de cross mais bonita... humilhação á vista para KTM e o resto. Leia-s: honda, yamaha, suzuki & kawasaki.
Competition improves all bikes. That's why I don't like KTM buying husky, gasgas, etc. Now if Ducati would build a 450-500 adv bike, 5 gal tank.
Heidenreich Mews
Hes talking like he's not so sure of the bike compared to the previous bike he had.
How much is this bike gonna cost with a billet cut frame!! ...surely this won't be the bike sold to the public ?
it is not billet cut. it is forged
that bgm is annoying af........ typical edit these days 🙄 Bike is sick, will be interesting to see how the production bike stacks up against the rest
you barely showed actually anything, just some B-roll of the front number plate constantly...
All that money you made Tony, surely you could spend some of it on your teeth so we don't grimace every time you smile!
