She tell us about more her opposition to big multinationals such as Monsanto for their nefarious influence on agriculture. But Shiva also singles out billionaires like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg for criticism. I dont think he was ridiculing her. Not every person in the world believes this sort of stuff. He is reflecting the views of the TV channels viewers. Otherwise the channel would look like an Alex Jones channel if he just agreed with everything she said.

In this case, her argument is very clear, concise and compelling.. so, in the end, it is a successful and good interview.

It's called a proper interview. An interviewer isn't supposed to just sit there and nod his or head to everything the guest says. The person presenting their views should always have some sort of challenge presented to them! You should never assume that someone is asking a question from their own perspective instead of playing devil's advocate.

Not really. When people present facts, they regularly convince a good amount of others and are called right (because facts).
Meanwhile, most of the conspiracy theorists are wrong and can't bring strong evidence or connect dots with serious links (and don't even realize it because for them any absence of evidence is interpreted as evidence because, again, "conspiracy!").

If only we were taught history from the perspective that the elites only see the people as resources to exploit, more people would come to this conclusion. There are tons of examples, but in the late middle ages there was generally a trend towards better living conditions for common people. Food became plentiful. People worked less. The only problem was the elites weren't making enough money off them. So, they resorted to lots of wars and what amounted to legalized theft of land from peasants. Once they largely controlled the food supply, surprise surprise, food wasn't so plentiful. Or it was plentiful, but it was under lock and key waiting for people to buy it at a premium. People went from having a varied diet, heavier in meat than today even, to one where lots of people could only afford bread and tons of people starved to death. And there were tons of violent uprisings by the people that knew they were getting screwed by the wealthy and powerful.

I think there are similar aims for coined words like: 'fake news' 'misinformation', 'anti-vaxxers'. There are also new words that normalise what they want to push for like: 'the new normal' 'self-isolation' 'social distancing'. Words are powerful tools to restrict thinking parameters.

Biotechnology has helped improve the livelihood of millions of farmers, along with helping to reduce hunger for millions of people in Africa. Biotechnology has also helped to reduce the amount of pesticides used and the amount of land cultivated in Africa, as well as reducing CO2 emissions.
Shiva's anti-science and anti-biotechnology message hurts countries in Africa and around the world, the very places that this technology helps! I used to be a very big fan of Shiva and have even visited her farm in India, until I studied science and learned that she is wrong. Please, look into this further.

If you haven’t got your information from a legitimate source, it probably isn’t correct. If your sources can’t trace their information to the original source and don’t reference where they are getting their information, you can’t trust them. A lot of people are getting dodgy information from conspiracy youtubers and anti vaxxers and think that they are ‘digging deep’ and uncovering the truth. But the thing about information is that valid information is traceable. Even with any actually legitimate conspiracy theory, there is an original source or question that arises that the conspiracy theory attempts to answer. Not with the Gates stuff though. People just keep passing around the same false information. It’s more entertaining than reality I guess. People can’t pay attention to all the tragic crap going on in the world but they can watch sensational conspiracy videos and pretend to be informed and pretend to be outraged. Really, try to research it on Google or any search engine. You won’t be able to trace the information. There will be no documentation, no witnesses, no origin of the conspiracy theories.
