I can confirm everything you said. Smoothness all throughout the rev range and I also noticed much smoother quickshifter even at lower RPM!! I’m very happy with the tune, I also have the SC1-R exhaust and i have to say that the Gabro tune is the best pairing! She putts along at 1000-2000rpm 5th and 6th gear no problem, fueling is amazing, sounds like a Harley lmao
Because of your video/review, I purchased/installed a Graves exhaust/Gabro tune on my 2022 Tuono V4. Fantastic results. See my comments below. After watching another YT video on the Gabro Airbox Mod/Tune, I drank the Koolaide and ordered the Airbox. I will post my results when I receive/install it, probably next week. Thanks for the video/info.
@@FocusedGarage I installed the Gabro airbox, filter, front velocity stacks, and airbox ECU tune. It is definitely smoother and even more linear in low and mid power range power delivery than with the exhaust/decat/ECU tune only. I think top end is even better but the bike is so fast that I usually have my eyes closed at those speeds so it is hard to properly assess. Was the airbox upgrade worth it? For my purposes....Yes. It makes the bike even easier to ride and you can lug in much higher gears at lower RPM. The engine seems even smoother with regard to vibrations although it was always very smooth. Thanks Gabro.
Thank you for the feedback mate! I've t800+ already but still awaiting for akra pipe. So happy to hear that it is such a massive improvement! Cannot wait to tried it out!
+1 here. 2022 Aprilia Tuono V4 Non Factory. I installed Graves slip on and Gabro ECU tune. Much smoother, runs cooler, more linear/tractable throttle response, quickshifter seems smoother, sounds great/has the low speed growl, same mileage. What's not to like?
I installed the Gabro airbox/ECU tune upgrade on my 2022 Tuono V4 after already having the Gabro ECU tune with a Graves Exhaust upgrade. The airbox/tune definitely added smoothness/linear power delivery/more top end power to an already great running bike. I was concerned with the lack of fine filtration with the Sprint P08 filter element for a street bike. Gab recommended using the stock RSV4 element, PN 2B001592R, for better filtration with very slight restriction on air flow compared to the P08. It fits his airbox. I swapped the P08 out for the OEM RSV4 element. I cannot tell any difference in performance at all. Just FYI if you are concerned about longevity.
@@FocusedGarage A little bit tedious, especially inserting the new airbox into position while not folding the front rubber boots over. I took my time. Probably three hours. Like any job, I could probably do it in half that time now.
Could you do an in-depth how to video on the new TFT display and how to set up in particular wheelie control throttle control and the lean angle abs systems? There are many videos about the older bikes but none that I'm finding about the new one that we have. 21 V4 1100 non factory
Hello. You have good videos. I put on my tuono v4 factory 2021 AustinRacing GP1R exhaust. It says on their website that remap is not required. What do you think, if you put a gabro, which cmap is best suited? 😊
I hafta agree with his excitement and comments. I just stole a leftover 22 tuono factory and put the stacks, airbox,Gabro tune and that same SC PROJECT pipe. In stock fashion the bike is fun but definitely gets strangled by the euro 5 crap. This undoes all that and turns it into a screaming banshee. The throttle control is night and day different and the dreaded steady rpm surging is gone. I definitely think the reliability and longevity will be enhanced by richness of the tune. BTW I also went thru Joe at cbc. He has a package deal on all the stuff that saves a ton from doing it all individually. If you have any of the v4's in stock fashion then do yourself a favor and get the bike some kind of tune. Both you and the bike will be MUCH happier. It's like getting your hot girlfriend a boob job.🙄
Nice vid, thanks for your thoughts. I've got the same model (euro v) and I'm about to pull the trigger on an akrapovic slipon and wanted to check in with you 5 months later. Are you still happy with the tune? No errors or problems?
A dealer will have to prove that the tune you were running caused whatever failure you are trying to have covered. Magnusson Moss Act explains this in detail.
Just want to say thanks for the video and info on the Gabro setup. I really want to purchase this flash setup with an exhaust but i dont want to jeopardize my warranty but idk it might just be worth the risk lol
Thanks for the update. I have a question. I have the 2016 V4 1100 Factory with the stock exhaust. Due to noise restrictions on the track I want to keep the stock. Furthermore, the stock makes a great sound! I encounter a little bit the 'Italian character' on my V4, just like two cilinder bikes. That's why I want a more smooth throttle response. Is the UpMap the solution for this? Or is a custom tune a better way to smoothen out?
I want the Gabro tune but worried about my warranty, what are your thoughts? Is it that much better it's worth the risk? I'm not looking for more performance, but want the bike to run smoother and better as others claim too.
Hey mate, 2 things: I'm going to 44 Tooth rear sprocket on my '21 Base Model to save having to use first gear in the tight mountain roads in Australia we love to ride. 2nd I've found the throttle very stiff to grip as if the return spring tension is to much, its the same on my mates Factory. Have you noticed such?
With the tune, I feel second gear is perfect for most types of spirited riding. Gives you the torque without forcing the bike to be in the upper RPMs all the time. It is interesting to see how the 21+ Factory has a different sprocket setup from the "base" model. If you switch, let me know what you think!
@@FocusedGarage My mate has the 21 Factory, I've ridden as well. I like to seek out real tight roads (see my video's) So I've got both 44 & 43 rear tooth sprockets to try, gunna try the 44 tooth first.
@@DukeOfTwist do the 44t sprocket… I went for a 15t front first then 44t as well on my 19 rsv4 factory… perfect for my tight twisty roads as well as the faster open twisties, transformed the bike. It’s gone from 1-3rd all the time to 2nd -5th, means I can use the auto blipper /quick shifter more, and it’s much more comfortable and controllable coming down hill on real tight twisties and hairpins where first was too tall.
I have a 2021 as well, and I feel like the bike has reduced power in low gears, it won't even lift the front tire in first gear at wide open throttle. Do you think the gabro tune fixes this?
Yes they do offer the tune for no additional mods at all! The bike feels better at low speeds and no longer has a idle stumble when stopped for extended periods.
I just fitted a titanium Leo Vince Lv10 slip-on to my 2019 tuono v4… it’s insanely loud and came with no baffle, rattling inside my* head is an accurate description… do you think the Gabro tune would help with the exhaust decibels with no baffle?
I actually just installed the same exhaust yesterday and I agree, super loud! My upmap is supposed to be delivered tomorrow so I'll let you know if it helps or not. I'm not really counting on it though.
