I served among the Aymara people in Bolivia 1979-1981. This story touched my heart and caused me to reflect on my time there. His description of the people and the events brought to my mind very clearly similar situations I witnessed or in which I participated. Thank you.

I served as a missionary in Bolivia 1973-1975. At that time they were just beginning to build chapels. One mission for the whole country. I was a naive gringa from Salt Lake. Most of my companions were native to South America. It has been gratifying over the last fifty years to see the growth of the Church in Bolivia. The third temple was recently announced for Bolivia and there are many missions. Our mission group continues to have annual reunions. Viva Bolivia!
