Amazing talent. He never had huge commercial success, but his influence is still felt to this day. Many of the greatest songwriters of our time were inspired by Goodman...Prine, Denver, Guthrie, Kristofferson, and so many others. He left us way too soon.

I wonder if this is the live version from a WFMT Midnight Special New Year's Eve program that I heard in the 1970s? The people singing along were other Chicago folk singers who came to the studio to celebrate NYE.
