All of Evie's moves are non-lethal now, even her Assassinations. It's weird to see her slit someone's throat and just have them writhe around on the floor after, but I suppose they needed to distinguish her from Jack somehow. Maybe she decided to stop killing random guards and policemen during her stay in India? She still kills people with her gun and for her main assassinations, so clearly she didn't learn to fully abstain from murder, but there ya go.

Yes, the DLC takes place in 1888 with the twins returning to London. You can also see how much they've aged, esp Evie. I was also bothered by the timeline until I played it.

Like, in Assassin's creed you play through the genetic memories of your ancestors, and so unless they just completely stopped giving a shit, then if you play as jack for a bit, it should imply that he is in some way related to them. Also it makes a point of making it really obvious that they have the same skill sets as the assassins, and after it shows Jacob being taken down by the Jack, he just disappears, kinda like if he had multiple personality disorder and that's how he remembered it, but it was really just one personality taking over the other. Also Jack can be a shortened form of Jacob, so there's that. That's just based on watching this video about 5 times though, so I could be way off base^_^
In my opinion, assassin's creed syndicate is one of the best games i have ever played. It's stunning visuals, engaging story line, fluid and exciting combat, likable characters and and and... who am i kidding, the game was mediocre at best. I'm just a lonely and desperate man who just wants more of Ezio, guess I'll go play ACII again for the fifteenth time. sigh
All the joking aside, the difference between the assassins and Jack the Ripper is the assassins don't kill innocent or defenseless people. They kill their enemies who would kill them given the chance.

My issue is that they are trying to make Jack the Ripper seem like this badass, crafty evil villain when in reality he killed helpless women in disgusting ways. I know videogames aren't meant to be realistic and that there are plenty of antagonists worse than this but it just doesn't feel like AC anymore. It's like a shitty detective horror movie.

I just finished this DLC (yes, it's 2023). It looks like it was a different game entirely which was ported to the game engine and given Assassin flavour text. It never made sense to me.

My theory is Jacob may be on the old opium Which explains why the ripper beat him like a rebellious step child

and jacob seems to ve significantly less bad ass than he was at the end of the game plus he's gotta be about 50 so a 50 year old slightly drugged up jacob would be a bit of a push over

I think it would be better if 1) his face was just a animus glitch 2) he didn't have ridiculous attacks like "scream" 3) if it was more historically accurate e.g. he didn't kill cops, he killed prostitutes in alleyways 4)he had normal attacks, like Jacob did.

I just finished this DLC (yes, it's 2023). It looks like it was a different game entirely which was ported to the game engine and given Assassin flavour text. It never made sense to me.
