    Ricochet so sorry about your knee. I felt something was up. Hope you can struggle through it don't do permanent damage to your body. The trail will always be there. And you've already done more than most have.
    4:45 day 11 wow this is why I come to your site. Your photos and videos are just so fantastic.

    You are spot on to take care of your knee. If I learned one thing on my thruhike it was take care of an injury. Do not trudge on when pain says stop. Knee braces, ice and physical therapy are typical ways to address knee problems. There are a lot of PT tutorials on RUclips that could be of significant help. Good luck.

    So glad your friend was there at an especially good time for some much needed support. Sorry to hear about the knee acting up. Here are some thoughts, not advice, who am I to say, just my experience with a bum knee, which has been helped by ice and a cortisone injection. Regardless, take care, glad it’s not so cold now! We’re all pulling for you.

    Sounds like you really need to take it easy and heal. That ice is dangerous. I was having bad chest pain. Last week, the VA did an angioplasty and put in a stint. My heart feels much better but, the proceedure did a JOB on my right arm. Taking the time to heal is the best solution. Unfortunately, this is the toughest and coldest AT start that I've seen in 7 years. Be carefull. Nice video. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

    Dang you seem young to be having knee problems. Hope it’s something minor that works it’s way out. But I agree with other comments, don’t push so hard you do more damage. On a different note, loving your videos! They’re great as always.
    Big shout out to Wander Lost! Good friends are truly rare and very hard to find. If you have pictures of you and Wander Lost and if he’s okay with it, think about posting one so if we see him on the trail we can thank him.

    Sorry about your knee, hope it gets better. Maybe when you aren't walking on snow/ice your steps will be more normal and the pain will subside. I was worried about you when you did not post for a few days and was happy to find out you got off trail and had some visits and scrumpy meals. Last thing I do before putting my head on the pillow at night is check in with friends and people I’m following on hikes. Best of luck to you!

    What knee brace did you buy? The cho-pat dual action or some such is highly recommended among hikers. It would be worth waiting for a day or so to get a good one sent by Amazon if the outfitters don't have one. Good luck.

    Knee pain, I know it well. As a runner I find I get knee pain if I try to over step my stride. Try to slow down and shorten your stride. You have all of this adrenaline right now and might be out pacing yourself. Just an idea. Keep on trucking brother!

    If knee hurts get off of it. Hang Loose pushed about 200-300 Miles on his hurting knee.....eventually took him off trail to surgeon.

  • @semsem8290
    @semsem8290 День назад

    You're young. However young thru hikers last year pushed too fast too soon and their bodies had problems. Don't play with a knee injury. Knees are complex and hard to heal. Your back, your knees ...must work.
    First few weeks or so 10 Mile's a day is recommended. Gradually build up. Even for young hikers in great shape. Take this one hike at a time.

  • @semsem8290
    @semsem8290 День назад

    PLUS, if you fall, get incapacitated via the knee, in that cold....those bridge crossings are dangerous.....it could be your demise. Get off trail for a bit. Some took a month off last year with tick fever plus injuries.
