Do you use ambient drum samples? If so which ones? If you would like to download my custom rock and metal drum samples (which include the ambient samples I use on 90% of my mixes), you can find them here: www.audioproductiontips.com/free-stuff
@@rockboy360 It should be a link in that email :) If you are still struggling to locate it, I will send it to you directly if you tell me the email you used on the form.
@@audioproductiontips I already found it on the promotions tab of my inbox, it didn't get on the main one, sorry. Thank you so much, it's all very useful.
Hi, If for example I want to make my own snare sample using Superior Drummer 3 Do I create a beat, then wav it over the overheads or room channel? And besides this wav I created, do I have to play some reverb? Thanks.
Yes, I find that they blend more seamlessly with the natural drums and don't compete for the same space. Basically, it adds the sustain without getting in the way as much.

Hi,
If for example I want to make my own snare sample using Superior Drummer 3
Do I create a beat, then wav it over the overheads or room channel?
And besides this wav I created, do I have to play some reverb?
Thanks.
So for your snare ambience you're using overhead samples rather than snare top? And gating the overhead samples and running to a reverb?
Yes, I find that they blend more seamlessly with the natural drums and don't compete for the same space.

And in this particular example, you're not running your ambient samples into a reverb?
@@charlie_sin_mag That's correct, but I do that fairly often too.
wouldn't a room sample work better?
