The song is so beautiful and perfect... iolanda is literally dealing and fighting on stage with her emotions... Very difficult not to connect emotionally and aesthetically. But the melodic line, wow. stunning.
You can play this and the studio cut in sync and you'd have issues figuring out which is which, that's how absolutely perfect her vocal is. Not one bum note.

Everyone likes Portuguese music, but then either they don't make it to the final, or they have a very low score in the final, with much weaker music in the competition. Maybe it would be interesting for people to start voting on musical taste and not because the country next door is a neighbor. If what matters is the music, then vote for the music.
I hear ‘Fado’ mixed with more contemporary music. Fado is Portugal’s music tradition. Eurovision should be an occasion for each country to bring their own culture into it, Portugal has been doing this for years in the competition. We are proud of our roots, our history and our culture. @iolandamusic created pure art with this performance! She translated so well Portugal and the theme of the song (mental health issues, resilience and strength) into this song, the dancers (her demons) poetically interpreting the powerful lyrics. I’m so impressed with everything!
