Rob Bottin is a genius, i personally think that as much as Rick Baker gets all the accolades it's Rob's work that is ten times more scary and creative. His work on The Thing is still in my humble opinion the best makeup special effects in any movie to date and it's a bloody travesty he didn't win an academy award for it.
This transformation is still my favourite one. Picardo did a very good job portraiyng Eddie

He's a prodigy like Michelangelo and Bernini. Incredible artist.
Agreed 100%
Jesus......21? Rob looks like a fully grown wolf man with hella stories already. He must have looked 18 as a new born.
Rob Bottin looks like a hot werewolf himself! He was only 21? Wow.
I got to meet Joe Dante and Dee Wallace. Two amazing, nice, talented people. 😃👌🏻👍🏻
One of my favorite Werewolf movies, thanks for posting Blu-ray Extras :)
Rob Bottin. The Bernini of Hollywood! ...But lets not forget. He stands on the shoulders of the giants that came before him.
At first glance I thought that was Kurt Russell/MacCready in the thumbnail but it's Rob Bottin the practical effects maestro.
