I have this Bible and it’s changed my Bible study time! I actually love the cream colored paper. My most favorite Bible of all I’ve bought and own. The paper is a little thicker (though still thin) than traditional nearly see through pages. Highly recommend this Bible for study and notes. It will make a great heirloom to pass down with my own written study notes. ❤
I think that in a lot of ways the beat down that non Zondervon publisher’s put on the niv really was a regrettable act of profit over disagreement- how many people put the niv on the shelf and never opened it again. Terrible- read your Bible, and love it, like this wide margin niv. Good review. Thank you
Hey Jason... You know how you can take this production to the next level. Fix the focus thing... the way to do this... Find a Wireless follow focus. It will let you control the focus my an app or a button. Automatically making it a bit cleaner. Love your videos man keep it coming!
My biggest frustration with this Bible and why I hadn’t bought it is because the text columns are too narrow. So it looks odd. Wish so bad they would make a better wide margin in niv.
The best bible format of all time, in my opinon, is a Reading Bible, of any translation. No Chapters, no verses, no headings, no footnotes, no crossreferences, just the text in a single column, preferably spaced based on the flow of the content. "Immerse Bible" in NLT is my favorite. Would love to see what you think about it! (Maybe you already have made a video about it) "The Books of the Bible" is similar for NIV. Not sure about NASB. Such a game changer! I dare to say other reference type bibles should just be thrown away lol. You read faster and longer and I find myself understanding more because the books were designed to be read entirely and not just in bite size sentence pieces. There's nothing better for reading the Bible like a regular book!
Now that I watched this video, I’m torn between the ESV Crossway Wide Margin and this NIV Zondervan Wide Margin. Which one of these bibles and translation is the best? I like the ESV translation. Not too familiar with the NIV. I wish they had an NASB also in one of them. The description on the NIV said it’s 36gsm paper. Which one would you choose?
I’m fairly certain the layout is the exact same as the new Thompson chain reference only with the outer columns with the chain reference system removed. I’m also fairly certain that the font used in this Bible has no alibi, as it is U-G-L-Y
So… it’s not, I compared them. (Seems like would have been a lot easy for them to make though…) You’re right… the font initiative they did a few years ago… like… WHY?!?!?
serious issues with the NIV though, not to mention the body of texts it and many others were based on and the people associated with choosing that over the other, the majority texts, which the KJV, NKJV, NASB and I think some others, are. There's a couple verses in the NIV where it waters down a reference to Jesus' deity. Sorry, don't recall exactly where - in the new testament tho. Anyway, just am encouragement to check into this stuff, prayerfully. I'm NOT saying KJV only, or that God hasn't preserved His word for us, well enough. I AM saying there definitely seens to be reason for serious concern about the above stuff tho, reason to avoid them and suggest a different translation esp. for new believers.
if you cannot understand the authorized version, you will not understand any version. why so many versions? #1 is money. #2 is to slowly degrade the word of God! why? we are getting closer to Daniel's 70th week and the serpent wants to bring down as many as he can. he does not want to spend eternity alone.

I believe that inner stitching is called overcast stitching and is actually a desirable feature
I really like the endpapers, but agree on the silver.
I got the blue leather soft.

This is as good as it gets.
That was too direct. 😂 what I should have said is… I have no desire to improve the quality of these videos. 😂
Hey where do you get it rebound? You might have a video on your favorite reminders. Which one should I use?
Depends on what you want. But it’s always Frost or Scritpura for me…
I love the NASB

I like it! When you start adding notes. Those things columns don’t look strange.

Thomas Nelson, you’re part of the same parent company. Can you do this for NKJV?
Please say it again...
I'm not a fan of the 2011, but I'll say, these new NIV Bibles that are coming out have beautiful layouts
They now have it in the NASB.
Did you send Zondervan an edible arrangement now that they made the NASB? ha
I didn't... but I apologized for it!!! 😂
