Sound wise, I think the Million Dollar Band is one of the best, but they are so big that they can't really do formations. Tennessee and LSU might not be as loud, but they look better on the field. Just my opinion, and I am biased toward Tennessee as an alum, but I still give Bama props on an outstanding band program!

Marching and formations impressive, musicianship and keeping in musical time appalling. They would not win any band competition in my country. But hey, it's Alabama. They need all they can get to make life more tolerable there.
How does that have anything to do with the band? It's people like you that ruin half time shows and band performances by making it about the football team. A marching band can be great a football team and horrible band, or a amazing band a sucky football team. It can happen either way.
