I wonder how any brothers of Phi Mu Alpha in Bama’s marching band feel when they sing the Alma Mater knowing what it’s inspired by?

Marching and formations impressive, musicianship and keeping in musical time appalling. They would not win any band competition in my country. But hey, it's Alabama. They need all they can get to make life more tolerable there.

I Notice they play it Right After Alabama Gets A 1st Down,..The PA Announcer Yells "1st Down, ALA....BAMA" and the crowd yells "ROOOOLLL TIDEEEEE"! then the Announcer Yells ROLL Tide Repeated and the band plays a small drum musical as he continues to yell Roll Tide? Sound wise, I think the Million Dollar Band is one of the best, but they are so big that they can't really do formations. Tennessee and LSU might not be as loud, but they look better on the field. Just my opinion, and I am biased toward Tennessee as an alum, but I still give Bama props on an outstanding band program!

Man, I wish the Oboe could be in that Marching Band. The double reed can easily break while marching around. Unlike the Trombone where there is nearly nothing specifically damageable. Anyways, this band spent a lot of time practicing for sure.

Feel free to either skip ahead or not watch it if it bothers you. The senior recognition has been left in for the students and their parents to enjoy. A waste of your time is something precious to them....and THAT is what its there for.
