Brilliant. Very easy tutorial. Subbed, liked and rang the bell. I used 2 small flat nano magnets on each corner of the flap. Really strong grip when closing. I also used 4mm thick veg tanned leather and skived the back of the leather where it should fold, so I could omit the cardboard. My daughter has now claimed it for her Ray Ban Sunglasses so I have another case to make. Reckon I’ll personalise it with some leather stamping. Thank you for posting this. Hello from the Highlands of Scotland. Stay safe everyone...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
oh that's awesome! Just what I was looking for! Yours looks so clean! I'll probably make mine out of canvas and sew it instead of leather and glue. I super appreciate you making the plans available!! Thanks!!
Well, that is fantastic! You didn't not disappoint. I really like the triangle design, and that was clever to use the thin fabric in order for the magnet to work better.
Neat idea and nice job of putting it all together. I guess other materials could be used for the lining? Maybe a suede type of leather or perhaps even a satin type of cloth? Thankyou for sharing.
The Minimalist Maker um.. yea it may but.. there is tiny rollers in market! but.. whatever the finished product looks awesome awesome I really loved the idea of no stitching. well done!
Very nice! I've been thinking about a similar design for a pencil case but with wooden ends, I'm sure with a metal punch of you're logo you could emboss it in too.
Dang it. I so want to not like this work - as it has no stitches and no burnishing - but again - I can't. You earned a subscriber. Well done. I love the finish look.
Felicidades por tu vídeo, está genial, sólo que echo en falta la plantilla para hacerlo para mis gafas de sol. Aún así te mereces una mano arriba que ya te he dado.
How do you keep the inside clean without wetting the cardboard ? I have a pair and I find after some time the inside can have some smell from the humidity
So glad I found your channel. Really love this and thought your explanations and process was done excellently. Nice work. I posted a DIY Leather Sunglass Case Tutorial as well, mine includes how to draft the pattern so people can customize the shape. Would love to hear your comments.
Depends where you live and what kind of paper your printer uses. I have both A4 and US letter sizes on my website. They should print correctly as long as you choose the right paper size for your printer. :)

Thank you! :)
Thanks for making 🤩
Amazing work my dear.
Thanks!
So good! You should do a video on how to somehow get your logo permanently on the leather case.
Thank youI thought about it, maybe if I can make a branding iron with my logo. :)
You can also do a hard plastic cutout, and clamp the wet leather on it ans let it dry. It should leave an impression.
Thats a great tip, I need to try it sometime! :)
or a brand like Derista

Thank you! And welcome! :)
Great job! Greetings from México!
Thanks!
I think if you used a metal roller in process it would give really good finish and glue can stick well to surfaces
Yeah, maybe, but this is such a small surface that I don't think it makes much of a difference in this project. Good tip though! :)

You're welcome! :)

That pencil case sounds so cool! :D I tried punching in some letters but it didn't work. I think the leather is too soft or something.
What type of magnet you use? Can only find super thick magnets. Thanks!
Great project. I'm really liking your videos.
Thanks!
Trabalho maravilhoso. Parabéns!

I haven't had this problem, so I don't know. The leather on the inside should protect the cardboard a bit from moisture.

Where did you get the template?
I made it :)
How did u print this? If that make sense, like did you do A4 LETTER at 100% or just regular print
Depends where you live and what kind of paper your printer uses. I have both A4 and US letter sizes on my website. They should print correctly as long as you choose the right paper size for your printer. :)
What software did you used to create the template?
I used Rhinoceros to draw the shape and then imported to Illustrator to add the text etc.
It doesn't want. To download the template😟
You have a lot of time on your hands ... and you use it wisely 😁
For past experiences I will recommend you cut through the cardboard with multiple passes to avoid accidents :)
I did cut it in two or three passes. That's the magic of editing! ;D
Can you plz upload its template
You can download the template for free from my website theminimalistmaker.com
