Just when we've heard enough dumb opinions about A.I. to last a lifetime, J.Lo and Atlas crash-landed this weekend to somehow make a weekend where we mourn dead soldiers even sadder. J.Lo drags Atlas even further down than your average Netflix original sci-fi film with her character that has the mind and emotional control of a teenager. The least they could have done with Atlas was make it a kick-butt action film along the way but no; they chose instead to make it a 90 minute therapy session where Jennifer Lopez's trauma is painfully & slowly extracted by an A.I. chatbot. Could this movie be the reason behind Ben Affleck and JLo's pending divorce? God is my witness that I endured 1 hour and 4 minutes. I have one more thing to say. in Romania, a sport appeared, fighting in a cage between a man and 2 women. Obviously, the respective girls were beaten hard by that man and the stand was full of spectators. He stood to receive some punches and then he fought back terribly.

There was too much talking and action. The movie should have been 45 minutes shorter, but that would not have solved its mediocre plot.

I liked it. No argument. I just enjoyed the science fiction. Probably the result of me growing up with only 3 TV stations. Though I did wonder if she was going to sacrifice herself for the AI and in doing so prove that humans can progress and thus give reason for a truce.

I usually like B-grade sci-fi but this one was SAD. Real SAD. Almost stopped watching when some AI machine's "pronouns" were she/her. WTF? JUST STOP IT! 🤣But since I always like a good laugh, and I did, toughed it out.

Seriously so many good scripts ignored and instead we get Atlas, Hart of Stone, red notice, 6 underground, the adam project, Rebel moon 1 and 2, the mother.

A 50 minutes hissy fit from a 54 y/o woman, who refuses to do the one thing that will guarantee her survival, is essentially what makes up the story of Atlas, and places it among the most pointless movies, I've ever been so unfortunate to be subjected to.

Elephant in the room. Most mere humans are Not allowed to look Jlo in the eyes. Hence, a Jlo Movie with practically no interactions with other Humans. Did again, other Actors decline working with her?

I sincerely don't get the negativity towards J.Lo. It looked like she acted her heart out in this movie. What she did is extremely hard, and in my opinion she did it very well. Evidenced by how into the movie my family and I were when watching it last night.
I feel like anxiety and distrust towards technology has never been higher, and this movie plays to that fear.
My biggest criticism towards the movie is how AI appears to be more than capable to help people and save the environment, but rather come up with bone headed plans to save everything by destroying it first.
I got 5 minutes into this movie and knew it would be right up there with Steven Seagals masterpieces. Lots of good content creation around her masterpieces.

I was willing to forgive JLo casting herself for the sci fi bit but even all that is stupid. From the beginning of a big Hollywood sign made into a hotel like building. So stupid future logic. To a lollipop to give you energy. Like what kind of dumb invention is that to waste you saliva licking into could be just a small tablet or edible one chew substance.

In all that kind of crap, the movie really reminds me a lot of TITANFALL without the ROMCOM that is. But talking about science fiction FTL Travel, damn they got a really fast FTL Drive going from 1 galaxy to another it only took them a day at most to travel from some Solar System (Milky Way Galaxy) to some unknown planet in the middle of nowhere (Andromeda Galaxy) that fast.
Even the Forerunner in HALO has no capability like that or the Necrons in WARHAMMER 40K, but OK I'll take it the FTL is not the FILM because clearly ATLAS is masquerading as a Hollywood Action Film but actually is a glorified ROMCOM Movie.
I wanted to support JLo but, it was terrifically bad....
