    Did you dampen the existing concrete before the bonding agent or before the sakrete application? I’ve heard that improves bonding.

      quickcrete brand, and yes it would be a temporary fix for you because most likely the driveway would keep sinking unless fixed the right way👍

    To fix the hair line cracks. lightly spray with water then take some dry mix. Put some on a piece of burlap and rub it in..

    I think I'll try this to bridge the transition between my garage floor and driveway. It's about 1" and i routinely wheel heavy tools out into the driveway and while they roll around fine in the garage with the casters that they are on, getting them back into the garage after use is somewhat of a manual experience as they aren't really set up for that much difference in elevation.

    Would this product work in your driveway to level out 2 foot x 1 1/2 foot area of concrete if you are driving over it every day in your car? Or, is it better made just for foot traffic like you guys did in your video?

    • @WorknDirt

      it should work because this product is strong but i would need to see the area to confirm...

      Curious if you went ahead with this and what your results were/are? I've been thinking about doing the same thing; it's in a spot where grinding wouldn't be a good option, but I worry about how durable this is with driving on it.

    Would you still recommend the plastic ontop during the process if this is done indoors? The facility i maintenance has water tanks everywhere so its fairly moist*. A small puddle takes 12-24 hours to dry sometimes. Its a hydroponics facility with the same issue where 2 warehouses were combined.

    • @WorknDirt
      @WorknDirt  Год назад +2

      sounds like a very humid environment. You should be OK without the plastic👍 that will make for a great cured product!

      sounds like the environment is humid enough so you can do without the plastic and you will get a strong finished product!👍

    Are there any issues with the feathered edges chipping over time?

    • @WorknDirt
      @WorknDirt  3 года назад +6

      that was my concern too but after using this stuff a few times im convinced that it will hold up for a long time as long as the old concrete is scuffed and clean to allow for good adhesion. I also forgot to mention that this product has 5000 psi strength!! it dries fast so you have to make small batches👍

    Would concrete contractors be able to do this? I have a 1''-2'' difference between my garage and driveway because I had someone give me an estimate on trying to raise my driveway. He said they can stabilize it but raising it might cause a domino effect on the other slabs since I have some flat and others angled. This might be a option for me because tried to some concrete repair before and turned out not very good.

    • @WorknDirt
      @WorknDirt  3 года назад +1

      yes this would be a good semi-temporary option for you because it sounds like you have a lot of settling going on so this option will eventually crack or become unlevel again far in the future.
      The only way to fix that amount of settling is to remove the concrete and fix the grade. which of course is a lot more money. just make sure you use the right product similar to the one I mentioned and follow2 the directions exactly. Good luck!

    • @chrisburger8794
      @chrisburger8794 3 года назад

      Well I ‘m definitely going to at least get it stabilized by foam injection soon to stop it from sinking more. Just wondering if concrete contractors could make a ramp like that in front of the garage because I did it before and not holding up a few years later.

    • @WorknDirt
      @WorknDirt  3 года назад

      @@chrisburger8794 I understand, all scenarios have their own issues but a good Concrete contractor should be able to do a good patch. Installing stress joints and east edges can't prevent ugly cracking. But I repeat, a good contractor using good products should be able to fix the situation for a good amount of time.
