Elon is the wealthiest man in the world and he runs multiple businesses, quite successfully, in addition to his many contributions to society. That doesn't exactly scream crisis, mid-life, or otherwise.
Twitter has lost half its market value since Elon. He’s lucky the board hasn’t removed him yet.
So why did he switch a perfectly fine logo and brand? Why did he fix something that wasn't broken?

Twitter was Jack Dorsey''s brand and he is no longer the owner, so what's the issue, exactly? Even meatball Ron changed his brand. He's DE-Santis, now. Is he going through a midlife crisis? Apparently lots of people don't fully comprehend what a mid-life crisis actually entails. Spoiler alert - It isn't changing an obsolete logo to something that better reflects his vision for his own company. And he is actually profit sharing ad revenue with verified users. Was he going through a mid-life crisis when he made his platform more of a profit-sharing business model? Or does it just tick you off because Elon is a free-thinker and not a sheep, who easily succumbs to the mob whose uninformed opinions are of no consequence to him, his life, or his many successful enterprises? It’s Elon’s company now, he should change the name. Elon isn’t your average guy, so did you really think he was going to keep the same Twitter name? And as I said, he’s not your average guy so of course he’s not going to stay with status quo by keeping old name, instead go with name similar to his brand or just something different than what the average person would choose. He has owned the x website for decades, longer than he's had children probably. His fascination with x has been around for a very long time. His merger with PayPal used to redirect you there. He owns SpaceX. I don't think it has anything to do with a son and he even has a daughter named exa. It's not unfair to rename something that you purchased and that you own. I don't think the people upset about it have noticed the x thing ever before now.
