Does the Mosky have the buffer? I think to A/B something against the Archer they should be on a switcher. With the Mosky into the Archer you're hearing the Archer's buffer whether its on or off.
The Mosky Silver Horse works fine for the price. Someone jamming at their house I don't think are going to see a huge difference bewteen these pedals. Affordable pedals like these give many players a chance to taste many different types that they would not otherwise be able to. I'd spend $30 for this pedal over the Archer. I'd be able to pick up others pedals to try as well with the money I saved. The times of certain companies being known for beng the producer of the best "pedal" are long over. Chances are you can easily find a cheaper pedal from a lesser known company and get as good results as a more established company charing much more for same thing. I get brand loyalty and all some people have. I have none as I'm not a professional making a living off music. I simply pluck at home for my entertaiment. These cheap pedals are God sent for players like me who want to taste pedals at prices we can afford.
The Archer sounds significantly smoother and more natural to me, but ordinarily when you're using an effect, you're not A/B-ing, you're trying to get a good sound, and the Mosky sounds good and seems useful. Lately, since I seem to be recording a lot and rehearsing and gigging a little, looking for sounds seems mainly to be a matter of grabbing an FX pedal and seeing if I can dial in a sound that'll work. Very different from having a pedal board with only 1 or 2 ODs on it, where I might be fussier, but less exploratory.
The Mosky have internally a 9V to 18V voltage doubler: The Silver its not the original clipping stage, they modified to LED and Silicon Diodes, the Gold its 1:1 to Archer, I have both, and its less comrpessed and have more headroom
I wonder if the Mosky would have the same bite as the Archer with a boost 🤔. I have the Mosky and it's a really good pedal and works well with my JCM 900

Silver Horse is nothing short of awesome for its price... Will stick to it until it breaks!
Would love to see any of these pedals vs the tc electronics Zeus.
change the voicing of the silver horse at the start for a fair comparison between these two.
The Archer sticks out it seems to be a little more clear and lively, I did get the Silver Horse recently and it actually sounds pretty good
Archer def comes out on top

Does the Gold have more bite than the silver?
@@1thess523 As I tested yes, in full gain it goes near boss DS 1, if you use a booster it goes to rat style
I actually prefer the silver horse, I think is has nicer overtones. Go figure.
