    One thing to add, a true compost situation generates a lot of heat, so would very likely decompose much faster. This was a really interesting video, well done!

    this video is like an action movie it has a mystery, cat, tresure hunting, pretty aloes, possible robbery, dog and an ending we root for xD

    This is so interesting! My local zero waste shop has started selling all their refills in bio plastics because of covid and I hate it. I currently have no way of composting aside from a few indoor plants so I feel just as guilty throwing all the bio plastic in general waste... it's good to know you can literally just put some of it in your plant pots and it will still degrade though!

    • @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist
      @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist  3 года назад

      How sad! I've seen that all over the world. It's hard for lots of people to compost, I wish it was more accessible but some stuff aparently just needs dirt!

    This was so interesting! I have recently got a pela case and was so curious if it would decompose just in soil at home! Such a good video

    I don’t have a pela case because I still have a (plastic) case that fits my current phone (lol it’s falling apart tho)... I guess all phone cases fall apart eventually but I’ve heard great things about the pela case and if you NEED a phone case, it’s probably the best choice

    • @CocoShin
      @CocoShin 3 года назад +1

      Yeah, there are lots of things that will be made of compostable plastic in the future. We just have to advocate for them by purchasing those items (when we need them) from companies that offer them and make sure companies that don't offer them know there is a demand!

    • @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist
      @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist  3 года назад

      Completely agree! If you need one, go for a compostable one!

    This is super cool! Love that you showed the case just buried in standard patio plants instead of in an official compost setup, because realistically, many people do not or cannot compost. It shows the accessibility of it!! This is also super cool that you filmed this over so much time, major props!👏👏 The Kanye comment🤣 2020 was really a time warp lol. "Poop video" at the end cracked me up🤣

    • @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist

      YES! I thought about doing compost but that went into consideration. Let's see if it decomposes in just soil! Also, I didn't wanna dig around in stinky compost haha! Omg all the 2020 comments sprinkled in, what a year!

    That’s crazy it would decompose so fast (relatively)! I am using cloth diapers for my baby, so it would be interesting to see how long it takes cotton fibers to decompose... though RUclips might not be around that long lol 🙃

    • @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist

      that's a tough one. Pela because they're compostable but recycled bc it's not made from new materials. So, i'd say whatever is more important to you :)

    lololololssss ever bury a plastic bag? it gets brittle and 'decomposes' just as much. to the point where it crumbles into nothing. i'm not sold, to say the least. love your videos, but i'm not sold on Pela just yet :P

    • @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist
      @TheSimpleEnvironmentalist  3 года назад +3

      Hmm...I may just have to try that next. Plastic does degrade but never fully breaks down. Some of my Pela case had compeltely vanished while with plastic bags remain microplstics forever!
