I think it was just right because they showed its skill and intelligence nicely but in the end of the day its still an animal easily beaten by man and that is what they made
Yeah, the intelligence part in the JP films is always problematic. The animal is showed killing some extras by outsmarting them in awesome ways, to then become dumber than any animal would actually be when chasing the protagonists. And that goes back to movie 1, it's almost a stylistic trait at this point.
I love the video but, it is important to remember that the I-Rex wasn’t created to be scary (in the jp universe), she and her sibling were created to bring in money. To show to *children.* And it even mentions such a point in the film.
It says in the film that they wanted it to be scary. Thats what it was specifically made for. Lets be honest, most people wouldn't go to see the herbivores, they'd go see the big scary therapods. This is an exact excerpt from the film when Dr. Wu is speaking to Massrani; "Bigger, scarier. Uh.. cooler I believe is the word that used in your memo. You cannot have an animal with exaggerated predator features without the corresponding behavioral traits." Later on Dr. Wu says "You didn't ask for reality, you asked for more teeth." So the I-rex was made to be scary.

That's because of the dramatic build up to the T-Rex, and the way that they filmed it which treated it like a movie monster, keeping it hidden and only showing pieces of it at once. Your mind could construct how big it was; indeed, you almost had to because it has so little screen time. I know I'm a little late to the party, but there was one creature I came up with a while back called Aquavenator titanonyx. Props to anybody who can guess what real dinosaur it's based off.
The raptors in Jurassic Park are deinonychus but they gave them the name because it sounded more dramatic, also if you looked back at deinonychus history you would have known that their first scientific name was velociraptor anterophus (pardon my spelling) I'm not trying to act like a jerk I'm just saying the raptors in Jurassic Park are technically velociraptors.
I think the "any Theropoda"+"any Ceratops" combination is awesome. But what I truly fear is the gigantic feathered demon deep in the trees. Stay with the movie, I vote for the kiwi-saurus. That is more dino than fiction, but creepy as hell. It could be implemented such a story.
I love the relatively wide snout and head quills of the drawing at 8:29. This has to be my favorite! Also I have to forgive the original Indominus for looking "plain" because even though a varied smattering of genes would manifest themselves in physical ways, most genes do not. Regulating internal processes, mental and physical acuity, and so on are where Indominus' other genes would most likely have gone.

I agree that the indominus was boring, and these would better replace it. For those who want to argue, the movie literally states they're looking for a scarier approach on a dinosaur, and these were much scarier than the indominus, they actually look like something a theme park would try to make, the indominus just looks like a normal dinosaur. The reason this is bad is because the entire idea of the indominus was to create a scarier dinosaur. Most people's arguments I see about the indominus being better, is that it's actually "realistic" when (if you haven't noticed already) jurassic park IS FAR FROM REAL. Hell, just look at the tyrannosaurus rex, it's nothing but a theme park monster compared to the real tyrannosaurus. I agree that some of these would be quite ridiculous if they put them in the movie (like the tyrannosaurus x dilophosaurus hybrid) but some of these WOULD do a A LOT better.

at 100,000 subs
Yes unless trey wants to remain anonymous.
CrabCroc well thats his decision
Cho0segoose yep
+Cho0segoose i think you can see it in "What does feathers look like on a velociraptor?
Dinomations RUclips true but i think we need an official face reveal
Well...
i love BOTH the Indominus AND These!
each awesome in their own rights~
3:05 I'm curious about how would it reproduce
It wouldn't.
It would impregnate itself
It would die in pain before even get to be an adult
My favourite fake therapist is nanotyrannus
I think Chimerasaurus may have actually been a toy from JP... 6:10 Bigbird's hungry.
Were you thinking of Ultimasaurus
Love your videos. You helped me learn much more about stuff that I love including dinosaurs keep up the great work
6:14 my favorite.
Indominus wasn't boring. The problem is that you are disappointed by a bad ass dinosaur because you were wanting some sort of impractical monster.
3:06 "K... k... kill... meeeee... please..."
They need a therezinosaurus spinosaurus hybrid
Yesss
3:38 this is just a "Ultimitesaurus" copy
Yeah
I love the relatively wide snout and head quills of the drawing at 8:29. This has to be my favorite! Also I have to forgive the original Indominus for looking "plain" because even though a varied smattering of genes would manifest themselves in physical ways, most genes do not. Regulating internal processes, mental and physical acuity, and so on are where Indominus' other genes would most likely have gone.
They couldn't make the Indominus too powerful or there would have been no way Rexy and Blue could have beaten it.
They could have made it more original though.
Not just a big spiny allosaurus with thumbs and broken wrists.
The 60 meters long Mosasaurus beated the shitty giant white raptor. Not Rexy and Blue.
Yeah!
or they could've had a good ending
5:17 That gey basicly predicted the new look of spinosaurus 2020
Lol you're right
finally someone that tinks the same about i.rex
I like the dunkleosteus rex the best. Just something about it's jaws and design.
And since dunkleosteus is the best ever
i love dippersaurus pinecus :D
Holy crap and these were hand drawn?!? These look so cool! I wish I could draw like that.
Btw you are my favorite you tuber. You are very smart and that's what I love about you and your channel.😀
Thank you ^^ I try to give as accurate info as possible
hey trey check out my #buildabetterfaketheropod on deviant art its called the garrasaures thyrannis my user name is GametamerHD on deviant art im new to it and i will be posting lots of paleo (and undertale ) artwork
and im a pretty young paleo artist so ya be suprised of how good i can draw
and try to figure what the hybrid dinosaur it is
Oooo i love this topic: a long time ago when i was a kid i was obsessed w gigonotasaurus because its larger than the t-rex, then, fantasized about an EVEN BIGGER version; Gigonototyranosaurus
I actually love you dude you were like a GOD of all the dinosaurs man
I liked the Indominus, it was a very believable super-predator and something that looks like it could exist in the real world.
"No one would be frightened by a 60 foot turkey" bullshit. Feathers or no feathers it's gonna fucking eat you
Just because the art is good doesn’t mean it’s better than the Indominus. I didn’t like the amount of crazy over the top designs, I preferred more grounded ones like the deinocheirus concovenater concoction at 8:07
That one was the best
I'm sorry to say this, but Traheripteryx has just deactivated his DeviantArt account. 😔
you mention feathers looking scary, that's something I always think about when people say feathered dinosaurs aren't scary. I wonder if they'd say the same thing if they were put in a room with one.
I thought the Indominus Rex was not boring. And most of the animals of this list would be disappointing in the JP franchise.
I been watching, your channel is more intelligent and more detailed than discovery channel ( which is quite low brow really) keep pumping out the videos, thanks!!!!!
8:13 Indaraptor
at least we didn't get one of these as the indominus... it would feel like a crappy fan fiction if one of these was the indominus.
4:22 Guys, that's pretty much just a Lavasioth from Monster Hunter. I mean, it could totally be a coincidence, but damn, look at the similarities. vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/monsterhunter/images/f/fc/FrontierGen-Lavasioth_Render_001.png/revision/latest?cb=20140906062818
Baron Featherstone I know right? XD
l find the monster hunter one reminding me more of a coelacanth
“Dies down”... 2019 and still going
my fake therapod would be gigantaspino
Dylan Wayde there is arleady areal theoropdndino called gigantsoinsaur its a ankylosaurid
i made one and its called the indocarrabiacephalus ya know gotta have that iconic "indo" at the beginning
indocarrabiacephalus nolindus
Great vid man! Please can you make a paleoprofile for megalania the biggest monitor lizard!
John Nas Thank you
2:22 Looks like pre-cyborg Gigan.
3:38 I personally love this one.
Amazing artwork.
4:23 well that's just lavasioth
And the one after a Gendrome
I kinda like having the indominus look realistic
The movie says that is going to be shown to children, I think it would be a bad idea to make Indy a horrifying creature.
It's a freaking theme park
Although they look cool, Indominus Rex was supposed to be marketed as a dinosaur, not Frankenstein's monster.
The imdominas Rex is basically a white t.rex with bigger arms
Rudy from ice age 3
Bruh number 9 is just straight up a jyuratodus from monster hunter, dude made the monster before even the game devs haha
