I personally think Manhunt 2 is the most impressive game for the PSP , not saying it's a good game . It's an impressive port .
Manhunt 2 is fine game. The graphics look amazing and the gameplay is fun. Yeah is censored but there's a patch for it to take the censorship away.
The Warriors is a better port imo

The GTA games are pretty damn impressive too. For the time it was mind blowing to me as a kid lol.
Also the Madden games. They were actually super impressive for the time as well.
Outrun and Wipeout both look incredible, wow!

I remember being quite amazed by the graphics of Kingdom Of Paradise when it was released in Japan. At the time, the PSP wasn't available in Europe yet and no one really knew how capable the console was. If my memory is correct, it was one on the first 3D action RPG on PSP. At the time, it felt like playing an early PS2 title but on a handheld. I'm glad it's on the list.

I remember being blown away by the cut scenes in Valkyrie Profile.
Alright, finally got around to this video! The PSP was such an awesome handheld, and really had some graphical powerhouses. Pursuit Force is such a hidden gem and looks great visually! The Syphon Filter game definitely looked fantastic and we’re just awesome games as well. Outrun 2006 is a sublime game for the PSP, and one that I’ve put countless hours into. Seriously, so many fantastic picks for this episode, and many I played and agreed with! Excellent video as always man!

The PPSSPP emulator for PC is awesome. I've been playing it lately and I'm very impressed.
Has the best user experience out of all the PC emulators imo.

You should also try the same emulator on mobile.
I just started to use that and my PSP collection looks great on a bigger screen. Plus using a controller and able to map controls to the right analogue stick makes game play easier.

For Phantasy Star Portable 2 i would download the Infinity version, only released in japan, but translated by fans, has tons of extra content and additional story.
Omg I remember siphon filter on the ps1. The psp made it 10xs better.
Also, I got outrun coast 2 coast 2006 for PS2 and it's AMAZING. I've played alot of racing games in my day, but that girlfriend mode, going thru the entire game in one shot, there's NOTHING like it

Phantasy Star portable 2 infinity
The background details dished out for each game, such as what prior entries had released on the system as well the time of the game's release add a nice touch to the video. It's rather interesting for instance that Pursuit Force was a launch title and one with pretty fun looking central mechanic to it.
0:16 - Tenkaichi Tag Team looks great and was one of those games I considered getting... but wanted to save the slim space left on my PSP for Riviera: The Promised Land and Grand Knights History... both which proceeded to never come out in PAL territories.

Kingdom of Paradise is a pretty good game. Reminds me a lot of the many ps1 game with a lot better visuals. It was my first psp game I played and still is my favorite. It is truly underrated

The as of yet Japanese only Nayuta no Kiseki is absolutely gorgeous, and arguably had Falcom's best overall art design.

Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast is the prime reason to hack a Vita. Because of the liscensing issues, it was never available digitally. And it always ran at around 20fps on PSP. I have the UMD, ripped the ISO with my hacked PSP, and can now play it at a buttery smooth 60fps on the hacked Vita! One of my favorite racing games of all time! Seriously, mind blown seeing that game actually running smoothly 😂
I remember when PSP came out, many said it was like having a portable PS2.
Since it brought visually surprising games, which far surpassed Nintendo's handhelds, although of course, PSP did not sell as much as the aforementioned ones.
I second the portable ps2 aspect, as even architecturally, it is in some ways similar to the ps2 (the gpu having very fast local memory, a vector unit, MIPS architecture). I see it as them trying to scale down a ps2 into a _portable_ package
It was literally a portable playstation, like a ps1 fully optimized. Hence the name psp

Kingdom hearts has some of the best graphics in gba, nintendo, ps2 and PSP
I absolutely love Phantasy Star Portable, especially Infinity (in fact, I never thought Infinity would get an english patch after sooo many years)! Gosh, thinking about the game makes me miss my PSP. Sure, you can emulate PSP games by now on phones and PCs but it just doesn't look and feel the same playing it compared on the PSP itself. The 60fps cheat and other graphical enhancements that are possible when playing the game on emulator is pretty nice though.
Portable 2 infinity is my most loved game to date, its a very fun and deep game, spent a lot of hours in
Why doesn't it look the same? U need to use psp colour filter to get the same colours as psp. And the game looks exactly the same with improved resolution and frame rate.
@@RandomUser-tj3mg In my case it's kinda more like a personal preference. I've played the game on real hardware for years so the feel, especially the controls, is definitely different for me when I emulate on PC or mobile. Using the PSP colour option's a good suggestion though, I never thought of using that 😅
Oh lord Tenkaichi Tag Team... I remember breaking my PSP screen because I kept dying on one fight and finally got mad enough to smash the screen lol! And of course after I got it fixed I learned that the fight I was doing was optional lol! Phantasy Star Portable 2 I've only played a little of, though I played a bunch of the first one. Same with Kingdom of Paradise. I got a copy of that game late and had to pay more than I was expecting but I enjoy it.

Dang do I miss Syphon Filter today. The PSP games were pretty good for a handheld console. More PSP classics need to get remastered for Sony's upcoming PS4/PS5 classic lineup. Shame Vita is getting completely ignored.
Pursuit Force looks fun too.

I played a lot of these games portably for years but wow PPSSPP does wonders. I have games running 2-3x on my steam deck and these games are just brought to life again. Such a wonderful system

I still have my PSP. The problem was I don't use the analog. So playing games like phantasy star and God eater needs to be in an emulator so I could abuse the analog like a madman

2:15 Till this moment I always thought the game was vehicle, only ever seen clips in vehicle, after all these years I still want to get it.
Just to state again: Kingdom of Paradise/Key of Heaven was a proper PS2-grade RPG experience and one that appeared very early in the PSP’s lifecycle.
I really think Flatout Head On deserves to be in the next part
It's essentially a port of Flatout 2 with only a few cuts, and its graphics are absolutely phenomenal and seemingly unchanged from the ps2/pc versions
I have DBZ, Pursuit Force, Syphon Filter, AC, and Pure.. Theyre all super fun!!🤝🏽😎

It's pretty impressive that AC Bloodlines even exists as a PSP game, yeah I agree, but I gotta be honest, the gameplay itself is honestly pretty bad, and easily one of if not the worst AC game out there imo (the world isn't exactly that impressive and that combat is just... yeah). Idk I just found it a slog personally. Liberation on Vita is better.
