What I enjoy about this channel is when they say words like forgotten, or hidden gems, or obscure in the title, they actually mean it. I feel like I have pretty niche taste in games and I try to keep up with smaller releases because of that, but even with that qualifier, I had only heard of like 5 games on this list and I hadn’t even seen gameplay footage of most of those ever before.
You didnt disappoint with NOVA on the PSP, I played that game recently (and did a shout out to you in my review of it) and had a blast. So I'm excited to see what you've got going on with the Vita.
Was having fun with that game until I got to the next world and I couldn't for the life of me get passed those robots with the lights that kill you if you're in their vision for too long. The game was bugged because one robot in the row of robots was the opposite direction so I could not get passed without dying. Tried 5 times and gave up and started playing tiny troopers
How could I ever forget about super stardust delta. It was the Vita game that Sony lied about being free with the purchase of a 3G PS Vita. They got a class action lawsuit from that and I was given a check for $50. They didn't specify that in order to get the free game you had to sign up and pay for 3 months of AT&T 3G data that was crazy expensive even for the time. I remembered I was very upset I was locked into AT&T since the JP version of the vita was unlocked.
Still have my PS Vita and use it regularly. Put the biggest memory card I could find in there and have Final Fantasy 1-10 in there along with a gang of other games.
I was considering getting Dengeki Bunko, tough it would just be for the Virtua Fighter stuff. Same with Shiren the Wanderer, it looked pretty fun. And I remember seeing some videos about Soul Sacrifice back in the day.
Asterisk War, the game that was Vita exclusive, got delisted, never had a western physical release and the only physical english copy is the asian one that goes for stupid prices. Remember getting it for 55 euro on play-asia, still have it and it is a fun game, but at current prices only meant for collectors.

If you want to use it only for PS Vita games, maybe. Some games have also been on PS4 and even pc. If you want it regardless of its flaws, go for it. You will get to enjoy homebrews as well if you like these kinds of things. Keep in mind that this is my biased view. At first, I wasn't interested in Vita at all until I played Danganronpa on PSP. Danganronpa 2 (Eng ver.) was only on PS Vita at the time so I borrowed my friend's Vita to play this game. It turned out to be a very nice device that I ended up buying one for myself. It's the first handheld I have bought with on my own with my savings.
@shazmanbound1496 My Source says 1,733 physical games released and the other 836 are downloadable PS1, PSP and PS2 games plus indies that didn’t get physical release or got released later on other platforms ( Switch), still library is over 2 times bigger than GameCube, nearly 6 times bigger than N64 and nearly 9 times bigger than the Wii-U! 🙄 So yeah nothing to sneeze at! 😎
Bigger than N64 and Virtual Boy though… and people forget N64 classics all the time so for the Vita be assured that for generations to come there will be an overlooked classic 😅

Story and sub-stories were great but you needed to grind for levels to see them

The ability to play this game on the vita with native resolution and right analog stick makes this game one of the best PSP games

Grand Kingdom was such a good game, it was largely online though, so it sucked when they shut down the servers.
Replayed it a while ago, still a fun game but I did miss the servers a bit the second time.

Utawarerumono trilogy is probably the best set of Vita games.

Unit 13 was one of the easiest shooter I ever played. Controls were awesome. Climax Ignition wasn’t released in America

Toukiden games was so fun online. Online was free also(vita). You can transform saves from vita to ps4 vice versa. Fast and easy too.
