Funny how disco is often regarded as superficial but I find a lot of the best disco to be poignant and moving. Just because you can dance to it doesn't mean there's no depth!. A few days after the Brexit vote a mate of mine who is Polish, a really lovely, quiet and humble chap, was told to fuck off back to where he came from. Bigots are so original. And from the window of my flat outside Swansea I saw a young dark-skinned lad being shouted at by a couple of thugs, much older. I grew up gay in working-class Wales and am familiar with bigotry and bullying since my schooldays, but I haven't seen such open and unashamed racism before. People want to pretend that Brexit wasn't inspired by racism despite the most openly racist political campaigning in modern British history. In the months leading up to Brexit, practically every person I saw being interviewed on TV in those 'on-the-street' interviews mentioned 'immigrants'. So yes, every single person who voted to leave is racist because even if they weren't explicitly racist themselves, they DEPENDED on racists to get the result they wanted. With the vote so close, there isn't the slightest possibility that the UK would have voted leave if it wasn't for racists. So each and every one of them can go fuck themselves forever. So Happy New Year to Jimmy and every decent person, and the worst of new years to every bigoted, racist twat!. Throughout human history, hatred has won many battles, but it will never win the war.
