    The CAP2 dye job came out awesome.

      Thanks, I think so too. It was a gift as well from a fellow bag nerd. 🤓

    key leash location makes sense to me. You can swing it around your shoulders and open the door instead of taking the entire bag off your back

      Glad it works for you but I’d definitely prefer that to always be up top - the same way the CHZ and CPL have it configured!

      at the top? so you have to take off the entire bag at the end of the day? thats just brainrot. sorry.

      @e3vL1 maybe not, but at the top is like an unusable scenario so ill take the quick fast access potential.

    So annoying that EG always tries to tell us where we want our keys leashed (CPLs V2+ have it in the top pocket IIRC) when the solution you mentioned from Able Carry is a much better idea and imo doesn't compromise the sleekness of the bag/design.
    And I was not expecting that EDX to pop out! Great spot for a packable bag, I hadn't considered that.

    Nice review! I have the CHZ22 in burnt orange and it's one of my favorite bags. I honestly think the CHZ is a bit under rated among the Evergoods line of bags. The CPL and CTB seem to get most of the love. I'm contemplating getting a CHZ26 just to have the larger size for travel. Since I don't carry a laptop when I travel the inside laptop sleeve doesn't concern me, but yes I can see where it would get tiresome to have to constantly pull your laptop in and out if you were using the bag for work.

      I love the burnt orange! I had the CPL24 in that colorway previously as well!
      I love the CHZs. The 26 is great for travel though I do find myself missing the additional quick access pocket in the front that the CTB has. Otherwise is lighter more sleek and I also feel to be more comfortable.
      Also agree with the laptop sentiment. The dedicated compartment is better but the internal sleeve works great in its own way! Though much harder to get out when the bag is packed full.

    Excellent video and thank you for replying to my Reddit post.
    I have a question for you about the CTB26. Could you fit 2x of the Evergoods 8L packing cubes in the main compartment with the small peak design cube on top? And then also fit the Aer Dopp Kit in the front drop pocket you fit the Nalgene in?

    • @ECsEDC
      @ECsEDC  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks, and you’re welcome. Always happy to help when I can.
      I just packed out 2 TPC8s and laid those the tall way and vertically at the base of the bag and the small PD cube fits right up top. There’s even enough room to then place the Aer travel kit 2 on top of the small PD cube. It zips up, with a bit of effort, and the bag is pretty full but it’s totally doable.
      The Travel Kit 2 does not fit in the front quick access pocket.

      @@ECsEDC Just got the CTB26 XPAC/COYOTE and 2x TPC8's today. I stuffed it with my load out.
      It was at max, I could barely get the zippers to close on the main compartment. I don't think I'm able to make it work for a long term trip, having zero room or flexibility for anything extra and being in Asia for a month gives me anxiety. I guess If I dressed more "travel brand clothing" friendly it would work but I wear a lot of normal cotton XL clothes and heavy vintage 90's skater style.
      I'm sadly going to return it and get the CTB35 and see if that can fit my needs. I need more room to play around with... my last trip I brought a 45L duffel that fit a ton more stuff, so the CTB35L will feel minimal to that... this just seems barebones .

    just a heads up… at 1:46 you talk about the benefits of dying the fabric upstream, yet much later in the video you talk about dying your cap2 downstream (strands have been woven, product is already complete…)… it doesnt really make sense to talk about one thing early on, and do the exact opposite later on… 😅

    Will the Aer Go Pack 2 fit in the laptop compartment?

    • @ECsEDC
      @ECsEDC  3 месяца назад +1

      Yup! I was able to put in the Matador Refraction and EDX, as well as the Aer Go Pack 2. Keep in mind I wouldnt recommend a bag and a laptop in that area but one or the other fits comfortably.

    What do you store in your CAP2 in this video?

    • @ECsEDC
      @ECsEDC  4 месяца назад

      My CAP2 is generally packed for more long term tech storage, or anything more than 24 hours away from home. Laptop power brick, charge cable, larger 10,000mha external battery, SSD sometimes, GaN wall charger, usb-c cable for my phone, charger for my watch, a small pouch for flash drives, AirTag, wired head phones and maybe a pen. It varies but this is probably pretty close most of the time.

    • @KelvinHew7
      @KelvinHew7 4 месяца назад +1

      @@ECsEDC ok so you'll only bring the CAP1 for your tech with you on your travels?

    • @ECsEDC
      @ECsEDC  4 месяца назад

      If I’m bringing my laptop then I’ll bring the CAP2. If not, I can often get by using the CAP1 for storing my tech. That’s often the deciding factor.

    What the max weight the CTB26 can carry before it starts to feel too heavy in your opinion?

    • @ECsEDC
      @ECsEDC  3 месяца назад

      I’ve definitely put at least 25 pounds in this multiple times for travel and a few times for scenarios going to/from work and it does well. The bag can easily handle more but I’d say that comfort will be subjective to the wearer. I don’t have issues with the ~20 lbs.

      Thanks! Which patch are you asking about? If it’s the one on the outside of the CTB26, that was picked up on Etsy and I added hook adhesive on the backside.
