That X-Acto knife is a great idea. Always great for cleaning up some of those edges that can look off when using just the scissors. I like these MUCH more than the Hotline grips I got for Viper Mini (very little grip, just adds texture).. I can at least use those cutouts for a template of my own.
I removed the original side grips of the Razer Viper before applying the Lizard skin.. it helped greatly and provided a little smidgen of allowance so that side buttons are tactile instead of recessed.
Do you know if it leaves any residue behind after removal? I am interested in putting it on my Viper Ultimate but I don't want the rubber sides to get ruined by sticky residue that might be hard to clean off of the original mouse grip.

Hey Bob! I was wondering if this tape would be good for me I have an air58 and fingertip it but my hands don’t stick well and only do if my hands get damp and I wipe them I get a sticky feeling. Do you think this tape would help replicate or amplify that feeling?
is there any problem printing the templates on an A4 paper even tho they say it's supposed to be printed on some US standard? I'm not familiar with printers or anything like that :D

Thanks for this video. Been using the Lizard Skins for hockey on my mice for a few yrs now. Great grips except the tape wasn’t wide enough coming from a roll. This pad should be way better for sizing. You said the grip is even better than what the Hockey tape offered?
Yeah I always thought the same I liked the material/grip level but not how thin the tape was as it didn't always cover enough. Now though it does. The grip/texture is the same you are now able to make them wider. Also they include the templates for certain mice and are expanding that list.

I did a DIY with the Lizard skin grip for bats ( which I would say is not made for a mouse for sure), it’s been almost a year with no issues at all, it just gets dirty if you don’t clean it regularly, but the same goes for the naked mouse anyways, so yeah, pretty nice.
watching this got me thinking, I will soon try to use badminton racket grips and cut them to size so that it fits my viper mini, I will give an update to this comment after I've installed and used it

yes I agree its normally a cleaner cut if you have one to use.

The only one I've seen residue on is the XM1 otherwise they all seem to be fine. You can use the Scotch Tape trick if you aren't sure.

I use the Mr. Pen French Curve and Template Ruler Set for cutting really tricky curves, that's just my OCD kicking in lol

It's hard to remove that rubber on the side of the viper. Here's a video with me taking it off at the end to save weight.

Yes I've done it it's very easy if you get rubbing alcohol behind the stock grips getting them off without alcohol is impossible.

depends on your preference. finger tip seems to be what people want to achieve. I claw/palm depending.

I'm not sure yet as I've not opened the Razer tape but I will be doing soon.

Pick a colour that goes with your setup. if you can't decide black is always a solid pick.
What about dirt , hands oil and stuff?
That will always impact the grip.
