I use to live on NE 50th street and would always walk to the nature center to fish. I caught the biggest flounder of my life casting under the short from the shore. It filled up the bottom of my 26" cooler.
Great video! Trying to figure out that last “bonus” location.... I have also ran into that crazy guy at the beginning of the video down there. I think he is called the alpha male of OKI. Lol!
These spots are muddy bottoms and main contain oysters. You can still castnets for bait, just need to be careful of the oysters so your net doesn’t get torn up.
It still beats working any day of the week. Glad to see the young ones out with you!

Thanks for the fishing locations. Great video!
The guy at the beginning looked familiar. Rough time of year to catch fish but you succeeded. Awesome.
Ha, thanks for the intro!
I know Steve I am the one that got Steve into doing his RUclips channel. He is a great guy. Ask him about me.
My house is on Barbee Blvd abd we cast net at low tied to get our bait. It is a great location for catching bait.

Where do you get fresh shrimp?
Any of the fish markets sell them, Clem’s or Haags. Somtimes Clem’s has live ones.

Are these spots flat sandy bottoms? Can you castnet fish from these docks?

Is oak island or topsail better for fishing?
Well I’m pretty biased... though I have heard good things about Topsail, I’ve not fish it much myself.
Sorry wrong Oak Island
