Trans rights are not the same as biological women's rights.
Tell that to Sir Keir Starmer, the SNP politicians, and most of the country who voted for either party during the election.
@@barryt2666 And?
Sadly, it is a 'left wing' purity issue! Labour were boxed into adopting "trans rights" issues as being identical to women's issues otherwise they would be called bigots, fascists or even Nazis. 😔 Any sane person can understand that women's needs and requirements cannot and should not be conflated with those of trans women or trans men.
Fortunately, Changed Labour are in government so will focus on serious problems and not absurd 'wedge' issues.
@@KloppMichaelBarnes You think so ? With Sir Keir in the hot seat ?
@@tudormiller887 Yes, Starmer is a small c conservative like the majority of the UK population. That is why he instituted a Stalinist purge of the left wingers! They really, really hate him to the core; more than the Tories do. It is actually funny 😂
Never stop. You're amazing
Labour are trying to be all things to all people.
Labour has forgotten that the main role of a party is to represent the working class. The majority of the taxes collected by the government are generated by this group of individuals. And very attention has been given to the income taxpayers of Britain. Labour is appearing to be the party that has minority issues at its fore. For me, it appears to be a political activist party.
@@albertenvajohannes2649You're half right. Labour has always been full of Marxists - who view the world thru the prism of oppression. When the working class were satisfied with improved pay and working conditions and having a car and home gadgets, and consequently failed to enact the revolution the Marxists had hopes for, they gave up on them. Now they pay lip service to the working class but what they're really interested in is identity politics. Hence the inability to admit biological facts, their obsession with critical race theory, their need for open borders and their anti British, anti-Western sentiment. They WANT to destroy Britain, so they can rebuild it the way they want it. Which has never worked in history. There's no escaping it. Labour are going to cause permanent damage to this country. We can only hope that people will wake up and some political force will be able to repair it. I'm very fearful for the future of the UK and of Europe.
@@albertenvajohannes2649Activism is an elitist activity. It's about divide and rule
@@MickyG1152 Yep! That's been their problem since Blair left the party. They have no clear 'identity' They may as well be the Liberal Democrats, with a pinch of Conservativism thrown in for good measure.
@@albertenvajohannes2649 Well they haven't 'forgotten' that was a deliberate switch to a more Right Wing ideology when Blair became leader of the party..
Thanks, Helen Joyce!
Well said Helen 👏
When the heck did trans rights take over women's rights
When men started declaring themselves women and demanding that everyone bow to that lie.
You are the best! Thanks for your hard work!
Look up what Russell Williams did. Men that like to wear womens knickers are not ok
I agree with you 100%. Yet I want Labour to follow this lunacy through. It will be great for Reform.
And what are women and girls - sacrificial lambs for Reform's cause?
@@swimmad456 As they always do in the end.
A holistic approach is required.
Obviously Kia starmer doesn’t know what a women is
He does know, but he's prepared to pretend that some men are women too, because he thinks that pleasing men is more important than telling the truth.
True, but they're playing both sides instead of dancing a little side step .
Well done Helen 👏 👏 👏
well said
1000% right
👏👏👏
After all we have been around the beginning of time
"tiny number of men who don't like being men.." what about the men who do like being men but who have worked out that only men can legally be charged with rape, and self id means you can be legally a woman, without any operations, drugs or even a change of clothing.
They can also get access to target rich environments.
And yet so many people vote for them. It's unfathomable.
Not that many
@@Stephen-lx9nm9 million is a lot. It may not be a majority, far from it, but it is still a lot.
@@lynChip29 It's because of the outdated FPTP electoral system.
@@george6977 Well Labour received less than 40% of the overall vote. In the recent elections. After the 2011, referendum on electoral reform of the political system. 68% to 32% voted in favor of keeping FPTP.
the amount of ppl who can't defend trans rights without being misogonystic is worrying. Women are not to be sacrifices at the alter of male desire.
As the saying goes ,
Nowt as queer as folk !
She is really trying her best to attacks Keir Starmer
Why not ?He needs to prove her wrong .They are under the spotlight now ,not the tories 😂
@@Stephen-lx9nm You totally right in the fact that we know need to check on Labour. But she talks rubbish.
@@tablet6109Rubbish like 'men who call themselves women are still just men'? Lol
Can't vvimin just be made illegal?
Ok but what more rights do women actually need?
And why does she care?
@@scottgrimmett7159If you can't understand why women care about the law safeguarding them against sexual abuse by their biggest predator - men - then you're incredibly dim-witted.
All programmed
🏃♂️💨 sex and gender are a social construct - Judith Butler 😛
Buurrrnn the heretic!!!
[Sound of reeing increases]
Judith Butler’s view that sex is a social construct might work as a grand Phd thesis among the neo-intellectuals but nature was there before society if you’re a Darwinian say, to separate men and women for the primogeniture of the species. If you’re a traditionalist like me - God made male and female. The perennial philosophy I think would agree that on the basic physical level there are clear sex differences between male and female. Thus, females need their own political bodies as well or body politic for their protection - after all knuckleheads it is women who are not just human beings but mother-wombs - that’s not a prerogative of men - nor the socially constructed trans-man.
@@ajlambe1340 True but societies organise gender relations in any number of ways. A woman wearing trousers in public in Victorian England would have been considered an eccentric and/or transvestite.
@@pulchralutetia There are no genders to me. It’s a made up word that means something inside a so-called progressive ideology. The order of Being comes first to me and that will dictate the clothing required, it will even be fashionable, not suitable - excuse the pun - for any subjective progressive in any era. But inside a progressive ideology where there is no sign of Being just materialist, secular individuals - modernists - you’ll get every identify imaginable - clothing - etc., and they will also want to be noticed and perhaps celebrated like the transvestite in the Victorian period.
Please tell me one single right that men have which women don't. And if you can find one I'll tell you 10 in reverse.
That's not the point. The point is that women need things that men don't. Women need reproductive care, maternity care, maternity leave. Women need women only sport because they can't compete against men. Men don't need that as women arent a competitive threat. Women & men both should have separate spaces for certain things (prisons, hospitals etc but this is a more important right for women as men pose a threat to women in a way that women aren't to men
@@chiefsdad it's not all about legal rights. There is the right to be treated with the same respect. For example we are still in a time were men are celebrated for the number of women they sleep with whereas women are shamed for it. The shaming and devaluing of women based on their sex life, clothing, fertility, age, relationship status etc etc contributes to real harm caused to women.
Also, I think we all know that having a right in law does not always work in practice. We cannot admit there are innocent men in jail, that the rich get away with things the working class don't etc and then think because legally women have the same rights that in reality gives them the same rights.
@@DanielleMckenzie-i9t you really need to flush all the rhetoric out of your system and start thinking clearly. In the west women lead incredibly privileged lives and are treated, in law and in society, as first class citizens with rights that men don't have.
@@chiefsdad okay you clearly know better than all of the history professors, psychologists, lawyers, etc
@@DanielleMckenzie-i9t you know you're done when you willfully ignore facts and rely on the argument of authority. And what's worse is you're claiming the authority of other people to back up your vacuous drivel.
Again, I'll ask you (not your imaginary friends) - tell me one, just one, right that men have which women don't and I'll tell you 10 more in reverse.
Joyce is weirdly obsessed with trans people.
No, obsessed with woman’s rights. That’s the point.
Haaa thanks for proving her point
@pulchralutetia
What do you mean 'weirdly obsessed'? What a ridiculous statement. She is concerned as any BIOLOGICAL WOMAN should be about the safety of woman's spaces ie bathrooms, changing rooms etc
Gender Ideology/using illogical pronouns is being normalised as fact & anyone speaking out against it gets cancelled or threatened online.
Trans-activists are the ones 'weirdly obsessed' about their fetish of dressing up as women & feeling 'trans-joy'
Telling gender non-conforming children that they were born in the wrong body is one of the most regressive and dangerous actions of our time. This practice, akin to gay conversion therapy, targets gender non-conforming kids, many of whom are gay. She is protecting the gay community by speaking out against this. Moreover, a child who has never studied biology or experienced sexual relationships cannot fully grasp such complex concepts. Labeling this as child abuse, she courageously calls out these harmful practices.
Hope you read the replies to your comment @pulchralutetia
American feminists stand firmly with Dr Helen Joyce and Sex Matters. Thank you for being the voice of today’s Women’s Rights Movement. “Woman is not a consolation prize. It just is!” H. Joyce Thank you for the laughs as it helps ease the pain of the extreme misogyny we are all experiencing. 💜🤍💚
