- For some reason I wondered what the world of Stardew Valley would be worth if every space was a diamond. With that in mind I set out to place a crystalarium on every possible spot on the map and have it produce diamonds. Many twists and turns later and this turned into my stupidest idea ever. Never again. Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always!

also here's an idea vid - how far can you make it in Stardew Valley without buying anything from stores? So you'd have to grow mixed seeds instead of buying from Pierre, etc

Like how much of community centre can be done without buying? Interesting idea. With fruit cave you can do both fruits and mushrooms. (with mushroom cave obtaining fruits wouldn't be possible I guess) Animal bundle is impossible without buying and probably most of the fishing bundles (sturgeon would be really hard to catch for example). Dye and chef's bundle need a cultivated flower, so they also require buying.
What's the impact of not being able to finish those bundles? In case of the fishing bundles and bulletin board bundles - not a big deal. I don't use the copper pan and the friendship boost is neat but not necessary. However, not finishing the animal bundle means no greenhouse.
It sounds like a great idea for a new let's play series :)
@Rantorian But reward for the money bundle aren't animals or coop or cultivated flowers though? Technically Joja bundles aren't shop, maybe you mean that? But it would kind of go against the spirit of the challange of no buying. Maybe allowing travelling cart and sewers could be more fun, it would be "no buying in civilisation challenge" or sth.
Mixed seeds will grow into whatever plant, and then you can just seed maker them to get plant-specific seeds. The only real annoyance would be no backpack.

So if you take the math from DF's Sweet Gem Berry video, DF managed to plant 46,748 Sweet Gem Berries.
theoretically, had the game not crashed, DF was going to turn 46,748 plots of farmable/placable land into Crystalariums which contain a single diamond.
That's 46,748 x 750,
totaling 35,061,000G.
With the Gemologist perk, Diamonds go from 750G a piece to 975G a piece, bumping that number up to
45,579,300G.
Those items that spawned in the cave are error items, and they probably spawned because the game was freaking out in reaction to the large amount of crystalariums and diamonds. There are a wide range of these error items and they are often portrayed by various unused sprites. Hope this helps.

I think every time he plays with frozen time it probably freezes the file time as well. I am probably entirely wrong though, it's just a theory.
He broke the file Mumps some time ago I believe,this could be the reason why the hours are shorter than we think.
I believe he had to make a new Mumps file because the original one got corrupted. he tried to get to the point of where he was in the original file but the amount of hours cannot be reproduced.

You have to wonder who is the madlad that accepts the request of mods that he needs.
EDIT: We're all silly, just add all he shows for his sweet gem berry run, it's the same spaces. 46,793 is the final count for stacks of sweet gem berries from the last cover the map video. So for no Gemologist the gold count is 35,094,750. For Gemologist the gold count is 45,623,175.

My own experience with Automate and Crystalariums is that you need to manually input the first diamond but all subsequent diamonds produced will go into the chest.

Idea for you...During one of my first playthroughs I started hoeing up the beach and discovered you can make a good chunk of money off of doing just that because you find the winter foregables. How much would it be worth to hoe up the beach every day of winter?
Thats good but you can also make those into winter seeds and get plenty more money
With the tractor you can hoe an pickaxe the beach nonstop all winter getting a pretty much nonstop supply of reg quality Winter Root and Winter Yam.
I'm gonna call this the "Great Christmas Diamond Disaster". Not to be mistaken with the "Great Fairy Rose Disaster" of which we will not speak of.

im sure you dont care, but youve probably missed some spots: behind the bus stop, floor 0 of mines and skull cavern, casino and sandys shop, tunnel with the qi quest

Sandy's shop had them, and i dont think you can place anything in the casino and the road next to the busstop

From what was shown in the video, DF collected 24,448 diamonds in total. With the Gemologist skill, all of these diamonds are worth 23,836,800 gold in total.

Mentally I'll farmer goes on a rampage through town placing strange objects everywhere. Authorities are unsure what to do since all roads are closed and travel around town is nigh impossible. If you see a man named mumps do not approach call authorities immediately. This man is unpredictable and we wouldn't want any of our townfolk to be hurt since it is impossible for us to enter patients into the hospital at this point.

In a previous video when you covered everything in sweetjam berries you stated that it was 46,748 of them harvested. so converting the possable space for the diamonds it would be $35,061,000 or $45,579,300 with Gemologist.
Fill the entire valley with ancient fruit wine, harvest them all over a year, make them into wine, make the wine into iridium quality, and sell them.
Even better: Every spot has a shed, each shed is full of crystalariums.

I was a big harvest moon fan a kid. Well after i started watching your videos i decided to pick this up and give it s try ive been hooked ever since.
This was a terrible idea but my favourite worst decision you've ever made was marrying everyone only to realize that you can't divorce them anymore. That was gold.

Unless you take multiple harvests, wouldn’t the output from the crystallariums equal the amount of diamonds it took you to put in?
They should make a mod where you can fill the whole map with an object. It will also clear the farm and it would go by much much quicker
This reminds me of an idea I was working on involving the item ID glitch, crystallariums and a LOT of deluxe barns. I haven't played in a while though, I really need to get back to it.
I think I'm gonna watch the episode where DF flirts everyone. All the romance options cycling in the bed look silly.
