- This is a little walk through a song using the amazing Saxophone voice that's in the Yamaha GENOS Legacy voice section. Add some reverb and a little delay and you've got one of the best sounds for ballads and easy listening music.

Since I heard this GENOS play the game of thrones theme ive been in love with it. Without question the greatest workstation of ALLTIME.
My main instrument is the tenor sax so believe me when when I say you made the sax sound fantastic. You made me think of Gato Barbieri playing Europa.

This is absolutely brilliant Leigh … You extensive knowledge of the beautiful Yamaha Genos is commendable and serves as a great tuition for us rookies :) I wish you make a series of how to use the chords fingering that’s what makes the song accompaniment special.
Another great video Leigh. I have to agree, this amazing instrument just draws you in to play more. I think the only place that needs a little improvement is the choir section. I've been trying to find a voice sounding a bit like Vana Verouti on Vangelis' 12o'clock track but so far to no avail. Other than that, I tend to play around for hours on end , and 5 years in to my custodianship of this wonder, I'm still finding little surprises. Please keep doing your videos, showcasing what this beauty can do.

Leigh, I love the way you execute these songs you have a lovely relaxed style. I don't know if you have considered this. It would be great if it is possible for you to create 30-minute downloads that we could purchase from you. I could use this as relaxing background music at dinner parties and other evening occasions with friends. It could become a good little source of income for you.

I keep watching Korg PAx5 vs Genos 2 and I can't decide which I am going to get. I am a Korg guy forever, never owned a professional Yamaha product. For the first time this sounds like the instrument I want to play with band and at home. Decisions...... Korg Pax5 or Genos 2, Oh my! Where can I play both in California?
Korg in general has better ergonomics as menu structure. Yet this model can be different in this regard.
In terms of quality I don't think you can go wrong with either.
As for advice in the California area check a YT chanel called Piano Tone.
Can you get a bit of "gravel" on any notes with the sax? Thanks...
I’m not sure what you mean but I’ve applied filters to my alto sax that adds significant amounts of texture and resonance. Sounds way more dynamic and I guess adds that gravel to it.

Great video, but as I said in a previous comment, why did we spend all that money only to use voices from older keyboards?
Why didn't Yamaha just take the legacy Sax's and make them sa2?

Nice video, How you access to legacy section?
Go into your voice area and keep pressing the up button in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Page 2 will show a folder called legacy. Go into there and tadaaaa

Hi - No because the voices are not in the SX900 - You need to treat yourself to a Genos 2 to get the sound and style! Thanks for asking though.

@@waynemister75 hi Wayne. We don’t feature the 700 but do for the 900 and Genos. It would be a case of you maybe joining for one month and trying the content. If it works for you then great, if not then you can just cancel.

is it still holding up 4 example against Pax5? I still think the Genos sounds nicer but is a little behind in tech and memory etc
It’s got the same memory as korg and as far as I’m aware there’s nothing bigger than 3gb
Korg has in general better ways to edit sounds and to create styles from scratch. Yamaha is better supported by additional voice and style content and meanwhile the expansion packs and premium voices are free, the only limit is the space in memory
There's a different old keyboard they made Yamaha syth lv1 should here the sax in that I don't know why they didn't put it in all the Yamaha keyboards
