Peter Baartmans presentations are great, the only thing I have to say about this video in particular is to the editor of this video, YOU HAVE CLEARED THE SOUND!!! Peter fantastic as always and Genos an incredible keyboard !!!!!
Bravo Peter Baartmans you are one of the best youtube keyboard players its always fun to listen to Your playing i have the poor man's genos the psr 970
Yamaha Genos ben ik geen fan van. Maar Peter Baardmans.. Onomstotelijk in 1 woord met Yamaha genoemd. En met recht. Al 35 jaar geleden genoot ik van zijn demonstrates. Toppie Peter.
GO NOW TO 20.38 now I'm not a huge fan of this guys mannerisms and way on stage, but at least he's not boring, just seems a little Ott, maybe its just he's way and what's needed to demo, but the feeling he puts in to that latin track and the synth lead after is amazing, showing this guy is a class player.
Estate at 21:00, a classic latin jazz. Mr. BaArtsman is high-end. One great thing about yamaha is demos of peter baartsman. The company should promote him To be vice president on sales 🗽🎆🌠
Reminds me of the late 80's 'flagship' arranger workstations psr6700/PSR5700. They had a sImilar outlook - at first sight pretty impressive ;-loads of real-time controls and faders , unique play techniques (Multi layer/split/dual voicing , InteractiveAuto styles, etc), leading sound engine synthesis (AWM2) but then inexplicable defficiencies elsewhere: e.g. for even then, limited recording and other functionalities (8 track sequencer, rudimentary MIDI, for instance) ,and on a big $3k (then) instrument! The psr 6700 especially had that ability to be superlative (orchestral, brass, string palletes, synths) and maddening at the same time (tiny, low-end sounding drum sounds.. as some rather rubbish samples here on the GENOS!!). A sample of t`he PSR6700 is here (soundcloud.com/jsmawejje_jossjjew/somewhere-in-scotland ), but once you got the hang of working them , they turned into truly quality instruments. They still are in a super weird way (check ebay prices). I would actually see the Genos team possibly referenced them or aimed to emulate that DNA/ line of concept, - in a nut-shell like a unique cross between a professional and domestic level instrument.
Amazing keyboard but even more amazing is Peter, this man has unreal keyboard skills. I love the Yamaha but I’m really impressed by Peter’s keyboard skill. 👍👍
Carlos Maldonado , obviously Peter is a trained pianist/keyboardist. He is there to show all of the functions of the keyboard at hand. I don’t think they would expect someone without piano or keyboard or music background to start off with that particular instrument. Show off, I don’t think so. Peter is just really good at his job and knows what the instrument can do. I guess that’s why he was hired. I hope you’ve ordered yours.😳🙄😁
Yamaha should lift up the display screen back as Tyros series to bring the real beauty of Genos and worth of price what you pay (almost $7000 Canadian) it will be very visible display for the player to enjoy that what he press in because of Touch screen some time you don't know what you pressing also adding Indian Expansions packs too. If Yamaha does not care may be Korg P4 series is an option for price and some voices very realistic in KORG but Yamaha you may feel that you are with instruments room
Just imagine one of these things, with another full keyboard (or two!) and a full pedal board (25/30), all housed in fantastic stage cabinet. What a shame Yamaha abandoned the home/stage performance organist. Still miss my HX1. I agree with the comments on the sound mix, which almost ruins a great demo.
Problem is its such a small nische of buyers that would buy a console organ today, they wouldn't make money on it. Yamaha abandoned 76key arranger boards for almost 2 decades, because of the financial disaster with the P9000Pro wich came a year after the P9000 and noone baught it (except a select few - myself included) that really wanted the 76key version for Piano style. And because of tha failure with the P9000Pro launch and the money they lost on it, it took until Tyros 5 before they dared put a 76key version on the market again. Look at what a Wersi cost today... Totally hillarious price for what it does. In Denmark an OAX 700 cost as much as starting Price of a Mercedes or Audi A6 .. totally nutters. And the reason they are so expensive is not the features .. its because they have to be so expensive for the company to make any money on it. Its a very small club of people who has the money to buy them, and 80% of those that has the money only have them because they can afford the showoff it is to have a big console organ at home. They can't even play very well.
You could build a custom case, put the Genos on top and add a Fatar keybed, eg a Piano 88key as lower manual and buy a Midi Pedal board, tho a 25/30key Viscount pedal board is also kinda pricey. But It would still be around 1/4th - 1/5th of what eg an OAX700 would cost you, and honestly .. Yamaha does about 80% of its sound and features far better than a Wersi imho. But the HX1 can't really be missed .. at that point Yamaha had already lost the touch of making purdy Organs.. :( The FX-20 is the last well sounding an pretty Console organ they made. AR100 also both sounded well and looked good, but its not a real Console organ. These Organs did sound so nice and was kind of the last that had a good organ sound. the later HS, EL models had better sampled voices, but the FS/FX series is still far superior imo :) Low sound quality recording but hose that remember these instruments know how well they actually sounded :) ruclips.net/video/DaVPcs4nuwY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/rIvtZXBxw54/видео.html
mrdali67 Thanks for your responses. After my HX1 I moved to the AT100, sounds were better but it never matched the playability of the HX1. When it came time to upgrade Yamaha had abandoned the market. I was encouraged to cobble something together with Tyros, a stand and a pedalboard. I thought at the time, and still do really, that Tyros looked like a toy, although the sounds and styles were excellent. I liked the Roland AT90S but it felt a bit outdated. Just at that time the AT900 came out, this appeared to meet all my needs. I bought the 900C. I still have it. The quality of sounds and styles in the Genos and Korg4ax interests me of course but I am quite happy with AT900C really. I can improve my playing a lot more without any further upgrade in equipment, although all the new facilities for rhythm, styles, accompaniment, sample voices, voice accompaniment, including using my own (and in tune!), are very attractive. The Wersi solution, and Böhm before, seems perfect, but the price is ridiculous. It is nice to see and listen to but way beyond any normal home organist. I’ll just stick with what I have for now and continue to improve my playing and repertoire.
I think its more important to use an instrument (or instruments) that inspires you and that you like to play than focusing on tech only. There is a fair amount of old Organ models that is simply amazing to play, no matter they are outdated tech and soundwise. I still wish I hadn't sold my FS-70 wich is the best organ I have ever had. But my problem was at that time we didn't have the internet and there were no midi in th FS-FX models. Today it propably wouldn't be a problem to outfit it with a scannerboard, and the FS-70 was around 125kg so kinda heavy to drag around. Remember starting out with a PSR6300 and a used DW8000 for gigs and the PSR6300 really was a toy only and were fast dished for a better Roland E-series
Today I am still using my old P9000Pro .. yeah the Tyros line sounds better, I never upgraded it because I really thaought the first T 1-3 wasn't really a big upgrade from the P9000. the base samplings were still the same with the added Mega voices. Recently added a Mojo61 and that has really made me want to buy a full size midi pedalboard for home use, but eg. the viscount 25/30 key models cost more than even a 2 manual Mojo, so kinda looking for a cheap pedalboard from a scrapped organ and make a DYI midi interface. I really dig the Mojo61. has a nice keybed and beside the vb3 organ has some great Rhodes, Wurly and Clavi sounds
What a pity, that a $5,500 keyboard is marketed as a workstation(yet has the same shit-ass performance recorder as the PSR-S670.)The Genos's recording functions are garbage(no multiple insert effects for the tracks,no pattern recording & no copy & paste function.)The very limited recording functions on the Genos,is merely a sketch pad for laying down ideas. What is the friggin' point of having any sort of recording at all?Surely...for $5,500...the Genos comes with Cubase...doesn't it?
I didn't know what you meant by oversaturated then I listened to the video. Peter Baartman is a brilliant pianist/keyboardist and I'm very surprised he did hear it and turn down the volume knob. BTW Philo a Genos where I live Nova Scotia costs over $7,000 plus 15% tax. One thing I am lucky with, when I get a Genos, I am not interested in recording anything.
Doint like the shapes some of these new keyboards there hard to put on some keyboard stands I had this problem whin I bought my yamaha moxf6 I use a on stage A frame stand and could not put it in the middle becuse it would just slide off I like the GENOS but looks like a surfboard.
YAMAHA Master Product and Top of the Line Instrument by all measures. However; hope that Yamaha makes GENOS Oriental, Five Octaves with all the standard Arabic Oriental Styles and Instruments Sounds, plus a Quarter Tone Scale built on the Dash Board itself but not on the LCD Screen.
@@uservinc thanks, yes I saw it too. However Fragile sounds different when played by Sting. He is using his chords but a different arrangement. Never mind, thanks
Yamaha should be updating their Latin styles. They keep carrying from one keyboard to the next one with the same Latin styles! That’s a turn off for me...
There will never be another like the late Peter Baartmans. R.I.P Peter.
Peter Baartmans presentations are great, the only thing I have to say about this video in particular is to the editor of this video, YOU HAVE CLEARED THE SOUND!!! Peter fantastic as always and Genos an incredible keyboard !!!!!
An incredible musician and Yamaha's best-ever demonstrator of arranger pianos and keyboards. R.I.P. Peter - 2024.
Listening from the UK as I have followed Peter Baartmans for 10 years plus. A legend.
Peter is truly in a class all by himself. Fantastic x10
Really enjoyed listening to Genos sounds. Peter Baartmans is amazing.
Bravo Peter Baartmans you are one of the best youtube keyboard players its always fun to listen to Your playing i have the poor man's genos the psr 970
I'm buying my Genos in February of next year - can't wait!! so excited!!
Amazing keyboard,i really enjoy when play with my Genos.
Peter is still amazing, my favorite part perhaps is the fast gypsy guitar piece at about 40:00.
Yamaha Genos ben ik geen fan van. Maar Peter Baardmans.. Onomstotelijk in 1 woord met Yamaha genoemd. En met recht. Al 35 jaar geleden genoot ik van zijn demonstrates. Toppie Peter.
The best Yamaha keybords seller in the world, Peter Barthmans 🖒
I love that he showed many of the voices and styles that my PSRE443 has.
Sir.... you did good job... May GOD bless you.. you are playing Amazing ...!!!
The virtuose playing of Peter is totally distroyed by the heaviliy distorted sound recording.
Terrible. I hate clipping!!
Otherwise beautiful piece.
No its not totally destroyed.
just turn the volume down a bit
..and it's fine.
Peter is the greatest! Like always
Le preneur de son est un champion du monde 👌👏👏
Incredible sound quality built in Six Octaves Keyboard, almost like a grand piano in a portable version !
Beautiful arrangement and intro.

Glad it was mentioned about the sound being very badly balanced, as I thought it was my Apple TV Box was faulty.
Brilliant demonstration. 👏 👏 👏 👏

He killed IT wow good job men we bought recently i wish if i can combine like you. Thank you
The man is a master, sorry about the Poor recording levels.
Инструмент потрясающий! Спасибо!
под стать музыканту, в его руках этот инструмент действительно потрясающий ❤) Вечная память ему!
Gracias Richad Clayderman si esto es lo mejor de lo mejor
nice demo but the sound was clipping as hell
for sure
Yes it was. Clipping is horrible!
Fantastic demo Peter. I got the Genos and lost my sleep😀😀😀
great demo of such top notch arranger ...
¿Cuantos sonidos se pueden combinar alavez en la mano derecha .?
It depends on the musician which synthesizer to choose.
Bad sound Recording , :-(
Aye have to agree, instrument producer promoting instrument with shitty audio is just wrong
yes ! need listen video before post it !!
I have been reading that they are having problems with the recording and editing functions on the touchscreen
Wonder what the didjeridoo and the click sticks and gumleaf inserted into this amazing instrument
Reminds me of the late 80's 'flagship' arranger workstations psr6700/PSR5700. just ordered the s975....its the Genos at 1/3 the cost!
Amazing keyboard but even more amazing is Peter, this man has unreal keyboard skills. I love the Yamaha but I’m really impressed by Peter’s keyboard skill. 👍👍
So, do you have to be a virtuoso to use this keyboard. This was not a Demo but rather a show off.

What is the name of the piece that he played at the end of the video?
It would be nice if Yamaha made a portable module version of the Genos for musicians who travel a lot.
Ketron does it with the Event keyboard.
I hope the leslie can be assigned to operate by footswitch

EXCELENT DEMOSTRATION. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR LATIN MUSIC WITH THIS INSTRUMENT....
no Indan instrument sound?
“This sound is very, very clear” - unless recorded and played here. 😬
nice play and nice genos to
Does it come with the onboard 8-track quality player too?
Nice demo, but bad sound at beginning, starts at 3m45s. Please reload video with good balanced audio!
How about the bass slides in accompaniment while playing styles. ? Like a natural bass slide while starting a song
These are part of the Mega Voice.
Peter ist the best!!!
What a pity. Nice demo but the audio recording is oversaturated 🙁
True
What a pity, that a $5,500 keyboard is marketed as a workstation(yet has the same shit-ass performance recorder as the PSR-S670.)The Genos's recording functions are garbage(no multiple insert effects for the tracks,no pattern recording & no copy & paste function.)The very limited recording functions on the Genos,is merely a sketch pad for laying down ideas. What is the friggin' point of having any sort of recording at all?Surely...for $5,500...the Genos comes with Cubase...doesn't it?

I love it !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
best Key ever !
I wish I could have it in my small apartment..it's fantastic! Is it suitable for a 17m room?
There is a volume knob on it and you can wear headphones if you want. So why would that not be possible ?
What instrument/sound he played at 17:56
Hi.. at 17:56 he played the Yamaha DX7 sound. 'Glassy' sound, very popular in 1980s.
Genos....love it...now I trade my tyros5 for you...try it once in the showroom.....
How's it's Lowrey organ?
Whether a genos or a tyros, the product will sell because peter baartsman can sell🦋
Thanks
Sir.. I just want know this keyboard full Edit able..??? like korg pa workstation...????
Hy kann mir jemand sagen wie das erste Lied heißt,Danke lg
How I can get this piano!!? And how much complete cost
Baartman returns
First song?
Hi , Yamaha genos is a synthetizer too . Can i use
Rest in peace
Syncro stop ?
Genos ist der Nachfolger on Tyros 5 so werden die Kunden von Yamaha vorgeführt !
What is the cost in rupees

Super Bellisimo
Great demo as always Peter, but shoot the cameraman modulation set too high.
Nice Videorecording and surley a nice Präsentation, but the Audio-Quality is too bad.................. :(
wow nice...music..;]
It's a shame that the organs starting at around 38:17 aren't on the PSR-SX600 or 700.
Update Yamaha genos with 61 keys and it's Same feature like this keyboard so much
Does somebody knows which song starting at 18:21. Or sound it's similar to some song? Thanks
Through the fire Chaka Kahn
Its still the sax the nightmare of every keyboard manufacturer, they just can't make them sound real, its always that synthetic sound feel.
Mexlycan Filmico u seriously don’t think the Sax doesn’t sound authentic? Wow.
19:00 minutes onwards it sounds really good. Imagine hearing this on the radio? You wouldn’t think it’s real?
Mexlycan Filmico q
The sax sample on my Wersi OAX is much more realistic (in my opinion)
the sax is stunning, but tbh it has only been slightly tweaked each time since tyros 2 lol
finally Yamaha has piano sounds right
It's the CFX Grand, I think it was actually introduced in Yamaha Montage.
The Leslie simulation sounds terrible. Did they only record audio from one channel?
Apparently so. Those Yamaha Tyros 4 and subsequent Arranger synths like this one sound distorted , unless played in Stereo . 😖☹️
Drums are so loud that the music is drowned out.

Thx.
I want to know this also, do you already know the name of the song?
@@mjdb71 hi,
It is fragile
@@uservinc thanks, yes I saw it too. However Fragile sounds different when played by Sting. He is using his chords but a different arrangement. Never mind, thanks
well demoed as usual, peter is awesome, but MIC sound is bad like hell, and recorded sound is not good at all, very bad :(
Timur Sakka very nice
that's true...

Fix the sound, he is fired definitely
Yamaha should be updating their Latin styles. They keep carrying from one keyboard to the next one with the same Latin styles! That’s a turn off for me...
Tears for Fears - Shout (33:41)
Ganz böser Sound !
Amazing performance. The recording is very bad... be aware form distortion
Kann ich leider nicht verstehen, ein Wunderbares Instrument. Und dann die Audio-Aufnahme total übersteuert.
Audio fail !!!!
Very nice demo
Audio is mono and clips a lot! :(
