- Tel Aviv, Israel was ranked as the most expensive city in the world. I don't think this is accurate, so I decided to go around the city and find out what it's really like. Come along!

Love you dude! Soon as I get regular income you're the top of the list!

I really mean it though, next time you're in England you have a place in York!

Jews need to be going to their Real HOMELAND.

The most underrated youtuber, i like the interviews you do to see how real people live in different courntires, its super informative
Thank you :)
That dude who showed you his place, what a chill person.
Love him. We exchanged numbers
Man, thank you for humanizing everyone in a sea of nothing but negativity in this conflict. I'm Palestinian that rarely has the chance to even talk to Israelis as I'm overseas now, but even in my village, the only contact we had been soldiers at check points. I have been sharing these videos with everyone I know because it's important to understand how we're all just fighting to survive the daily grind and this conflict makes it worse for all of us.

Oh what the future holds
And that’s the truth!❤
Same here in Canada you make a higher pay but your mortgage or housing rental is even higher than you can even paid !! So most every one is house poor only the rich elite and some middle class can buy but even middle class is down sizing on house now !!

Another popular youtuber Corey Gil Shuster who goes around Israel & the PA asking questions asked Israelis which country they'd most like to visit & Lebanon was one of the top responses (for me too). If Lebanon got rid of Hezbollah militias & just let the Lebanese army be in charge, there would be peace soon.

His name is Alon Olearchik from KAVERET Band.
Local member of the Beatles, in essence.

Loved this video Salukie, you definitely have a way with people that makes them comfortable chatting to you randomly… a real skill for any traveler to have.
Welcome back Dave! Been missing your comments. Glad you liked it :)
So true! Israelis love making friends! Infact that's the glue of the nation that is so attractive to us westerners! The warmth & emotional connection with complete strangers that end up being life term family like relationships! Love that about you guys!
we appreciate it! thanks
I live in Sydney, Australia born and raised here we used to be alot like this but I don't know what happened. We are friendly but not this friendly lol . The people are very warm like you said
@@jessethepersiankitty2377 true, aussie are great, but we were colonised by England & mainly the u.k.. I could be wrong but find there is an inability to express emotion & affection, especially among men. It's like something is cloaking us as a civilisation. Every nation has its flaws & beauty's, but Israel truly is unique in the way the are centralised around the "awareness" of God.. with a true love & pursuit of Him, regardless of what lense they express this, plus their moral value for the family & especially children. Family & children & living life is of great value, so it's more of a collective experience rather than "live for myself" selfish living we tend to cultivate in the west. - these are general statements and obviously don't include all peoples views. But, it's the imprints on culture that do shape us without knowing. I truly love the Israeli spirit & learn alot from exposure to their culture & mindsets

$2100 for that big Tel Aviv apartment with 4+ rooms, 2 levels & the balconies is a steal. No way would you get so much floor space for that price in NYC.
It's a good deal (for TLV)
I live here... I was shocked as well.. that was really cheap for Tel Aviv. You can easily see a dump in Tel Aviv for that price.
Been binge watching for days and finally subscribed today. Love your content and love Israel, Tel Aviv seems exactly like a place I would like to live in. I hope to visit someday.
Thank you and welcome aboard :)
Excellent video. You make me feel as if I'm there with you. I love the style of videos you do. Keep on doing what your doing😀👍👋

This has got to be one of your best videos! The Israeli society is fascinating. As for the prices, they are insanely high. But at least I know when to expect when I visit, haha. Though it's interesting to note that a falafel costs almost the same (around 5 USD), at least where I live in northern Philippines. This video also shows your linguistic prowess, as far as I know, you are speaking at least 4 languages here! Impressive!!
Salamat po!
After watching a couple of your videos, finally am subscribing

Very good video, I was last in Tel Aviv in 1966 there was only one highrise building, I lived in Ramat Gan which was country back then, near the park and zoo. Things have really changed, and the prices. thank you so much for that video.
Thanks for watching!

44 Years ago i lived in north Tel Aviv but had friends in south Tel Aviv. Then that was a fine area with old fashioned apartments on the inside looking like old 1900 German/Austrian apartments. Very atmospheric. Area was very lively. I loved it. Especially the area surrounding the then central bus station. (no longer existing. חבל). Also was it all very safe. Many times people did not even lock their front doors after leaving the house. The step or bike being stolen was unheard of. Junkies ? We had those 40+ years ago in Amsterdam (where i live) not in Tel Aviv. In those days drugs were almost unheard of. I’m getting old. Was 21 then. Had a boyfriend in the army. Now 65. 😢. מה לעשת

@@theSalukie - נורה
What about all
The Palestinians that died and you cooked out of those apartments??
Wow... I've been to Israel before the pandemic and I only remember that everything with meat was expensive.... but now the "cheapest" grocery store seems to be more expensive than in Monaco .
if hasnt changed that much since the pandy
it isn't the cheapest because it's "in the hood".
Israel in general is so expensive compared to other countries in the world. I've lived in the US differeent states and it wasn't that expensive. Also, if you don't own a car and live outside of big cities in israel, puplic transportation is shit.
Love your videos, i'm a new subscriber currently living in Israel, thanks for creating these amazing videos.
Thank you so much, and welcome aboard!

Thanks for the visit
Actually been to both Zurich and Reykjavik and lived in Tel Aviv for 4 years, and Tel Aviv is starting to surpass them both 😭(moved to Holon because the rent is so insane for shoebox garbage apartments). And unlike here, the salaries there are almost 3 times higher. And it’s so funny to see you film in Montifiory where I lived for a year 😅
Saludos hermano,buen video👍❗❗❗
gracias bro!
That guys apartment was super nice for that price. I am in Washington State and a place like that would be probably $4000.
as Saudi i never thought Israel like that
In what aspect did it surprise you?
@@theSalukie I thought it was like Mecca in Saudi Arabia, just religious place, sorry For my ignorance plz do more videos like that also if you can get Natural places or farms I'm really interested in how they look , Also i see you in iraq and other Arab countries, any chance you come to gcc country?
Oh i see bro. Well, there are certain parts that are like Mecca.
I would love to go to a GCC country, in fact Saudi Arabia specifically has my interest. But these countries are expensive and i cant afford a trip like that
@@theSalukieMore expensive than Tel Aviv/Israel? 😅
In Tel Aviv i dont have to pay for accommodation, so yes
I've been watching for over a year and I am just waiting for when you just fly up into the million subscribers numbers!
The content is just phenomenal.
We need this more and more today.
I just missed you when you were in England last time. But the next time you have a place here, my friend! York. Let me know. Who knows?
But overall showing all sides just keeps showing me that... People are people!?!?.
Whilst forces try to deny us the knowledge that we are all brothers, there are at least channels which smash down these daft ideas.
Thankyou!
Sababa video!!! Do you think you will make one of Tzfat?
You should make a video asking people whether they're planning to emigrate from here, simply because of the cost of living, politics, climate, general geopolitics situation and so on. I know that Facebook is filled with posts of Israelis discussing it. I think it would be interesting to hear stuff like that straight from random people.
good idea bro, thanks!

Authentic and entertaining as always @The Salukie.
Thank you :)
Shalom from Southern California! $2400-$2700 for a 3 bed room is a steal around where I live. But as others said the local salary there isn’t equal to our salaries in proportion to cost of living.
It’s like saying Cortona, Italy is cheap, when really the local wages are quite a bit low in proportion.
I’m hoping there can be peace soon, I would love to visit Israel
The first tour of th apt- would be about the same price for rent in the southwest US (which is known to b more pricy) Great video!!!!

Thanks for mentioning Lebanon. I'm actually wanting to make a similar channel about Lebanon. It would be a freak show of bottomless dysfunction, and how you can find beauty, humanity and honesty in the most unexpected places. I just love your videos, thinking of making Aliya someday, and I like learning about all the different places and the ethnicities of Israel. Since I’m Greek, guess I’ll be heading up to Haifa, heard that’s where all the Greeks live, and I’ve also heard great things about Tsfat. And Miskeret BATYA.

why is it so expensive there? Salary is high too to compensate for the high prices?
