My thoughts on this for the people who say burning the body, i.e.: cremation, is sinful, then what do they say about bodies that were consumed by fire in circumstances such as a house fire, a vehicle crash, an aircraft crash, or soldiers who died in such crashes, explosions, flame-throwers, or whose bodies were burned to desecrate them etc.? Those were innocent or life saving actions in war times etc.. Certainly folks wouldn't believe that these people were going to hell for something that they had no control over or was done to preserve the lives of others. Our spirits will be called up and clothed with a new eternal Heavenly body such as Adam and Eve had before the fall.
Robert Lee thank you for your wonderful comment which I'm sure will give many peace about such issues. my mom and I chose cremation, mom passed 2 years ago, mine is bought and paid for. we also do not believe in memorials, we always agreed that NOW is the time to remember me with "I love yous and flowers I can see and smell, not when I'm dead and conscious of nothing at all"
Melbourne, Australia. +Robert. At the end of the day, it all depends on whether you have a religion or not, or you are following your religion strictly or not, and what your religion asks you to do.
Im getting cremated and I'm a Christian...i have kids i want my kids to remember me when they last saw me happy not in a casket it will be harder for my kids ...i love God ..i know he won't jugde me because im choosing cremation..he loves me
You do what seems right to you. The bible is silent on cremation or burial. The only scripture I can find for burial is in Genesis. There were several cremations in the bible although some of them were not very nice. You do what you believe is correct.
There are no laws in the Bible against cremation. ^_^ Without burial, we'd all decompose and fertilize the earth anyway. The reason why people choose burial is because they believe that in the second resurrection, we would actually need our bodies to come back. But even if our bones were left behind, the flesh would be gone. There is nothing in the Bible that says we would need to preserve our bodies to any degree in order to be resurrected. Even if any ancient texts were lost and not included in the Bible we know today, we were all created to return to dust so it definitely stands to reason that we don't actually need to retain any human component of ourselves in order for this resurrection to occur.
Absent of the body present with the Lord, if you're Christian and you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, cremation will not stop you from getting back to your father in heaven, and I don't have any money to pay for a burial, so what else can I do but trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive him as my Lord and Savior.
Thank you for this video ... as my brother has just recently passed and we chose cremation for him - I was second doubting if that was the right choice. Your video here helped me to be at peace with our choice. Thank YOU.
I had my baby boy cremated as the thought of leaving his body in the ground all alone was too much to bare. I still feel like he's here with me although his remains are in an urn
I to lost my beautiful son King Joseph "JoJo", at the tender age of 23, in 03-18, my only child. I do know and understand your pain sister in Christ, I will pray for your peace to continue to grow, Amen. I to cremated my son, and this video has put my heart at easy. Stay blessed.....
There's an old superstition that if there is no entire body in the ground, God somehow can't resurrect it on the Last Day. Kinda puts a limit on His power. It's not something to be concerned about. Treat loved ones with respect and dispose of it in a dignified manner.
Yea but if your poor only cremation but only thing counts you believe in God the father and Jesus the lord so you have your family won't be responsible for your furneal specially if your family poor there self's our family our selfish our cruel
Cremation is the correct way to treat your love one's after they die.. On judgements day it's our souls that will be judged. God reconiises us by our soul not by our body.
I know this video is already 10 yrs old, but this is well-explained. Thank you very much. Especially this year 2020, when Covid-19 took so many lives. Many people across the world have not been given a decent burial & many loved ones didn’t even have the chance to mourn & grieve for their loss.
My memory will live on with my children or loved ones who will continue their lives after me. My body will have nothing to do with me once I am gone so I hope I can choose to be cremated and leave space for those whose wish to be buried.
In 1Corin.13:3, and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be (Burned) and have not charity , it profits me nothing. (It 's spoken in a positive manner)!
I thought the quote was ''only begotten son'' not ''one and only son'' ( which are pretty much the same meaning ) well anyway, thanks for the clarification on this issue and thanks for the share. ;)
My German shepherd has recently passed away and he was cremated. I do believe that I will see my buddy in heaven, because it truly wouldn’t be paradise if he wasn’t there. He was part of my family and my BEST friend. I was just stressed out A LOT, because of the fact that he was cremated. I truly thank you for this, because you really put my mind at ease.
Thank you brother for your good kind & helpful words, they have been of great help to me and to some of my family & friends, thank you for posting this enlightening video. May God continue to bless you and your family. Your brother in Christ
this was by far the best explanation on this subject I have ever heard, a question I’ve had for a long time weather or not to be cremated, thank you for this video.
I'm going to be cremated. Is there anything wrong with having my ashes scattered? I want 1/2 to be sent into space and 1/2 to be scattered over the train tracks here in the town I live in. Is there anything wrong with that ? Just asking. Have a great day everyone
I agree with absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. I can't see spend thousands and thousands of dollars to be put in the ground when my family needs the money to live on after I'm gone. I want to be cremated when I'm gone. I don't want to be selfish at the end of my journey. We have always been a deep loving family despite our differences, and we have always been a giving family, we have never been rich as far as wealth fortune and fame, but we are rich because Jesus CHRIST lives in us. We love the Lord more than we love the world. We love each and every person in the world, but we are not to be comformed to the world. We love your soul and we do care about you, just not in a worldly fashion.
I don't have much money and I refuse to burdon my survivors with the cost of disposing of my body after I die, therefore I'm planning on either the cheapest pre paid cremation I can find or donate my body to science and get a free cremation.
You hit the nail on the head . People always talk about "what god said" when in fact he never said anything. It was the folks in the culture of the time that stuff was written, that said it.
May I say we get to heaven based on receiving and believing on the one who has the words of eternal life- Jesus Christ. Those that walk in the light which are his commands to the end of their life will be saved on the last day- @ the 1st resurrection of the elect @ His 2nd coming!
I lost my baby brother last year hewas only 45 years old I had to get him creamated cause he didn't have life insurance and I didn't have the money for a funeral or even a vault or casket I'm so bad
thank you for teaching this with such tenderness .my daughter had to cremate her baby cause the funeral was to expensive .she worried about her choice.
does that mean that life will just go on like life does now, from generation and on and on, is that what jesus ment about enternal life, im so confused i believe in jesus christ just confused.
Personally, I think that life on earth will go on until such time when God decides to finally destroy it. As written in the Bible, we will all ressurrect, body & soul & all those who believe in Him will go to heaven (wherever that may be) & the non-believers will be in Hell (again, wherever that may be). However, once we ressurect, we become angels in heaven and we take on a new identity. Who we are right now, is not what we are anymore when we get there. It’s a place of eternal worship, everlasting happiness, and thus, it only makes sense that we lose our identities. Because our personal identity is just an earthly status. In heaven, we are all children of God. No race, no gender, no more individual families, but we are all one in praising & living with God as His children.
I have to remind to you that nobody knows for sure. But what if one's awareness continues its presence in the dead body? What if my soul gets trapped if my family don't cremate my body? If there's no difference in terms of being judged by God, then please be cautious and cremate your loved ones once they are dead. In my country, it is illegal to cremate dead bodies, because it is haram (practical, legal, and physically-punishable version of sin). But if you have the chance to cremate your loved ones, do it and be grateful for the amount of freedom that you have.
Now I have a question I would like to ask reading what I have to say. If a family member dies and the family is on a tight budget, wouldn't it be cheaper to have that love one cremated then be put in a casket? Plus if that person has it in his or her will to be cremated, should that dead body have that right to choose? Plus caskets are very heavy even when 6 guys are carrying it to it's final destination.Would it be worth having somebody dislocate a shoulder to help carry a casket with a dead body in it? Who wants to answer me?
Thank you brother, for bringing clarity to this important decision. I pray the Lord leads me and us all, in the best decision. Keep up the good work and may God bless you and yours!
Perfect explanation. Dust to dust and ashes to ashes. The Lord, nor Y'shua provide us any guidance as to how to rid our bodies after physical death! Guidance is for the living. Thank you for sharing, brother!
My mother wants us to cremate her she said if we Bury her she'll come back to haunt us. None of that will ever happen she's spiteful, she will die after me.😲
I have a pinch of my niece’s cremains mixed into the ink of a memorial tattoo in her honor. I will be doing the same thing with a pinch of my beloved hound’s cremains.
To me god cares about the soul which never dies ...... the body is just a vessel.... I personally believe it doesn’t matter
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Our bodies are not our souls. Bodies are simply over coats that eventually expire for a variety of reasons.
Robert Lee Well at the funeral when the preacher is done speaking he says and I quote ( "Ashes to Ashes Dust to Dust")
Also, people who have certain diseases like AIDS have to be cremated.
Melbourne, Australia. +Robert. At the end of the day, it all depends on whether you have a religion or not, or you are following your religion strictly or not, and what your religion asks you to do.
Thank you for this video. To be absent from the body, is to be with the Lord no matter what means of burial is chosen.
Your quote is out of context. When a person dies no one goes to heaven or hell, they go exactly where the Bible says they go - to sleep, John 11.
Im getting cremated and I'm a Christian...i have kids i want my kids to remember me when they last saw me happy not in a casket it will be harder for my kids ...i love God ..i know he won't jugde me because im choosing cremation..he loves me

That's right! People put way to much emphasis on the body.
Sometimes there are no finances for a proper burial and the only option is cremation.
Jesus said "The flesh profits nothing" (John 6:63)
Absent of the body present with the Lord, if you're Christian and you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, cremation will not stop you from getting back to your father in heaven, and I don't have any money to pay for a burial, so what else can I do but trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive him as my Lord and Savior.
I am a Christian and a retired mortician. I appreciate this video very much. Thank you.
Can you be buried and not have your body preserved with formaldehyde?
Thank you for this video ... as my brother has just recently passed and we chose cremation for him - I was second doubting if that was the right choice. Your video here helped me to be at peace with our choice. Thank YOU.
I had my baby boy cremated as the thought of leaving his body in the ground all alone was too much to bare. I still feel like he's here with me although his remains are in an urn
Im so sorry, i can't comprehend the thought of loosing my Son. 😪
I was blessed by this Video..Praise God!
You know if God would've gave a commandment for burial it would've created 6,000 more denominations :)
I just want to be wrapped up in my favorite blanket and be buried on the ground. No casket.
Me too

I agree with you that life eternal with Jesus Christ is the answer to the question of what should happen to us after the death of a body. Thank you.
I Really needed to hear this! Thank you so much for making this video!!!...💜💙💚💛🧡❤️ God Bless everyone!!!
Cremation is the correct way to treat your love one's after they die.. On judgements day it's our souls that will be judged. God reconiises us by our soul not by our body.

It is my wish to be cremated but just wanted to know if it's accepted by God himself through his Son Jesus Christ AMEN..... 😇✝️😇
I'm deathly afraid of being buried alive. I hope it's ok to be cremated.
Thank you for this video and contributing something positive to RUclips.
Thanks for your comment! We’re glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you so much, a gracious explanation, this has helped me settle. Blessings from Scotland
very good point some church told that creamate is sinful with no scripture reference.
In 1Corin.13:3, and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be (Burned) and have not charity , it profits me nothing. (It 's spoken in a positive manner)!

thanks for the right one...
Thank you brother for your good kind & helpful words, they have been of great help to me and to some of my family & friends, thank you for posting this enlightening video. May God continue to bless you and your family. Your brother in Christ
dust you came from and dust you. shall returned that means bury not burn
This is a great. Thank you.
Glad it blessed you!
this was by far the best explanation on this subject I have ever heard, a question I’ve had for a long time weather or not to be cremated, thank you for this video.
Maria, we’re so glad you found this video helpful! God bless!
Appreciate your non biased analysis of the history
My mother is a wonderful mother The biggest Diamond of my life so Jesus is with her Forever and I willtake care of them AMÉM!!
GOD BLESS ALL CHRISTIANS.
The burial of corpses and their subsequent degradation may pose a risk of pollution of groundwater

Christ's resurrection was the ultimate form of cremation because he left no body behind on this planet.
You hit the nail on the head . People always talk about "what god said" when in fact he never said anything. It was the folks in the culture of the time that stuff was written, that said it.
Good response on your video, thank you! God bless!
Rich
God Bless You❤️ Amen
In the end, all bodies return to dust whether they are buried or cremated. It is not important. What is important is what you have mentioned.
Thank you !
I would like to be buried if I should go before Jesus comes. Mrs. Ashley
Thanks for the video. Very informative.
Thank you for the video
Excellent commentary. Thank you, Pastor.

Excellent
good video....answeres my questions.

That was a very good video
Excellence biblical truth.

In Amos ch 2 it says that God was angry because they dishonored the king of Edom by burning his body. Can you clarify this.
Im a simple man, i just want to be mummified, burried in a tradional viking grave and have no gravestone. 🤷🏻♂️
Here in February 2021
We're glad you're here!

Dislocating a shoulder for carring a casket with loved ones in seems like pure love to me. ❤
why would anyone want to be burned to ashes???????????
Really, where???
Thank you brother, for bringing clarity to this important decision. I pray the Lord leads me and us all, in the best decision.

So cremation is not sin?
🙏

I will be doing the same thing with a pinch of my beloved hound’s cremains.
Yes or no would be great, history on past isn't really answering the question...
bones always stay there they do not burn up.
Sorry to say but when your bones reach a certain heat it turns to dust
