About Emeroy:
Emeroy is a professional dancer and entrepreneur based out of Los Angeles, CA.
He's been dancing since the age of 8 and has been teaching since 2004. He's danced and toured with international companies such as Culture Shock, Antics, and Movin' On Up Productions, performed for the Los Angeles Rose Parade, LA Sparks, and the LA Clippers, and is a two time City of Alhambra B-Boy Champion, 2017 Prelude Las Vegas Champion, and 2021 MaxtOut All Styles Winner.
When he isn't dancing, Emeroy runs a digital marketing agency called Vision Paradox. They've successfully helped musicians and tech companies build their online platforms, build their email list, sell out shows, and gain millions of views on their content. Their goal is to do the heavy lifting of marketing so their clients can focus on their business. - Хобби
"Why so farrrr????"
1. Because there are already videos scheduled. I post K-Pop reaction videos on Monday and Wednesday only. This gives me an opportunity to share the other content i'm passionate about for this channel.
2. Releasing content like this allows me to keep the channel consistent and focus on other projects other than trying to keep a daily youtube schedule since I run two businesses. It's all a part of my quarterly releases. Which you can see here: airtable.com/shrkUSn8a34srUFLh. (Patrons get access to the master lists, and early releases)
3. Traditional studios and movies promote their content months in advance prior to the premiere to help build anticipation. The public already knows the date of when these movies are coming out. I know I'm no big-time studio, but why can't I take a similar approach to my content?

It was later revealed that their CEO almost didn't allow the couch idea but they believed they could pull if off so Hoshi and their performance director even made a whole presentation to explain it and finally got it approved. And then it won them their first music video win! It really made them stand out because there weren't many (any?) groups that used big props like at the time for regular music shows, they really lugged that couch to like 5 shows a week or sth ahahahaha
Dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In case you didn’t see when researching/looking up this song, there’s a second dance practice taken from behind the couch! It shows how they pull off some of the tricks having people appear and disappear behind the couch, and the guys are clearly just having fun with it.
Yes! watch the video of Pretty U (behind) on SVT official channel here: ruclips.net/video/0iPOkrx9aQY/видео.html 😉
"it's so dumb but it's so good" applies to a lot of things in kpop tbh 😭
i'm not sure if somebody in chat already said this but pretty u is a song that is very precious to both seventeen and carats as it's the song that got seventeen their first music show win! up until pretty u the boys didn't even have in-ears because they couldn't afford them and the win with pretty u really opened some new doors. they were so young back then and they've come so far argh i'm proud
Seventeen LOVED promoting pretty u because it meant they finally had enough couches to have everyone rest in their waiting room :'D
Good times
In the Melon premiere showcase of that song Joshua (center on the second chorus) is one beat early and they all improvise to follow him. Its so smooth that if you dont know the choreo by heart you dont notice the mistake.
Funny part is, that mistake was later made part of the choreo for the last promotions xD
Like you said Shua was early but the rest were doing the choreo at the right time, they didn't improvised
Fun fact. They came up with the couch choreo while playing around while waiting in a waffle shop.
LOL.I am having MMTG flashbacks. That's it, I'm rewatching the episode.
some back stories for pretty u!
hoshi and the choreographers he's working with were kinda in a 'choreographer's block' during this time, so they went out to eat in a restau to clear up their mind a little, then they choreograph the couch parts in the couch at the restau while waiting for their food lol
ps. blessed be saint veronica of carats AMEN
Hoshi and their choreographer hyung went to eat waffles while thinking what to do with their choreo . while sitting on a sofa they started doing some weird moves and suddenly get an idea to use sofa in the choreo but the ceo don't think it will be good at first so hoshi and their choreographer did a briefing to convince the ceo.
Lol at 10:33 Vernon was like “excuse me sir we’re closing” *pulls sofa away*🤣
You will never run out of Seventeen content! Those boys are prolific! There are several other versions of the cafe practice you could check out. They have some great old school stuff like "Wild Eyes" that will leave you scratching your head. Enjoy it all!!
about dk gliding across the back of the couch in the beginning, (they have a video of this shot from behind if you wanna see it yourself but) he's basically just standing with his legs far enough apart so he didnt need to use them lol it's funny to see from behind
"Pretty U" was peak theater kids Seventeen and I love it all the more for it.
Thank you Veronica, patron saint of Carats! 😁
my fave type of dance moves in kpop are those that when u see it you're like "wth that looks dumb" but then u realise it just FITS SO WELL and when u hear that part of the song u have to physically suppress urself from dancing it (i.e. the foot tapping and arm swinging in the chorus) HAHAHA
THIS IS THEIR BEST TITLE TRACK AND BEST SONG IN GENERAL I WILL DEFEND PRETTY U WITH MY LIFE
7:51 YESS I AGREE! It was their smiles and look of enjoyment that got me into them. I just kept watching this performance over and over again because their happy smiles made me happy and the song is so fun!
Pretty U is the Song that made me a carat 😭 just sharing ☺️
“Wow another great one.” I love the way you praise every Seventeen video, because they deserve it!❤️❤️❤️
seventeen walked so weeekly could run
I really love when you react to their choreos. It's really an honor to be their fan. I hope more people will notice how amazing they are💗
Honest question - what Seventeen practice/performance do you NOT like as a choreographer? I love them all! Their performances are on a different level and that is how they become my ult over BTS. (I still love BTS, though! I'm watching them in Vegas! lol)
off topic but ohmygod this was so long ago carats didn't even have a proper lightstick yet everyone was just using the like seventeen con ones wow
if u havent noticed, the beginning is a theatre curtain opening. just like the beginning of mansae where they imitate a stage lift (like concert intros).
People, has he done Fear yet? I can’t remember.
Thank you for always reacting to seventeen :)))
The fact that Joshua changed the main coreo cuz his little mistake 🤣
I forever love Pretty U, and the choreography is so much fun and so lovely.
Seventeen is one of the groups brought the industry one step upper.
To me this 'pretty u' choreo and and 'crazy love' are like a magic show to me.How many performance video did i watch just to know how jeonghan squeeze in that small space,😁😁😁💎❤
Thank you for having them here❤
This is probably Their most Broadway stage worthy performance. Both in terms of choreo, space, story telling, and the theatrics
