I love that Build Fighters has really done a lot to improve the Gyan's perception to people, both in having the brother and sister who love it, and because of it getting some model kit love, between this, the Valuable Pod, and the upcoming Gyancelot
Man, despite having only the RX-78-2, imo, Bandai is doing a really good job on the Revive kits! I ignored the Gyan before, but this review made me change my mind! And man, what's happening? Your reviews are getting better and better! Thank you very much!
I don't think there's going to be one. to clarify I don't think there will be a revive version of it. but with Gundam the origin you better believe there is going to be a sweet Gale GOOG and I've heard rumors that the standard green zaku is coming out for the origins line
+ZakuAurelius can the bendable wrist joint can able to swap to other Revive wrists, like Gundam's or Gouf's? maybe i'll get at least 2 Gyan kits if it does. i've been trying to do the forward fencing thrust pose on the other kits with little success. heck i'd still get this kit twice even if it doesnt hehehe...
So cool how you state that you don't like the model in terms of aesthetics; even though, you gave us a great review. It's good you praise the model for its design improvements, articulation and other structural characteristics. In gunpla, nostalgia, heavy weaponry, and good looks are not all. Thanks again.
Tbh, I completely forgot the Gyan even existed before they announced the Revive kit. ^^; But the more I see of it the more I fall in love with it. And my RX-78-2 could use a friend. :D
I hope they make a Revive Dom/Rick Dom. You know what, Hell with it, Bandai should make a Revive version of every suit from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, instead of putting all their profits into P-Bandai and all that MG crap...
I can't be the only one noticing how nuts HG's have been getting. The small part separation with the elbow is something I would have never expected a few years ago.
Just starting with Gunpla but this Revive kits and the IBO kits seems to be a good way to start, also they are dirty cheap even in amazon US. Thanks for the review Zaku, now I know which lines I'll start to collect :P
Yeah, they are pretty awesome, right now I have two 00 and two Build Fighters models waiting for me. I started last year when I started with some cheap knock-off that my fathers bought me when I was a teenager (15 years ago). I have been seeing you tutorials and polishing my techiniques with those models to start with the original ones. You do a very good work in your videos buddy!! Greetings from Mexico!
I have this kit but I don't know if I should buy the Valuable Pod because i'm not sure if it's compatible with it. The shoulders looks a lot bigger than the old Gyan.
it doesn't. Hobbylink.tv reviewed it, its posted on their RUclips page. The Valuable Pod fits on everywhere except the shoulders. This Revive kit has a ball joint on its shoulder as a connection, while the old Gyan had only a peg, so the Valuable Pod shoulders could fit.
I'm waiting for the old MS revive :) we definitely need gelgoog revive.Anyway do you guys think, they put zaku II revive to the origin series ? so there will be no zaku II revive or gouf origin.
Zach, what are you doing to my wallet. Im already afraid that my private warehouse at hlj is getting to big to ship in one box and you go and pull this review on me?! Great review!
this is one of the few guys whose main weapon was a beam saber. with a lot of these other kits I have there's almost zero reason to give him beam saber when he has all these other weapons to choose from. it doesn't really look like it has any weapons other than the melee so you underestimate it. you think it's raising its Shield to defend so you go on the attack and open yourself up. the gray in the center are mines and all the little spikes on the inside of the two outer circles are all missiles.
@@ZakuAurelius I just got both the gyan and build strike galaxy cosmos along with other supplies from my usual hobby shop. Also you were actually the first to tell me to get the gyan over the build strike galaxy cosmos
Here's a question: I'm looking for another revive kit to get, and so far I've got the RX-78-2 and the Gouf. What revive kit should I get next? So far I'm thinking either Gyan or Force Impulse, but I'd like to hear other suggestions.

same...

Anonymous Li its not rumors ths standard green zaku is happening it was revealed at the shizouka show
Give them time, they'll get around to the Goog.
I've always liked the Gyan because it is so different.
The MG Gyan is still one of my favorite kits and we worth a look, if you liked this one.
oh my god i just bought the old one and they made a revive version of gyan!!
this got announced at the beginning of the year.
Jango The Blue Fox wow....i didn't know that
badut bakekok
you should watch Zack's Gunpla news then. he does it every month.
+badut bakekok Indo?
gruntgrunt 23 yesh
wow i really like the new mechanisms on the wrist and shield... i hope this will continue on the future kits... it gives more posing options...
soooo many posing options!

This looks like a great kit. I am absolutely in love with the revive line. I can't wait for more Zeta kits and god willing some ZZ kits.
Here's hoping!
Tbh, I completely forgot the Gyan even existed before they announced the Revive kit. ^^;
But the more I see of it the more I fall in love with it. And my RX-78-2 could use a friend. :D
I couldn't agree more xD
Or a sparring partner XD
To be fair, I think the Gyan was in one episode of the original anime, and completely cut from the movie trilogy
I wasn't even really interested in this (like you I'm not a huge fan of the design) but now I want it!Great review!
I hope they make a Revive Dom/Rick Dom. You know what, Hell with it, Bandai should make a Revive version of every suit from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, instead of putting all their profits into P-Bandai and all that MG crap...
I like the look of the Gyan. Nostalgia probably has a lot to do with that.
3 HG that steal my attention are Revive Hyaku shiki, Impulse, and astaroth origin, looking foward for you to review them
I actually like the design of the Gyan.
That is a great looking kit. Gonna have my local shop order me one asap.
But now in gundam seed freedom there had gyan shin asuka will use it
Really cool design, hope that Gyancelot shares this kit's features :))
Me too! I'm really looking forward to the Gyancelot now!
+ZakuAurelius I'm seriously thinking of kit-bashing it when it comes out just for the novelty of naming it 'Gyandam' :))
+Jin Wu a Turn-A head would probably look good on it though..
I don't know why but the toe articulation excites me
I can't be the only one noticing how nuts HG's have been getting. The small part separation with the elbow is something I would have never expected a few years ago.
I know hey! Bandai seems to be putting large efforts into their HGs these days!
I might need to pick up this kit. The Gyancelot kit also looks promising
Gyancelot uses this kit as it's basis. so Gyancelot will likely be just as good since it shares most of the same parts.
look very well done and high quality
I'm now going to get this kit
good choice!
ZakuAurelius I like old uc suits like this so its a must for me
just want to ask whether this Gyan Revive is compatible with Valuable Pod? I just thinking to combine the Valuable Pod to this kit.
Technically, no.
Unless you can do heavy modifications to make it compatible.
Just starting with Gunpla but this Revive kits and the IBO kits seems to be a good way to start, also they are dirty cheap even in amazon US. Thanks for the review Zaku, now I know which lines I'll start to collect :P
Haha, you're almost spoiled by how good the Revive and HGIBO kits are!

Well that's too bad. Thanks!
What do you think about the GBF Gyancelot? It looks like it's gonna be another great kit.
Yeah I can't wait for that kit!

Honestly thought the Gyan was always the weirdest looking mobile suit
does the hand fall of while you play with it
I'm tryna decide whether I should get this, the hg waff, or hgbf galaxy build strike gundam
The Waff is also great, but this kit is fantastic.
@@ZakuAurelius then what do you prefer? The hgbf build strike gundam galaxy cosmos or hguc gyan revive?
TheDiamondChris Productions Gyan ten times out of ten!
@@ZakuAurelius I just got both the gyan and build strike galaxy cosmos along with other supplies from my usual hobby shop. Also you were actually the first to tell me to get the gyan over the build strike galaxy cosmos
Thx for the review ^^ may i ask, how would you compare the revived ver to the old one though ?
Unfortunately I don't have the old one to compare. But I'm 100% sure this one is a huge improvement!
+ZakuAurelius maybe a new video showing how gunpla improved over the years ?? that would be amazing ^^
Do the hip parts snap into the leg like the Mk. II? I wanted to paint my Mk. II, but I can't get it apart... :(
Who was it that you credited with the new designs who worked on this as well? I wanna look them up.
NAOKI!

Laurigi between those two i would get the Gyan, it’s just so good. Impulse isn’t bad at all either. Mk-II is also very good
idk if I like it yet, maybe I will
What kind of action base is that?
It's a Kotobukiya flying base.
You should review a hg nz-666 Kshatriya that's normal
Unfortunately I don't have that here.
+ZakuAurelius well that sucks! Maybe later?
I don't know about the head though, should i try it?
Do like I will- change the head!
May I ask what stand you are using to pose the figure?
check my FAQ playlist
But what about the hide bombs? D:
Any link when i can buy it pleaseee
google.com
-_-
Just bought this and found out that there's a MG version. Alittle salty, but I'll live.
This version is also fantastic though! You won’t be disappointed
yo.
I think I know what you're up to XD
It be much better if they did a little something more to the head.
