Thanks for the video, TRS. Very helpful for my purchasing process. For the Bi-LED’s: I’m wondering if (since you said the LED chip is fixed inside the projector housing) I would have to replace the entire projector if the LED failed? Or are these typically built to allow LED bulbs to be easily switched in and out?
Hi, could you please suggest brightest headlight setup for reflector headlight. I am very much confused. I have to travel lobg dustances at night thats why i need good visibility on road. Road leagal or not doesnt matter. What i have in mind is 1. UPS led laser projector 2. D2s 5.0 + Philips XV2/Osram CBB or any brightest led bulb 3. NHK G5 EXL + Philips XV2/Osram CBB or any brightest led bulb
Can I replace a Bi-Xenon bulb with a Bi-LED bulb? I have aftermarket Bi-Xenon projector headlights in my car and they gave out on me and I'm curious if I can use Bi-LED bulbs in the same projector. Or do I have to buy a completely different Bi-LED projector?
planning a retrofit on my corolla. do i need both low and high beam power for high beam to work? im coming from an h4 setup so low beam power is off when switching to high beam.
We sell harnesses that will plug into your OEM wiring to make these work. If you have questions about exactly what you need our customer service team is happy to assist!
@@RetrofitSource Would love to but unfortunately I'm from Asia so ordering would be a pain, just wanted to check since I know it's possible with relays, but I don't know if I need both high and low powered if I switch to high beams.
No, the bi-xenon projector is a completely different unit than a bi-LED projector, which uses LED optics built into the projector itself so no bulbs are needed.
@@RetrofitSource Sorry if my question wasn't clear. My bi-xenon projectors came with H7 HID bulbs. Would it be possible for me to remove the H7 HID bulbs and replace it with H7 LED bulbs?
i just bought a toyota rav4 and they have these kind of lights and the high beam is pretty disappointing, is there any way to get better high beam? lightbars or any other lights?
I would recommend looking into something that you could grill mount like a 20ish inch bar. Baja would be my preferred brand but they have QUITE the wait time right now.
It's not "bi xenon led" its just "Bi-LED". The "Bi" refers to the shield dropping for high beam, and the "xenon" refers to the kind of bulb used in HID projectors, which is a HID bulb that creates light by burning xenon gasses. Also with the right setup and tuning, HID is still brighter than LED, but not by much.
Por esa casualidad no me quieren regalar un proyector ?? Yo pago el envio no importa. Aca en argentina es re dificil conseguir por la importacion te sacan mucha plata

I think you need to buy new projector
You would need to replace the entire projector.
Thanks for the info. Never really knew how they worked.
You bet!

This explained a lot can you manually move the shield with your finger ?
You can!

You'll need to install some new HID bulbs, LED will not fit or work with your OEM HID system.
What vehicle are you working on?
@@RetrofitSource Gotcha. Thanks for the reply! It's a 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium

Is there any chance the shield or solenoid might fail?
It is possible, any moving part can fail!
Sorry, newb here. I can interchange LED and HID in Bi-Xenon projectors?

Which is brighter?
Depends on the projector and application.

A lightbar would make a nice supplement for the high beam!
@@RetrofitSource which kind of light bar any suggestions?

Hi morimoto mini, which led bulpu led can I use for D2S 5.0 projector? Many LEDs do not fit in this bed Thank you.
No LED we carry will work well in these projectors. They are intended for HID!
Wow very cool
Very 😎
Sooo which one is brighter? Oem bi xenon hid or new oem bi xenon led??

I’m old school. I still prefer HID.
They are very comparable, its difficult to tell
Lol, difficult to tell.... measure the lux
Why the need for the spherical lens?
Because of the way they project the lights through the lens, each lens is made differently to perfectly project the lights.
Wow that's it, love the info
Thanks for watching

Hello there, i have a stock d3s bi xenon projector, how do i know if it's 2.5 or 3.0 without removing the cover lens and measure it
You'll basically have to open it up. Sorry! :(
