  • Aston Martin very kindly dropped me the keys to their last V12 Vantage S before the switch over to their new lineup, to be unveiled in a few short weeks at Geneva!
    A genuinely fantastic car and a massive thank you to everyone at Gaydon!

      @@KHD1982 Still with me! No issues at all actually. I've owned Porsches, BMWs, 20+ cars; this is my favorite by far. So much soul.

    The first thing you need to upgrade is the shocks , they’re wrong on the track and on the road ! I’ve got mine upgraded with custom Fournales suspensions and the car is so much more stable and confortable and the traction is hugely improved.
    Nice review by the way ! ;)

    Great review, I can tell that you genuinely love that car. I’m in the market for 2016 Vantage was going to get the V8 but now I will definitely consider the V12. Thanks David

      +Bill Lump I dare say it would have made the drive too busy. Given the power, the tall gears let you enjoy the rise through the RPM. I would have even been happy with 6!

    Excellent review Richard, very enjoyable. Have you tried the dog-leg manual and if so, when is the review coming? I have an N430 manual and it is amazing but having the V12S manual for a day was a dream - it is simply unbelievable to drive. The DB11 although excellent is nowhere near as good.

    • @ManualFox
      @ManualFox  7 лет назад

      Thank you! I would love to produce a dog-leg review, but time and resources are short. I'm hoping to do more very soon. I've heard the N430 is amazing. Good to race, I'm assuming!

    That was one of the best goddamn reviews ever!!!!!!! Now, when it comes to V12's, I'd rather prefer with turbos, why? b'cus I hate reving the life out of the engine while it's gasping for air but not getting any...... I own a 2005 S65 AMG, and I know from experience how much heat a normal aspirated V12 soaks in the engine, while my biturbo V12 with 2 intercoolers are feeding the engine with fresh cold air, yet still the heat is tremendous due to the turbos and the engine. Imagine runing a mile with a scarf wraped around your face during summer time.....you still get air alright, but not the kind you need..... need I say more?

    • @ManualFox
      @ManualFox  8 лет назад

      +mikealanzo Glad you liked the review! More to come, in time. I'll take your word on the Mercedes. For sure, the effects of the inter-cooler and increased VE certainly help... I just hope it doesn't take away some of the positive "personality" traits in nasp engines seem to give. Aston have said they're excited to show me what they've got in Geneva and I think it's going to be more than just an engine upgrade.

    • @mikealanzo
      @mikealanzo 8 лет назад

      :). And I take your word on the "personality", you got a point there.... the feeling and the sound is completely different. As you mentioned, let's hope the AM ppl do a good job on the new engine. PS. you got yourself a subscriber :)

    It's a goddamn shame they refuse to use a real triple-pedal setup in lieu of their awful paddler.

    • @ManualFox

      +noobasdfjkl I think so too. Who knows, maybe it will happen... still, wouldn't be upset if I had to settle for the paddles!
