Having done now 5+ trip in Vietnam riding different bikes, the Winner X is the right one for me. Mainly because of your first point, it's smaller, closer to the ground, easier to manage on small single trail, next to a cliff type of road in North Vietnam. The DT217 towards the bamboo raft for example between Meo Vac and Bao Lac, I'd much rather use this than a big XR150. I can easily use both feet if I'm uncomfortable etc. But that's maybe just me. Anyhoo, amazing bike and I'll be using it again in a few weeks.
How about the range on one tank? That's a huge plus point of the XR, good for ~350 - 400km. Since it's more difficult to access the gas tank on a loaded Winner, I would hope the range is similar?
XR has a much bigger gas tank and range. But you can argue having no gas gauge on the XR is annoying. Winner you need to fill up in the morning and at lunch time on a days drive. The XR only once a day.
Certainly, the older Winner was much quicker than the Exciter. The new Winner X is a bit heavier now. I think Winner VS Exciter is an interesting race. However, I think with a good rider, the Winner will win. The engine is better than Exciter. With normal riders, the bikes are probably very close to being the same speed.
For normal use they are different categories yes. But we are motorbike rental shop in Vietnam, and these two motorbikes are often compared side by side.
@@DominateYourGoal they're slow, high saddle, no fuel gauge, air cooled, bad fuel economy, have to be serviced only by Tigit. I rented one and I remember it feeling really hot on my lower legs. The only reason to get one is if you're actually off roading, for which I'd rent. Idk why they're recommended as the standard expat motorbike here.
That fwd slanting seat that Honda is pushing on the blade/wave as well makes you keep sliding forward, killing the family jewels. The old dream II-s would be a lot more comfy I feel.

Thank u sir! Watching from ph
You are so tall sir that you make the bike like a grom or a mini bike
The bike of choice for racing boys and grab riders.
The winner x was just released on Philippines last saturday, february 3.
There must be a vietnamese mechanic that could put a winner engine into an XR frame! This is the bike we all want!
I have been thinking of that engine swap to XR150L as well, or maybe also to CRF 150L.
Winner x for me is the best design all under bone in the Philippines

And the Winner engine is fuel injected so there is no choke to worry about. The Winner also has disc rear brakes vs XR 150 drums
Both good points
I would add more to my savings and buy myself a R15 in November
It's a bit like the Yamaha Exciter. Is the Winner as quick off the mark?

@@Tigitmotorbikes Thanks for that.
How does it compare to the Honda Blade?
You can't compare. They are different in every way.
Blade is a 110cc Semi-Automatic
Winner is a 150cc Manual motorbike
Greetings, Do you or know of someone who will import this machine to America? 🇺🇸
Regards
I am 5' 11", am I too tall for this motorcycle? Hanoi to HCM
No you are not
I'm 1.778 meters tall and weigh about 100kg. What motorbike do you recommend for my size traveling around H.C.C.City and surrounding areas?
Honda SH 150 if doing scooter.
Honda XR 150 if doing manual motorbike.
Thank you for your swift reply.@@Tigitmotorbikes
i think you can't compare the XR to the Winner. they're on different category.

Suzuki is more powerful
The Suzuki Raider?
Nah, it isn't

any chance of a Yamaha PG-1 review? especially as a fellow tall rider
@@HellusRaizen Suzuki Raider more powerful at high rpm but we need low end toque and honda is much more better choice for this..
