I was Serge's opponent in round three. The way he was able to finally kill me was via Prime Time getting dark depths and thespians stage. I did make him work for it though, he attacked into my board to get glacial chasm and some other filth, forgetting that I had a first striker equipped with Basilisk Collar.

One of the jokes in my commander group is that the most powerful deck in the format is Titania in the command zone 1 zuran orb and 98 forests, is this also a good highlander deck?
well considering there is no command zone :P Lands is a powerful deck in the format yes. Highlander is more 100 card singleton legacy than anything similar to commander.
Has anyone tried Kamal, Fist of Krosa in Hoof? It's weak to Karakas and spot removal, but provides a Mana sink with his overrun ability and sweeper insurance by animating their lands in response to their sweeper. It's probably too much of a do-nothing to play though.
A card that would be good in Alex's deck that I have never heard any of these guys mention is Reyhan, Last of the Abzan. One of those, playable otherwise and potentially amazing cards.
@@faceoctopus4571 The only relevant cards on the table were Sword of the Meek and Candelabra. My opponent tapped out for Fact or Fiction(?), and I responded by casting Whir of Invention for Thopter Foundry, then Crop Rotation for Tolarian Academy and popped off.
Sorry to say but my experience at GP van was very negative, and the only reason for that would be that the judging was actually just plain awful. I watched my friends judge call and to make a long story short during the call the judge accidentally revealed a card for the opponents hand to my friend while attempting to perform a rewind.
