- I have begun activities to regenerate trees that have been cut down for various reasons.
Sawdust is reused for various purposes.
In this video, a woodlathe is used to woodturning to create a vase from logs.
What vases can be created from this old log? !
I'm glad if you can see it until the end.

The shape is lovely. I got worried when I saw you sand the bottom since it's so easy to mess up the level, but it turned out ok.

Hi Yamabiko. Another great achievement, I really like the heated wood
Thank you very much!!🙏🇯🇵
The bark was very easy to peel off, but the pattern created over many years is really beautiful.
Have a nice day!!🌏
I would not have thought that you could turn the log as you did. I really like how the wood grain turned out. Thank you. This is a lovely piece of art.
Thank you for your comment!!🙏
I think I'm the only turner thinking about making this a work. I appreciate nature.

Just wow😯 another excellent work! Thank you Yamabiko!🇯🇵🤝🇭🇺

Thank you very much!! Tony Wood Craft🙏🇯🇵
I subscribe to your channel and am very interested in your techniques and tools.
Have a good day!!
I am a woodturner. I have watched 100's of videos online of woodturning. You are by far the best in every aspet of the craft. I love your videos and keep them coming.
Thank you for your comment! I have been woodturning for 1 year and 9 months.
I think I'm a beginner.
However, it has grown very quickly since I started RUclips. There are many turners or teachers here, so you can get guidance just by posting a video.🙇
In the future, I'm studying techniques to become a turner like Richard Ruffan, Mike Mahoney and David Ellsworth.
Japanese woodturner Shigenobu Inoue is in Japan. He quickly makes paper-thin pieces. You may be able to search on Facebook.
Have a happy day!!🙇🇯🇵
I love the vase, I always agree with your designs, you keep it simple and let the wood really do the talking! Also, where do you get that little l.e.d. magnetic light? I really need to get one for doing hollow forms and vases.
Thank you very much!!🙏🇯🇵 I'm very glad to hear that!!
It seems that it is being sold by a famous author. I bought this in Japan and I think it's the same product.

At least with the logs age you are well assured it's dry thus no cracking after turning. What type of wood is it, it has a very interesting grain.
Thank you for your comment! I am studying about drying wood. It was dry enough and was a very hard variety and interesting pattern.
Lovely wood, I'm glad you put it in the lathe the way you did, because in that way you can see the grain wrap around the entire piece. I also really like the medulary rays in the oak :)
Cheers!
Thank you very much!!!🙏🇯🇵
I want to make various things so that I can enjoy this grain from various angles.
Have a nice day!!🌏
Cute 😁
Thank you very much!!🙏 From Japan🇯🇵
Very beautiful and somehow simple piece.
Thank you for your comment as always!! Greetings from Japan🙇🇯🇵 I think simple is best.

Good morning. It's very beautiful. I love how you highlighted the exceptional drawing of wood. I have a little question, I see that there is a lot of wood waste, all this mass of wood waste you use as fuel for heating? I do not think it can have other uses for this kind of waste. I hope you don't mind my question. It must be my ecological fiber that makes me ask myself this type of questions. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. For me it is always a moment of relaxation and appeasement. Gabriel (France).
Good morning.
Thank you for your comment! In my case, sawdust is recycled into building materials. For example, soundproofing materials and heat insulating materials. Some Japanese turners sprinkle to prevent weeds in their crops. I want to harden some of the sawdust with resin into a bowl.
Getting from Japan🙇🇯🇵

Another nice project. Do you know what you are going to make or do you decide after you have the wood balanced?
Thank you for your many comment!🇯🇵🙇 I proceed with the processing according to the condition and feeling of the wood. Sometimes the design is not very good.
Nice result. Magnificent timber
Thank you very much!!🙏 From Japan🇯🇵

Excellent vase. Nicely done. Can you tell us what was the finish that you used?
Thank you for your comment!🇯🇵🙇
Uses a paint that cures in response to moisture. When I contacted the manufacturer, I answered that it could not be shipped overseas. That's a shame.
Linda peça parabéns!.

hello, first of all know that I am a fan of the tounage universe in which you operate. your vase is just beautiful, your videos are simple but very pleasant to watch ...
I recognized the very heavy vicmarc 300, I would like to know what dimension of hollowing gouges you use to profile your part, and what is the finishing product you use?
Thanks for reading me...
sorry on this video you do not use the vicmar...
Thank you for your comment! Hollowing is done with 5 / 8inch bowl gouge and 1inch scraper. For finishing, we use paint that cures in response to moisture. Greetings from Japan.🙇🇯🇵
VICMARC is very heavy and stable. However, because it is large, it cannot be installed at home, so it cannot be used every time because it is located in a remote location. However, RIKON is enough for small items.
Хорошая работа!👋👋👋
Большое спасибо!🙏🇯🇵 Хорошего дня!
Lovely
Thank you so much!!🙏🇯🇵
I did not like it. After all that work it looked primitive, dark, and rough.
Thank you for your comment!🙇🇯🇵 It's a pity, but what I didn't do well with the design was my lack of study.
Yamabiko Wood Art ---it looked ark. Not bright or beautiful. But it was expertly done.
Beautiful 👍👍👍 . Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much!!🙏🙏 From Japan🇯🇵🇯🇵 Have a good day!!
The structure of this vase is reminiscent of the shell of a coconut, also the veins and the drawing. However, the shell of a coconut is darker.
Thank you for your comment!🙏🇯🇵
I considered the direction and shape of the tree so that this grain would be easy to see.
The result, as you say, was coconut.
What is the translation for the metal container you were using?
Thank you for your comment!!🙏
A paint made in Japan that cures in response to moisture!🇯🇵
what sort of modification did you make to your lathe? a piece that size would have broken a normal midi lathe.
Thank you for your comment!🙏🇯🇵
Like the high-end model, I changed to motor replacement and inverter control.
The number of rotations can be changed finely, so I am trying not to damage the lathe.

First time I've seen you use a forstner bit to hollow out a piece. Great video enjoy watching your creations.

It is mostly used for works with wide and deep entrances. Please see if you have time.

The satin urethane you finish your pieces with is like nothing I have seen on others' pieces.
It is in keeping with the entire aesthetics of your work. Simple, understated and complimentary.
Thank you for your comment as always!!🙇🇯🇵
This urethane is excellent in that it cures in response to a small amount of water. Increases the strength of softened wood.
👍🇨🇦
Thank you for your comment!! From Japan🙇🇯🇵
Beautiful, as usual. And I see the saw again!
Thank you very much!!🙇🇯🇵 The saw is an inexpensive model made in Japan. For Japanese products, pull and cut.
